ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is a stylish and easy-to-use laptop built on a fast processor from Intel 13th generation, which at the same time can run on battery during the working day. The model is suitable for those users who are looking for a more powerful solution for everyday work, but do not want to lose mobility. However, the version with integrated graphics is less interesting compared to the configuration in which there is a discrete GeForce RTX 3050 video card. Considering the already rather high cost of the model, it makes sense to look at the older version, which is more balanced in terms of specifications.

That affordable pricing is one of the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED’s impressive attributes. It doesn’t just undercut rivals at the checkout: it outpaces them thanks to the Core i7 processor and has a better display than most, too. The sleek looks from the beige model combine with a comfortable keyboard and decent connectivity to create a laptop with the power and ability to handle most everyday tasks. Battery life is the 14X’s biggest weakness, and we’d advise a MacBook if you need all-day longevity – and the 14in model if you need even more speed. For most situations, though, the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED ticks the right boxes. It’s a classy, impressive and affordable all-rounder.

Overall, this laptop is a mixed bag. It has a lot of power under the hood, but it comes with limitations, such as the lack of upgrade options and the high noise levels when the fan speeds increase. The battery life is decent, but it’s directly related to the screen brightness and what’s being viewed. The port placement is also inconvenient, but the inclusion of Windows Hello is a nice touch. The price is quite steep, but that’s to be expected from a laptop with such powerful specifications. It’s ultimately up to the user to decide whether the price is worth the performance.

And finally, the price. This laptop is priced at a whopping RM5,999 for this exact configuration and I think that it is indeed expensive. There is another Core i5-13500H version that has the same 16GB RAM but half the storage, is priced at RM4,999 only – which I think is a more reasonable price but doesn’t have the ceramic-like finish. But, if you want to be a little more baller – then you can spend RM6,999 for the Core i9-13900H version too. You’ll get a lot more CPU power on paper, but I think it’ll probably thermal throttle very quickly. I do think that if you’re doing MATLAB or similar types of simulation, having a Core i9 will be a big boon for you.

It has its ups and downs but for the best experience possible in the long run, don’t skimp out on the RAM and get the one with touchscreen support. If you can stomach its asking price of RM5,999, I’m sure it will serve you well.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU:

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

i7-13700H: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent l'hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 20 threads. L'horloge du processeur peut atteindre 5 GHz. Par rapport à l'i9-13900HK, il n'y a pas d'overclocking facile, mais un ensemble complet de fonctions de gestion vPro.
