With workstation-grade components, the HP ZBook x2 packs more power than most detachable-hybrid 2-in-1 laptops. It's a good fit for for artists, 4K videographers, and anyone who needs massive power in a versatile form factor.

As for the internals, while it uses eighth-gen Intel Core chips, those are still based on a tweaked version of last year's Kaby Lake architecture and the integrated graphics are just rebranded from last year's. That's unavoidable; Intel still hasn't shipped Coffee Lake-based mobile CPUs. But given how much the high-end configuration will probably cost, I'd be tempted to wait and at least get a sense of how much of an improvement the desktop Coffee Lake processors deliver. More cores for a workstation are more important than in a consumer laptop.

There is no doubt in my mind, the HP ZBook X2 G4 is the best detachable PC for creators and artists. It has the power and features under the hood to satisfy the work needs of photographers, designers, videographers, and artists. I wouldn’t recommend this device for the average consumer just looking to do basic work or even basic Adobe work. This is a power users device and it’s a stellar one at that.

HP:

Fondée en 1939, la société américaine est un important fabricant de serveurs et d'imprimantes et l'une des principales sociétés informatiques au monde. Jusqu'en 2015, la société s'appelait Hewlett-Packard Company. Après une scission, la division informatique a été renommée HP Inc.

En 2023, HP détenait une part de marché approximative de 22 % des ventes mondiales de PC, ce qui en faisait le numéro 2 après Lenovo.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
