Le Predator Helios Neo 16S AI est essentiellement un PC gamer portable un peu... "comme les autres". C'est-à-dire qu'il a su suivre la tendance à la sobriété et offrir un châssis très confortable, en plus d'être visuellement attrayant, en évitant les fioritures des époques précédentes. Mais voilà : il fait aussi quelques sacrifices "sur la ligne". L'écran OLED est là, oui, mais sans début de réelle calibration HDR. Les performances sont là, oui, mais avec une puissance brute limitée et une chauffe un poil trop haute. L'autonomie est là, oui, mais sans réellement profiter des capacités des nouvelles puces. Au bout, en reste donc une configuration gamer tout à fait convenable, qui répond aux attentes, mais ne brille jamais vraiment.

À tarif équivalent, ce dernier le surclasse généreusement — sauf en matière de performances CPU, où les deux modèles ne jouent clairement pas à armes égales. Imparfait côté design (sa charnière, par exemple, nous inquiète), sujet à la chauffe, trop limité côté autonomie et non compatible Wi-Fi 7, le nouveau modèle compact d’Acer peine à convaincre tout à fait et accumule une foule de petits défauts qui ne devrait sincèrement pas être un sujet sur un produit affiché à plus de 3 000 euros dans l’Hexagone. Nous attendions mieux d’Acer sur ce produit.

While I’d personally pay that little bit extra for the sleek styling of an Asus Zephyrus or Razer Blade, plenty of gamers will be more bothered about the hardware inside their laptops rather than how they look on the outside. If you fall into the latter camp, the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI is absolutely worth a look. It has ample amounts of power on tap, a GPU that’s well matched to the resolution of that gorgeous OLED screen, and enough ports to replace your desktop tower – yet is still just about portable enough to take travelling. Loud fans and merely OK battery life mean it isn’t fully multi-purpose, but it gets very close. Considering how much it undercuts its rivals, those are compromises you could happily live with. It’s a whole lot of gaming laptop for your money, with a stunner of a screen (if you pick the right spec). The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI doesn’t wow like some pricier rivals on the design front, though.

Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.

Ultra 9 275HX: Unité centrale mobile haut de gamme pour les ordinateurs portables de jeu, basée sur l'architecture Arrow Lake. Il offre 24 cœurs, dont 8 cœurs de performance rapide pouvant atteindre 5,4 GHz et 16 cœurs d'efficacité plus petits pouvant atteindre une vitesse d'horloge de 4,6 GHz. Le CPU peut accéder à 40 Mo de cache L2 et 36 Mo de cache L3 et est spécifié avec un TDP de 55 watts. Le SoC intègre un petit NPU dédié appelé AI Boost avec 13 TOPS (Int8) et supporte en option vPro Essentials.
