It’s a sturdy machine with a great keyboard and a gorgeous display, but a laptop costing north of $1,500 shouldn't be saddled with weak battery life, subpar trackpad, and everyday graphics issues with its 4K display. I can’t shake the feeling that a lower-resolution panel might have solved a lot of the Inspiron 15 7000 Black Edition’s problems, even if it weakened the laptop’s marketing pitch.

NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Le successeur de la MX150, toujours basée sur la même puce Pascal GP108 (similaire à la GT 1030 pour PC de bureau), mais avec des fréquences plus élevées. Disponible en deux versions, une version normale à 25W et une version basse consommation avec une enveloppe thermique de 10 W et des performances réduites. La version 25 W offre par exemple un gain de boost de 21 % par rapport à l'ancienne MX150, conduisant à un gain de performances de 5 %.
Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Processeur quadricur Whiskey Lake basse consommatoin (techniquement identique aux processeur Kaby Lake mais gravé grâce à un procédé 14 nm++ amélioré). Les quatre curs sont cadencés entre 1,8 et 4,6 GHz (Turbo Boost) et prennent en charge l'HyperThreading.
