Machine de jeu d'entrée de gamme. S'il est certain que le Lenovo Y40 n'est clairement pas le choix le plus judicieux pour les joueurs enthousiastes, il n'en reste pas moins qu'avec un châssis fin de 14 pouces, un processeur i7 de génération Haswell, une carte graphique dédiée Radeon et 256 Go sous la forme d'un SSD, le dernier des Lenovo a beaucoup à offrir pour 850 dollars (prix conseillé aux États-Unis). Et ce malgré un écran perfectible.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y40 is a shining example of how to provide value. This 14” gaming notebook excels in most areas even without taking into account its price. Its noteworthy highlights include a 1080p anti-glare display, attractive design, solid construction, good keyboard and clickpad, and usable performance for most of today’s games. It has a class leading six-plus hour battery life and even great speakers. We wish the display was more colorful and had better viewing angles, but found little else to criticize.

The Y40 might be the crowning victor among multimedia laptops, but Lenovo is pushing this as a gaming laptop, which simply won't do. If you buy this laptop to play the latest games, you will be frustrated and disappointed with its poor performance. The Y40 is too pricey to fully recommend as a budget multimedia machine, and simply isn't punchy enough to be a sufficient mobile gaming rig.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
