Nous avions beaucoup apprécié le Redmi 4, nous adorons le Redmi 5. En dépit d’un tarif très accessible, le smartphone offre une prestation complète et équilibrée. Ses principales faiblesses restent sa mémoire vive de seulement 2 Go et sa capacité de stockage (extensible) de 16 Go. Nous ne pouvons que recommander d’investir 20 euros supplémentaires pour la version 3 Go / 32 Go (189,90 euros). Comme l’excellent Huawei P8 Lite (2017), le Redmi 5 est bien fini, très endurant, plutôt doué en photo et bénéficie d’une bonne qualité d’affichage. Mais en 2018, son écran 18/9 fait la différence. Nous tenons probablement le meilleur smartphone à moins de 200 euros de ce début d’année.

But in terms of battery performance there is a slight downgrade and also the lack of Oreo is a letdown. Even then, the Redmi 5 offers good value for money and we would recommend buying the Rs 8,999 variant with 3GB RAM in case you are looking to buy one.

Xiaomi will undoubtedly sell massive numbers of the Redmi 5, and you do get a lot of bang for your buck. As usual, the Chinese giant continues to offer specifications that will be very hard for competitors to match. The processor is powerful enough to last for several years, and you get the 18:9 screen that most people want in their next phones. It's likely that the middle variant, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, will be the most popular. This is the one we used for our review, and we would spend the extra Rs. 1,000 over the base model because 2GB of RAM doesn't seem like much for even low-end Android phones these days. Unfortunately, we can't yet say for sure how different the experience would be with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM.

From the games we checked out, it’s a worthy option. Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

5.70": Avec 4,9 pouces, on commence à s’attaquer aux smartphones à grand écran. Cette taille d’écran reste néanmoins très répandue.

Un écran de plus grandes dimensions permettent des résolutions plus élevées, les détails comme la finesse des lettres seront meilleurs. Néanmoins, un écran de plus petite taille est synonyme de consommation énergétique moindre et souvent d’un terminal plus compact, plus léger et plus abordable.
