Availability in the UK hasn’t yet been announced, but based on the US price of $249, the Chromebook 14 will cost somewhere in the region of £220 in the UK for the base, non-Full-HD model. Its chances? Pretty good, I’d say. Build quality is solid and if the Full HD screen makes it to the UK, the Chromebook 14 will be one of the best budget Chromebooks out there.

You won’t find expensive displays, quad-core processors or touchscreens here, but what you have is a cheap device with excellent battery life that can help kids do their homework, families organise their lives, and pretty much all the basics that most people want most of the time. It’s also lightweight and acts like a proper laptop rather than some weird hybrid. Old-school, with modern aesthetics and performance.

Acer:
En 1976, la société a été fondée à Taïwan sous le nom de Multitech et a été rebaptisée Acer ou Acer Group en 1987. La gamme de produits comprend, par exemple, des ordinateurs portables, des tablettes, des smartphones, des ordinateurs de bureau, des moniteurs, des téléviseurs et des périphériques informatiques. Depuis 2007, le groupe a fusionné avec Gateway Inc. et Packard Bell, qui commercialisent également leurs propres gammes de produits pour ordinateurs portables.
Les ordinateurs Acer sont conçus pour une variété d'utilisations, y compris les ultrabooks pour une utilisation mobile, les ordinateurs portables de jeu pour les joueurs, les options abordables pour les tâches quotidiennes et les ordinateurs portables convertibles 2 en 1 pour plus de polyvalence. Le portefeuille de produits d'Acer comprend également des tablettes qui offrent des capacités informatiques et multimédias portables.
La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
Intel HD Graphics (Braswell):
Carte graphique intégrée aux processeurs Intel Braswell (Celeron et Pentium), basée sur l'architecture Broadwell (Intel Gen8) prenant en charge les instructions DirectX 11.2. En fonction du processeur, la carte offre soit 12 unités de calcul, soit 16. Les fréquences varient aussi en fonction du processeur
Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell):
Carte graphique intégrée dans les processeurs Intel de la série Braswell (2016 Celeron). Basée sur l'architecture Broadwell (Intel Gen8), elle prend en charge DirectX 11.2. Selon le processeur, elle offre 12 cœurs de shaders (EU) et différentes vitesses d'horloge.
Intel HD Graphics 510:
Carte graphique intégrée (GT1) à certains processeurs ULV Ultra Basse Tension de génération Skylake (TDP de 15 W) d'entrée de gamme. Embarque 12 unités d'exécution
Intel HD Graphics 505:
Carte graphique entrée de gamme intégrée à certains SoC ULV Intel Apollo Lake. Prend en charge les instructions DirectX 12.
Intel UHD Graphics 600:
Carte graphique intégrée d'entrée de gamme avec compatibilité DirectX 12, qui peut être trouvée dans certains SoC de la série ULV Gemini Lake. Par rapport à la HD Graphics 500, la 600 possède des sorties vidéos améliorées. Par rapport à la UHD Graphics 605 plus puissante, la 600 possède moins de nuanceurs à une fréquence inférieure.
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Par rapport à l’ancienne génération des processeurs Atom, les performances par cycle d’horloge ont été grandement améliorées tout comme le circuit graphique intégré.
Intel Gemini Lake:
Celeron N4000:
Processeur double cœur à faible consommation de la série Gemini Lake, pour les portables bon marché. Cadencé entre 1,1 et 2,6 GHz, et intégrant un adaptateur graphique compatible DirectX 12.

Les tablettes de très grandes dimensions, les ultraportables, les ultrabooks et les convertibles de 11 à 13 pouces affichent habituellement ce poids sur la balance.

Ce poids est le plus répandu parmi les ordinateurs portables standards de 14-16 pouces.
79%: La note n'est pas convaincante. On doit considérer qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'ordinateurs portables qui reçoivent une note en dessous de 60%. Ce portable est en dessous de la moyenne, Nous ne conseillons pas vraiment son achat.
