Le Toshiba Satellite A665-12x n'aura pas suscité de réel coup de cœur. Très performant en 2D, divertissant en 3D, on lui trouve facilement d'autres atouts, comme le confort de son clavier, la qualité de son système audio ou encore la présence d'un graveur Blu-ray. Pourtant, on reste sur le sentiment qu'au final, à 1 499 euros, tout cela est bien normal.

EN→FRAfter a few days spent with this PC, it’s a tad difficult to kiss it goodbye. Excellent finish, pleasant and functional design, remarkable hardware components, 3D capabilities, Windows Media Centre support, 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, TV tuner with RC… The attributes list seems endless. Toshiba has managed to fulfil its own goals perfectly with this Satellite newborn - it’s the ultimate multimedia machine. Luckily for all potential users, this request has not been an easy task to accomplish, and strong hardware which was required to back it all up is perfectly suited for other uses as well (office, business or gaming). The only thing to reproach is the rather anaemic battery, which provides the bare minimum of autonomy. We believe that this was conditioned by the need to cut back on the price somewhere, so this isn’t something to be too critical about. Toshiba’s Satellite A665-11T is well in front of its competitors in many regards, and set an example for a 3D notebook leader, one which will be difficult to dethrone. Finally, the attractive looks and excellently designed texture of the PC that keeps zero fingerprints were the things that we fancied the most.

The current (soon-to-be-outdated) 3D Vision notebook experience feels kludgy and tacked on with the A665-3DV, with a separate 3D emitter required. It usually works and when it does it looks fine, but on hardware like the GTS 350M it's more for movies and images than for gaming.

You can probably guess where this is going, as the new Satellite A665-3DV takes that familiar multimedia system and adds support for 3D Vision. Unless you're a huge 3D fan, the high price is a bit of a stretch for the 15.6-inch Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV, but we do appreciate the 3D Blu-ray playback.

EN→FRMy only complaints about this notebook are pretty minor. For starters, there aren't too many reasons to buy this notebook if you purchased the A665 last year. That's good for current A665 owners because it means that last year's laptop isn't obsolete, but it means that consumers will be alright if they buy an older configuration of the A665 that is on sale. I'm extremely glad that Toshiba added a USB 3.0 port to the A665-S5176, but if you are someone who uses the ExpressCard slot then you're out of luck. Although I'd like to see Toshiba improve the durability of the screen lid the new Satellite A665 still offers a great value for people shopping for a 15-inch multimedia laptop.

Il existe de nombreuses revues pour les modèles de Toshiba.
La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
NVIDIA GeForce 310M: La GeForce 310M succède à la GeForce G210M avec une vitesse équivalente (shader +30MHz à 1530MHz).
Intel HD Graphics 3000:
3 GPUs à venir (1er Trimestre 2011) intégrés aux CPU Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). Les 3000 / 200 correspondent à la puce GT2 avec 12 Execution Units (EUs).
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 350M:
Selon nos infos, la Geforce GTS 350M est une GTS 250M renommée. C'est une carte de milieu de gamme (avec de la VRAM DDR3) ou un peu plus véloce avec de la GDDR5.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M: La Nvidia GeForce GT 330M succède à la GT 230M et un peu plus rapide que la GT 240M.
Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

Intel Core i7:
720QM: Le Core i7-720QM est le Core i7 Quad Core de 2009 le plus lent: entre 1.6 et 2.8 GHz (grâce au mode Turbo). Il a l'avantage sur les logiciels optimisés pour plusieurs processeurs mais un peu moins bon pour les application mono core. Comparé aux autres Core i7 mobile, le 720QM ne possède que 6Mo de cache L3.
740QM:
Le Core i7-740QM est un CPU haut de gamme pour portables (en 2010) avec un fréquence de base faible et un Turbo Boost maximum de 2.93 GHz (pour un seul coeur). Il a donc les avantages du monocore avec sa fréquence élevée et les avantages des quadcores lents pour els applications de montage vidéo par exemple. Comparé& aux Core i7 mobile, le 740QM ne possède que 6Mo de cache L3.
2630QM:
Puissant Quad-core avec une architecture Sandy Bridge architecture avec une carte graphique intégrée et de la RAM dual-channel DDR3.
Intel Core i3:
2310M:
Dual-core basé sur l'architecture Sandy Bridge avec GPU intégré et contrôleur mémoire DDR3. Le CPU est cadencé à 2.1 GHz et supporte Turbo Boost 2.0 uniquement pour la carte gtaphique (650/1100MHz).
Intel Core i5:
460M:
Le Intel Core i5-460M est un dual core puissant pour portables qui passe de 2.53 à 2.8 GHz avec son mode Turbo. Il fait partie de la génération Nehalem (Westemere). L’Hyperthreading permet de double le nombre de processeurs soit 4 ici. Comparé aux Core i5-540M, le 460M ne supporte pas les instructions AES, VT-d et Trusted Execution et il a un Turbo Boost moins performant (2.8 contre 3.06 GHz).
450M:
Proche du Core i5-520M mais sans fonctions AES.
