Overall the LifeBook S6410 is a solid ultra-portable laptop for business users. Its performance is average rather than leading-edge, but it’s more that up to the task of running typical business applications. The integrated Intel graphics won’t handle demanding 3D applications or games, and the fixed Webcam can make positioning a little difficult. But the display itself is sharp and clear, and the integrated 3G connectivity and 802.11n are perfect for those who need to stay connected. The only real disappointment is build quality, which could prove a problem under heavy use.

The S6510 is a notebook designed for corporate users, with corporate needs in mind. Paramount among those needs are reliability, security and portability. This is a Centrino Duo notebook, so along with an Intel T7700 Core 2 Duo processor, which hums along at 2.4GHz and has 4MB of L2 cache, it also uses the new Intel 965 chipset, which has an 800MHz front side bus.The S6510 is certainly a very good notebook and it’s definitely the lightest notebook of its size that we’ve ever tested. The built-in security features all worked quite well and we didn’t experience any problems or have any issues in testing. We especially like the spill-proof keyboard! Our only complaints are that it looks extremely ordinary (maybe that’s another one of its anti-theft measures!?) and it seems quite expensive given its mid-range hardware.

Now that we've all generally accepted the 14-inch laptop as the new mainstream standard-- replacing the just slightly too bulky 15-inch model--it's time for PC makers to concentrate on refining these systems, squeezing better designs out of the 14-inch design. Fujitsu takes a step in the right direction, slimming its new 14-inch LifeBook down to a mere 4 pounds, which is lighter than Dell's 14-inch Inspiron 1420 and even Apple's smaller, 13-inch MacBook. Starting at $1,529 (our review unit was $2,039), the Fujitsu LifeBook S6510 is more expensive than both Dell and Apple laptops, but if weight is a primary concern, this LifeBook offers a good mix of components, lots of screen real estate per pound, and business-friendly extras including TPM (Trusted Platform Module).

Overall our final impressions of the Fujitsu LifeBook S6510 are overwhelmingly positive. We would have liked to see at least one more USB port and the display didn't live up to the high standards we've come to expect on Fujitsu laptops, but business professionals will be hard pressed to find a better 14-inch notebook for travel. Bottom line, the S6510 is the thinnest and lightest 14-inch notebook we've seen. Performance is on par with (or superior to) the competition, and the build quality is among the best you can find in the $1,500 to $2,000 price range.

Don't let the Fujitsu Lifebook S6510's ($2,039 direct) 14-inch widescreen fool you into thinking this is a hefty business laptop. At 4 pounds, it's definitely an ultraportable. You can reap all the benefits of a true road-warrior laptop without compromising screen real estate. Even better, no performance sacrifices were made to lower the weight. This configuration loads a standard-voltage 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 and 2GB of RAM. All you have to do is convince your business manager that this laptop is worth the two grand price tag. Very few PC makers can pull off a 4-pound laptop without skimping a little on screen size. The only sub-4-pound laptop I can think of with a 14-inch screen is the Panasonic Toughbook Y7 (stay tuned for our review).

Fujitsu-Siemens: FSC est l'un des fabricants internationaux majeurs avec particulièrement des parts de marché élevés en Allemagne. Dans les pays de langue allemande beaucoup d'ordinateurs portables de FSC sont passés en revue. Seulement peu de ces ordinateurs portables examinés réalisent des positions supérieures accordant l'estimation totale et l'estimation des qualité/prix.

FSC critiques

Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100: L’Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 est une carte graphique intégrée sur un chipset Mobile Intel 965GM (pour Merom = architecture Core 2). C’est un successeur de la GMA 950. Les plus intéressant c’est l’ajout d’un pipeline programmable. Grâce à l’introduction des caractéristiques DirectX9, HDR et Transform & Lighning (T&L) matériel, son prédécesseur n’avait que du T&L en logiciel – devrai être prêt pour Windows Vista Premium (supporte Aero Glass complètement). Selon nos informations elle devra être bien meilleure que la GMA 950.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Carte graphique intégrée (Mémoire partagée) livrée avec le chipset GM45(Montevina). Grâce à deux shaders de plus et une vitesse plus élevée, beaucoup plus rapide que la GMA X3100. Mais toujours pas envisageable pour les joueurs (Les jeux DirectX 10 ne seront pas jouable ou alors à de très faibles résolutions). Le processeur vidéo permet de décoder la HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2) , pour la lecture BluRay sur des processeurs plus lents.

Intel Core 2 Duo:

C'est le successeur du Core Duo avec des pipelines 5-20% plus rapides sans consommation supplémentaire. Comme une addition à la conception du core duo là existe un quatrième décodeur, une SSE-unité amplifiée et une unité logique arithmétique additionnelle (ALU). Le core 2 duo pour ordinateurs portables est identique aux processeurs de core 2 duo d'ordinateur de bureau mais les portables fonctionnent avec des tensions inférieures et une vitesse de Frontside. L'exécution des portables également synchronisés est 20-25% inférieure à des ordinateur de bureau en raison de fréquence d’horloge inférieure de Frontside et plus lents de disques durs.

T7500: Le Core 2 Duo T7500 est de la génération Merom Core 2 Duo avec 4Mo de cache de nvieau 2. C'est un CPU de milieu de gamme (en 2009) donc à égalité avec le P7550 ou le Turion II Ultra M640/M660.

P8600: Un dual core puissant et pas cher. Suffisant pour la plupart des applications avec un TDP de 25W TDP donc compatible avec les portables les plus mobiles.

T9400: Le T9400 est un uissant CPU pour portable proche du Core 2 Duo P9500 mais qui consomme 35W.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: Version à un noyau du duo core et successeur du Pentium M d'Intel ; En raison des 65nm  de réduction, structurer une plus petite consommation de courant égale par rapport au Pentium M (au maximum 27 watts) ; l'exécution est comparable au Pentium M (légèrement plus rapide en raison de quelques améliorations).

13.3: Ce format d'affichage peut s'appeler le mini grand format pour petits portables.
L'avantage est que le subnotebook peut être  de petite dimension et peut être porté facilement. de plus Un petit écran a un avantage, il a besoin de peu de courant, ce qui améliore le temps d'exécution de batterie et en conséquence la mobilité. L'inconvénient est que la lecture des textes est épuisante pour les yeux. Les hautes résolutions sont a proscrire.

14.1: La taille d'affichage de 14 pouces est un mélange entre les petits formats de petits portables et l'affichage standard de 15 pouces.
La raison pour laquelle tant de personnes possèdent des écrans de taille moyenne: cette taille n'est pas épuisante pour les yeux, n'a pas besoin de trop de courant et les ordinateurs portables peuvent rester tout à fait compacts.
