Huami Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatch prices for global market allegedly leaked

It appears the Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2 wearables, which were released by Huami in China back in September, will be coming to global markets after all. Although that’s hardly a great surprise, considering the first-generation GTR and GTS smartwatches can be purchased outside of Huami’s domestic market, the supposed prices for the second-generation variants are a bit of a surprise: €179.90 (US$213/£164). If the leak is genuine then a global launch for the GTR 2 and GTS 2 could be expected soon.

We reported about the respective launches for the Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2, which included their prices in China. The smartwatch with the square face and 246-mAh battery, the GTS 2, is priced at 999 yuan (€127/US$150) in China. The GTR 2, which has a circular visage and a much larger 471-mAh battery, comes in two variants that cost 999 yuan (sports model; €127/US$150) and 1,099 yuan (classic edition; €139, US$165) respectively.

Of course, the leak source (via XiaomiToday), might have just posted price placeholders for the Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2 that haven’t officially come from Huami. Considering both wearables, which are aesthetically pleasing in design, offer a lot to the potential buyer such as the already mentioned utilities along with 12 activity modes, a host of watch face customizations, and sleep quality monitoring, then a price similar to this supposed leak could be expected - especially when you factor in market pricing variations and regional tax differences.
