The typing and tracking experience on this ultrabook is bar none, and you'll have a hard time wearing the machine down with general business-oriented tasks. In that regard, this is a work horse that would serve you well. While I would love to recommend the T440s, it's difficult to do so at this configuration. If lasting power from a Windows business laptop is key for you, then lose the touchscreen at checkout. Otherwise, look elsewhere (like the paragraph above) for more focused machines.

That’s not to take anything away from its speed; with high scores in PCMark 7 and subjectively snappy performance, the T440s is a winner in general usage. And the GPU-induced throttling is only a problem when GPU load is underfoot—meaning you can fully tax the ULV CPU to full Turbo Boost frequencies without any performance sacrifice. But for those hoping for a Haswell-powered refresh of the thin-and-light, full voltage, sub-four-pound powerhouses that were the T430s and the X230, the T440s’ philosophical shift surely comes as a bit of a disappointment.

The ThinkPad T440s is the slim 14" business portable to beat. Lenovo calls it an Ultrabook, which might be stretching what you think of as an Ultrabook, but it meets Intel's criteria for that name (Intel invented the marketing term "Ultrabook"). No, it's not quite as sexy (in a Lenovo sort of way) as the X1 Carbon, but for those who want more keyboard travel, the Power Bridge battery system and more ports, not to mention upgradable RAM and HDD, the ThinkPad T440s is hard to beat.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" de la légende anglaise, novo (latin) pour nouveau) a été fondée en 1984 en tant que société chinoise de commerce d'ordinateurs. En 2004, la société était le plus grand fabricant d'ordinateurs portables en Chine et, après l'acquisition de la division PC d'IBM en 2005, le quatrième au monde. En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.

En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.

En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

Intel HD Graphics 4400:

GPU intégré à certains processeurs ULV (GT2) avec 20 EU de la gamme Haswell.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M: GeForce GT 645M/640M renommée avec des amélioration minimes au niveau de la consommation d'énergie.
