If you crave the combination of a 14-inch display and an ultra-thin, ultra-light laptop, the LG is worth a look, though we'd urge you to go the brick-and-mortar route and try it in a store before you buy. Alternatively, we suggest you check out the even lighter 12-inch MacBook or a slightly heavier 13.3-inch model like the MacBook Air or Dell XPS 13.

On paper, the LG Gram should be an excellent laptop. The $1,400 model we reviewed is extremely light, offers a fast Core i7 CPU and a beautiful display you'll never get tired of looking at. However, the woefully short battery life is a deal-breaker and the construction doesn't feel as solid as that of competing ultraportables.

A laptop is probably the most difficult consumer electronics device any company can build. Not only because it packs incredibly powerful hardware into a small form factor, but also because profit margins are razor-thin. The trend has been for companies to exit the market, rather than enter it, so LG’s effort is surprising.

Intel HD Graphics 5500:

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
