As a result, this laptop performs better than the other RTX 2080 Max-Q 15-inch gaming ultraportables on the market and keeps the components at slightly lower temperatures, but unless you keep it plugged in and on a desk, you'll struggle with its ergonomics, shallow keyboard, and rather short battery life. Down below we'll explain how we reached this conclusion.

EN→FR Archive.org versionAll in all, I expect the 2019 Zephyrus GX701 to turn some heads and attract quite a few potential buyers if the final products actually deliver at the performance, thermals and noise levels. This is not going to be a cheap-laptop by any means, but ultraportable gaming laptops have never been cheap, and those with a 17-inch screen squeezed inside a compact shell are even harder to come by and there’s no wonder will demand a premium. In fact, there’s only the MSI GS75 Stealth Thin you could consider instead, for the time being. The 15-inch GX531 on the other hand pales in the more competitive niche of 15-inch ultraportables, and its multiple quirks and lacks compared to the 17-inch variant sure don’t help its cause.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q:
Carte graphique pour PC portables haut de gamme, basée sur la puce TU104, avec 2 944 nuanceurs et 8 Go de VRAM GDDR6. Sa fréquence est en baisse par rapport à la RTX 2080 classique pour portables, afin d'avoir une consommation significativement inférieure.
Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.

Processeur basé sur l'architecture Coffee Lake, pour les portables gros et lourds. Intègre six cœurs cadencés entre 2,2 et 4,1 GHz (4 GHz avec 4 cœurs, 3,9 GHz avec 6 cœurs), qui supportent l'hyper-threading. Fabriqué en 14 nm amélioré (14 nm++).
