If consistency is the name of the game when it comes to ThinkPads, then the X1 Carbon is perhaps the perfect ThinkPad. It’s rugged, yet light; fast, yet efficient; modern, yet familiar. It is Lenovo playing to all of the strengths of the ThinkPad, without really branching much beyond that. I wouldn’t recommend it for the average consumer, student, creative professional, or road warrior; it’s too expensive, there are too many configurations, and the battery life just isn’t good enough for those needs. But for someone that only cares about using it for productivity work, and perhaps has an employer footing the bill, it’s hard to think of a better computer for the job.

While the ThinkPad Carbon X1 isn't a huge evolution over last year's model, Lenovo packed in enough upgrades to keep the line in step with modern ultraportables. Unfortunately, you'll have to go beyond the entry-level model to see the best new features, like the HDR display. Perhaps next year we'll see a major design leap for the Carbon line -- but, knowing the rabid ThinkPad fans out there, Lenovo will have to tread carefully. Bold new ideas are what the X1 Yoga and Tablet models are for. The Carbon, meanwhile, remains the most refined business laptop around.

It is of course disappointing that this ThinkPad X1 Carbon isn’t fitted with this new chip, but it is very likely that Lenovo was already in advanced levels of development and optimisation when the Intel with Radeon Graphics was ready for production. It does not, however, take away the fact that this year’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon is arguably still the best premium Ultrabook in the market. It’s hard to find any fault with Lenovo’s latest entry into the X1 Carbon line, especially if you’re looking for a moderately powerful business machine with good battery life. One of its drawbacks, its high price, will likely be erased if an IT department budget is footing the bill, rather than a consumer. Options like WWAN capabilities, a higher-resolution screen, and a faster processor will naturally elevate the price. It receives our PCWorld Editors’ Choice award as a thin-and-light laptop that deserves to be on your desk.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" de la légende anglaise, novo (latin) pour nouveau) a été fondée en 1984 en tant que société chinoise de commerce d'ordinateurs. En 2004, la société était le plus grand fabricant d'ordinateurs portables en Chine et, après l'acquisition de la division PC d'IBM en 2005, le quatrième au monde. En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.

En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.

En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
