The Samsung NC110 is a very robust and good quality netbook that you can use for general computing and browsing. It is not the most powerful or aesthetically complex netbook in its price range and it does have a couple of weaknesses in performance and design. However, for just under $300, you will find that this notebook can already suffice your needs for a solid, high quality and desirable piece for your daily computing.

Although Samsung arrived late in the netbook sector, it made quite an impact when it did get there with the release of the NC10, a landmark product in its time. Although the Samsung NC110 doesn't do any better than the rest, it does at least as well. With higher battery life, it could have stood out from the crowd a bit more but, as things stand, it's still a netbook you can buy without worrying about making a bad choice.

The Samsung NC110 is a solid entry in the budget 10 inch netbook space. It’s not the most powerful mini-laptop around and it doesn’t have the highest resolution display or the longest battery life. The six hour battery life was good as all my tests were with Wireless and Bluetooth on as well as a good screen brightness. I also used a fair bit of disc activity with various external hard disks. The recharge time (while off) was 140 minutes. I liked the matt white finish for the keyboard and more importantly the trackpad area.

La marque Samsung est l'une des plus grandes marques de la Corée du Sud. Samsung est un fabricant de portables, de taille moyenne selon les parts de marché et les revues.

Samsung critiques

Ses cartes graphiques ne sont pas faites pour le jeu. Et même si ils tournent, ce sera avec des erreurs d'affichage et un framerate ignoble. Ce cartes graphique sont totalement incompatible avec les joueurs! les applications de bureau et d'Internet, ne sont pas un problème pour ces cartes graphiques.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Carte graphique intégrée pour les Intel Atom N4xx CPUs. A peine plus rapide que les GMA 950 et donc pas non plus pour les jeux ou la HD.

Intel Atom:

Le processeur Intel Atom est un microprocesseur 64-bits pour ordinateurs portables petits et bon marché, les MIDs ou UMPC. La spécialité de la nouvelle architecture est dans le mode d'exécution "in order" (au lieu de l'habituel et plus rapide mode d'exécution "out of order"). Par conséquent, le coût du transistor de la série Atom est beaucoup plus faible, et donc moins cher à produire.

N550:

Dual core Atom avec un TDP de seulement 8.5 Watt. Avec sa fréquence de 1.5 GHz il est plus lent qu'un N465 Atom.

N570: Dual core Atom un peu plus rapide que le Atom N550 mais il reste plus lent que les processeurs CULV.

10.1: Le portable a un format d'affichage très petit et rare pour petit portables.
L'avantage est que le subnotebook peut être  de petite dimension et peut être porté facilement. de plus Un petit écran a un avantage, il a besoin de peu de courant, ce qui améliore le temps d'exécution de batterie et en conséquence la mobilité. L'inconvénient est que la lecture des textes est épuisante pour les yeux. Les hautes résolutions sont a proscrire.
