And if you're looking for a more portable machine with longer battery life--and are willing to spend more--get the $1,799 15-inch MacBook Pro. Overall, though, those looking for a powerful 15-inch multimedia machine at a reasonable price should put the XPS 15 at or near the top of their shopping list.

Touch has come a long way, baby. From the first Windows convertible tablets (which are still being produced by a couple of manufacturers) to the Apple iPad in all of its touch glory, touch-input devices today look and feel a lot better than they used to. The highly configurable XPS 15 is a speedy performer, and the touch screen in our test unit was both convenient and fun. It's a winning touch laptop.

The majority of this review shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. We know quad-core Sandy Bridge is faster than Clarksfield, and it’s much faster than Arrandale. It also manages reasonable power usage under light loads, although higher loads can definitely suck down power. So take one of our favorite laptops from last year and update the system with a Sandy Bridge CPU and a slightly newer GPU and what do you get?

The ThinkPad Edge E220s is the best-looking and most comfortable small business notebook on the market. Its gorgeous soft-plastic and chrome design makes a bold statement in the boardroom or the coffee shop and its keyboard provides the best typing experience in the business. Plus, its slight frame fits comfortably in even the smallest bag. Our only issue is the E220's below-average battery life, though the approximate 5 hours of runtime will be long enough for many users. If you need more endurance, consider the $855 Toshiba Portege R835, which lasts an hour and a half longer on a charge. However, if you want the ultimate in small business style and comfort, the ThinkPad Edge E220s should be at the top of your list.

Puce mobile basée sur la GeForce GT 435M avec des vitesses d'horloge légèrement plus élevées.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
