With the Alienware 15, I’m a bit more bearish than I usually am when giving a laptop a first look—and I tend to give an untested laptop the benefit of the doubt. But I have two reasons why. First, I have high expectations not only from an Alienware machine (the company has a hard-won reputation for premium quality, after all), but also from any laptop that costs much more than $1,000, especially a gaming model. I’m just as deeply sensitive to getting the most for your money as I am to the expected life of the product. And the RTX 4050 launched in laptops in early 2023. Oof! Second, I’ve written and edited enough gaming-laptop reviews over the years to have a good idea of how these configurations will perform, particularly with GPUs we’ve tested dozens of times.

The Dell 15 makes its priorities clear. It is not trying to compete on design or push high-end performance. Instead, it focuses on getting the basics right for everyday use. The keyboard is comfortable enough for long sessions, performance stays steady for regular work and multitasking, and features like the full-size layout and practical port selection make it easy to use as a daily machine. At the same time, the compromises are easy to spot. The display is functional but not vibrant, the plastic build does not feel particularly premium, and battery life, at around four to five hours in my use, means you will be reaching for the charger during the day. It is also worth noting that the review unit uses a 1TB SSD, while the highest currently available variant in India, at 512 GB, is priced at Rs.

That said, it's clear where compromises have been made. The design feels dated, the single-channel memory holds back some performance, and battery life is below what you'd expect from a modern laptop in this segment. This is a machine best suited for students, office users, and anyone looking for a reliable workhorse for tasks like browsing, document editing, video streaming, and light multitasking.

The Dell 15 (DC15250) is a classic budget office laptop, built for everyday tasks, web browsing, video calls, online learning, and simple productivity. It does not try to be a premium ultrabook or a performance machine, and that is fine. Its goal is to offer a practical and affordable 15-inch experience, preferably for users who know exactly which configuration they are buying. That last part is important because the Dell 15 (DC15250) is more configuration-sensitive than it first appears. However, it also makes clear budget-class compromises in display quality, sustained performance, battery life, and port limitations. It can be a good basic work machine at the right price, but it is not a model you should buy blindly.

Sa gamme de produits comprend des ordinateurs de bureau, des ordinateurs portables, des systèmes de stockage, des moniteurs, des serveurs, des imprimantes, des appareils électroniques grand public et des périphériques. Dell propose des ordinateurs portables adaptés à diverses applications, telles que les ordinateurs portables professionnels, les ordinateurs portables de jeu, les ultra-portables et les postes de travail. Les ordinateurs portables professionnels Dell des séries Latitude et Precision sont une option pour les utilisateurs professionnels et les entreprises.

Ultra 5 225H: Processeur mobile haut de gamme basé sur l'architecture Arrow Lake avec 14 des 16 cœurs répartis en 3 clusters. Les 4 cœurs P rapides cadencent jusqu'à 4,9 GHz. Il y a également 8 petits cœurs E pouvant atteindre 4,3 GHz et 2 petits cœurs à faible consommation (même architecture) pouvant atteindre 2,5 GHz. Il intègre un petit NPU avec des performances de pointe de 13 TOPS et prend en charge vPro Essentials.

Intel Raptor Lake-U:

i5-1334U: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 2 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent un hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 12 threads. La fréquence du processeur varie de 0,9 à 4,6 GHz. Le TDP est spécifié à 15 watts.
