The ThinkPad T420 or T420i is a great option as a college laptop. It has the battery life, usability and build quality it takes to get work done around campus. The option of configuring either a budget level laptop of around $800 or high-end laptop configuration of $1,400+ is great and allows you to design a laptop that fits your needs, but still get the same build and design quality no matter what you include. I like the fact the option for a higher resolution screen is present, for those of us that find we can do work more efficiently using two windows open at once on the screen you will appreciate the 1600 x 900 resolution screen. Overall a thumbs up on buying the T420 that is a worth successor to the previous ThinkPad T410 and improves on an already great line of laptops.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T420 is a well-engineered 14" business notebook. It has the hallmark ThinkPad qualities including great build quality and a superior keyboard. I liked almost everything about it. The anti-glare screen prevents reflections and with a 1600x900 resolution, provides a lot of working space. The keyboard has a highly functional layout and the trackpoint and touchpad are easy to use. All this functionality can be taken to the road thanks to the 10 hours of battery from the optional 9-cell. Bottom line, the ThinkPad T420 isn't just a good business laptop ... the T420 is an excellent choice for business, home, and student use.

Lenovo: Lenovo Group Limited est le plus important de Chine et quatrième plus grand fabricant mondial d'ordinateurs personnels. Lenovo produit des PC de bureau, portables, serveurs, ordinateurs de poche, appareils d'imagerie, et téléphones mobiles. Lenovo fournit également l'intégration de technologies de l'information et des services de soutien, et de son unité QDI offre des fabrications sous contrat. Ses sièges exécutifs sont situés en Chine et aux Etats-Unis. Il est repris à Hong Kong. Lenovo a été créé en 1984 comme spin-off de l'Académie chinoise des Sciences de l'unité des nouvelles technologies. L'entreprise a commencé comme un revendeur, du distributeur et, plus tard, CM pour les marques, dont IBM, l'entrée sur le marché chinois. En 1990, Lenovo a commencé à fabriquer son propre PC et en 1997, est devenu le leader du marché en Chine. En 2004, Lenovo a racheté IBM PC bussiness pour $ 1.25 milliards. Lenovo critiques

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).

Intel HD Graphics 3000:

3 GPUs à venir (1er Trimestre 2011) intégrés aux CPU Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). Les 3000 / 200 correspondent à la puce GT2 avec 12 Execution Units (EUs).

NVIDIA NVS 4200M:

Carte professionnelle basée sur une GeForce GT 520M avec un BIOS et des pilotes spéciaux pour les applications pro. La fréquence est plus élevée que cette de la GT 520M, dans le Latitude 6420 elle est au niveau d'une GT 520M.

2520M:

14.0: La taille d'affichage de 14 pouces est un mélange entre les petits formats de petits portables et l'affichage standard de 15 pouces.
La raison pour laquelle tant de personnes possèdent des écrans de taille moyenne: cette taille n'est pas épuisante pour les yeux, n'a pas besoin de trop de courant et les ordinateurs portables peuvent rester tout à fait compacts.
