90% Test Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, l’excellent rapport qualité-prix

80% Nothing Once Again Redefines Budget Smartphones With the Phone (3a) Pro
Source: How to Geek Anglais EN→FR
If you can pick the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro up for its $459 retail price, or less in a sale, you're onto a winner. Its 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen is excellent, and its battery life will keep you going all day and more. While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 isn't the most powerful chip, for this price, you're getting a fantastic smartphone that will handle almost everything you throw at it. Add the fantastic cameras, and Nothing has crafted yet another excellent smartphone that could be 2025's best budget smartphone. The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro stands out with a vibrant 6.77-inch AMOLED display, strong all-day battery life, and a surprisingly capable triple-camera setup—including a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

Lastly, the price. The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is priced at PHP27,990 for the 12GB+256GB configuration. Overall, the Phone (3a) Pro delivers solid upgrades over its predecessor. It also looks more premium and has a more durable build quality. However, considering its price, they could have opted for a bigger battery or even a higher durability rating. Despite that, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pr offers a good balance of innovation and performance.

100% Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro review: Two’s a crowd
Source: Expert Reviews Anglais EN→FR
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro really needed more to better differentiate it from its sibling a faster processor, LTPO display, 4K/60fps video and wireless charging all come to mind as options. The periscope telephoto camera is excellent but it isnt enough to justify the extra cost. If you really want it, Id wait until the Phone (3a) Pro is discounted below £400. The Phone (3a), however, is an absolute delight. It packs a solid telephoto camera of its own, which is near-enough unheard of for phones this cheap, and makes improvements in just about every way that matters, with a brighter display, faster performance and better battery life. Id love to see Nothing matching the software support of Samsung and Google in the future but even still, the Phone (3a) is easily the brands best handset to date.

So to wrap up this review, I think the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is a stylish, well-balanced phone with a clean software experience, solid camera performance, and a unique design that stands out. I’m definitely not saying that it’s picture perfect — because the choice of chipset and its ultrawide camera could have been better — but for the price, it delivers a lot. And if you want something different from the usual crowd and don’t mind skipping on some raw power, the Phone (3a) Pro is definitely worth a look.

70% Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro review: A big nothing-burger
Source: Hardware Zone Anglais EN→FR
At this point, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro seem to be an omen that indicates Nothing might be looking to raise prices across the board with minor upgrades to make it a more “premium” brand. We hope we're wrong and that Nothing continues making great phones at reasonable prices in the foreseeable future. To raise prices so dramatically, we think it would take an impressive R&D division to elevate their originality beyond their edgy counterculture aesthetic into something branded and unique. We’ll certainly be watching the upcoming flagship Nothing Phone (3) to see how Nothing plans to move the brand forward.

Nothing's latest phone might be my favorite midrange Android in 2025
Source: Zdnet.com Anglais EN→FR
That's to say, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro checks a lot of boxes, more than any phone in its price range, but its most unique features, from the polarizing design to the Essential key, make it just as compelling for tech enthusiasts using flagship phones. Over the course of testing, I even witnessed several iPhone users contemplating switching to the Phone 3a Pro, whether it was for the digital well-being that the Glyph lights promote or the fashionable user interface. There is one catch with the Phone 3a Pro and Nothing phones in general: the US Beta Program, a sign-up-to-buy procedure that's only accessible through Nothing's web store. (You could reason that this is one way the company is cutting costs with its US phones.)

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro Review – Nothing's first phone with a periscope telephoto camera
Source: Tech Nave Anglais EN→FR
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro offers a great experience for most users, especially with the NothingOS. The UI is close to stock Android but retains a unique feel, making it great for people who want something different. In addition, the phone's appearance also stands out compared to other mid-range phones, without feeling as over the top as some gaming phones. The camera also offers a complete photography experience, where you can zoom in closer and still get beautiful image quality. For software, the Essential Space function is still in its early stages, but it's an interesting way to use AI. The company has confirmed that more Essential Space functions will be added in future updates, so we're looking forward to what else Nothing will do with the system.

Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro Smartphones Review

The Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro smartphones are two fantastic mid-range phones. They are uniquely designed and equipped with all the hardware components that a mid-range phone must have. The displays are also fantastic with an excellent viewing experience. The chipsets inside the two phones is also quite fast for everyday tasks. You can even run graphically demanding games smoothly. The camera performance of the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro are exceptional for this price range and will certainly impress you. The periscopic telephoto camera of Nothing Phone 3a Pro is exceptionally good. The same excellence is also seen in the battery and charging side of things. The pricing of the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro is also fantastic, and we can easily recommend them.

Source: Tech PP Anglais EN→FR
We are going to keep it simple: the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is really for those who want very good cameras on their phones for around Rs 30,000. Take cameras out of the equation, and the Phone (3a) Pro can be matched by similar or lower-priced competitors in spec terms, and indeed even its own Phone (3a) sibling, which comes with broadly similar specs and design (barring the massive camera bump). Bring its cameras to the competition table, and the Phone (3a) Pro moves into a different, almost elite zone. For all their inconsistencies and occasional shortcomings, the Phone (3a) Pro’s cameras are unmatched in terms of photographic potential at this price point.

90% Comparing the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro reveals three big differences
Source: Tech Advisor Anglais EN→FR
For most people, the Phone (3a) is the better deal and we think it’s the better phone overall with all things considered. It looks great, performs well, and has a solid camera setup without the extra bulk and cost of the Pro. Unless you specifically want the better telephoto camera or higher-res selfie camera, there’s little reason to spend more on the Pro, especially with its massive and somewhat ugly camera bump.

80% If the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro fixed this one thing I would tell everyone to buy them
Source: Android Authority Anglais EN→FR
As I said from the start, I really like both the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either one for its mix of battery life, flexible cameras, and near-stock Android skin. Nothing’s transparent design continues to win me over, too, even if there’s not much purpose behind the style. I’d even tell a prospective buyer to give either the Phone 3a or 3a Pro a try just for the convenience of the Essential Space — and I’d actually have to do so since the reliance on the hardware button means that the feature isn’t backwards compatible. I’d sway most people to the $379 Nothing Phone 3a over the $459 Phone 3a Pro simply due to the price difference helping alleviate some of the minor gripes like a limited IP rating and software policy, plus the latter’s beefy camera bump.

80% Nothing Phone (3a) Review: a Cool Phone for People Who Want to Save Money
Source: Gizmodo Anglais EN→FR
The Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro are a good deal if you’re not looking for the most powerful smartphone in the world. The Phone (3a) starts at $380, and the Phone (3a) Pro starts at $460. Both devices come with 256GB of storage. You’re after something different if you’re even reading this and these are the phones for you. Not because of the capabilities of its insides, but because you’re bored with the status quo. Nothing is one of the few companies still holding out for some semblance of the Android platform past, when it was about nerding out over the device in hand. The Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro might also be a welcome respite from how Google and Samsung have joined forces to pursue Gemini AI. There is no Gemini forced onto these phones, though Nothing appears to be toying with some idea of integrated artificial intelligence. At the very least, this latest generation of see-through smartphones isn’t asking you to make giant sacrifices in pursuit of something else.

Even though the base Phone (3a) misses out on its Pro-branded sibling's more accomplished camera, it still takes good photos and otherwise serves up Nothing's unique high-quality smartphone experience at a compelling price. The headline upgrade – Essential Space – is a smart example of AI integration in theory, but in practice it needs a fair bit of refinement to be truly 'essential'. Nonetheless, the Nothing Phone (3a) is a standout entry in its class.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is a creatively designed phone that checks a lot of boxes. It has a slick look, long battery life, and improved cameras at a competitive price. Unfortunately, its lack of full US 5G support limits its appeal, and its performance is fine but not class-leading. The Google Pixel 8a is a better value thanks to its stronger connectivity and Google’s extended support, which is why it remains our Editors' Choice. If you can wait, the Pixel 9a looks to be even better, though it doesn't go on sale until April.

The Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro offer tremendous value for $379 and $459. It's really hard to criticize Nothing for any of the component choices, and if you're willing to take a risk on the company's limited US warranty and want something unique, these are the phones to buy. For everyone else, it's safer to buy something like the Pixel 9a or Galaxy S24 FE directly from your carrier. You won't have to worry about calling your carrier about your phone, and you'll get a longer one-year warranty. Additionally, both Google and Samsung offer up to seven years of software support with their latest devices.

Nothing Phone (3a) vs Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: what's the difference?

At the end of the day, those are mostly the same phone. Same hardware and screens, same experience with the software and Essential Space. The Pro has a slightly better camera and — in my opinion — a more attractive design on the back. But yes, that is highly subjective. So, it boils down to this — if you think that a slightly better camera is worth $80, then just get the Pro. Otherwise, you will be perfectly fine with the regular Nothing Phone (3a), and you will save some cash on top!

For just S$100 more than the Nothing Phone 3a, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro basically packs a much better camera with 3x optical zoom, a huge circular camera module on the back, and a 50MP front camera. Otherwise, everything else is the same, from its Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, same display, battery, etc. But let's talk about the design first. Unlike previous Nothing Phones with their more discreet camera designs, the Phone 3a Pro features a huge bump that's similar to the Honor phones. It's not ugly, and the central location does keep the phone balanced when placed on the table.

Sure, it's pricier than the earlier (2a) or its less well-endowed (3a) sibling – yet with a price that undercuts Samsung's Galaxy A56 and Apple's iPhone 16e by far, it offers great value. The Pro feels like a more grown-up package than previous – while offering those fun yet functional Glyph lights and software quirks. It's not perfect, mind, as the new Essential Key is poorly positioned, the camera enclosure is inevitably large, and the performance, while solid at this level, isn't seamless.

78% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: Second fiddle
Source: Tech Advisor Anglais EN→FR
As good as the Phone (3a) Pro is, probably not. The existence of Nothing’s own Phone (3a) makes this more expensive phone a tough sell. The only fundamental differences between the two concern the cameras, with the Pro getting a better telephoto lens, improved selfies and 4K video recording. In exchange, you’ll have to put up with a hefty camera bump. If you really care about photography at this price, the Pixel 9a will probably be a better bet. And if you want the best phone that Nothing makes, we’re expecting a more premium Phone (3) later this year. That puts the Phone (3a) Pro in an awkward middle ground, where it’s one of the best phones that I can’t recommend.

100% Nothing Phone 3a Pro review: funky mid-ranger with real zoom camera
Source: The Guardian Anglais EN→FR
Nothing hits the right notes with the Phone 3a Pro to make it one of the best mid-range phones you can buy. Very few rivals have a real zoom camera at this price, let alone one as good as on the back of the 3a Pro. It has a big, crisp and smooth display, solid mid-range performance and very long battery life. A standout design adds interest to the otherwise dull phone market, while good software with up to six years of support means it will go the distance. Nothing’s AI-powered screenshot and note-taking app shows potential, even if it is a bit basic at the moment. But giving it a dedicated button that can’t be used for anything else feels like a miss. I would rather choose which app or function to bind to the button. The mid-range smartphone market is rapidly becoming packed with very good options, but Nothing manages to stand out and is worth considering when your old phone gives up the ghost.

75% Review: I want to love the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, but common sense gets in the way
Source: Android Police Anglais EN→FR
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend a phone I enjoy as much as the Phone 3a Pro. In the US, we are desperate for high-quality Android smartphone competition, and it's disheartening to see an oasis off in the distance only to realize it's a mirage. The Phone 3a Pro has the specs, performance, design, and price to be a runaway winner in our markets, but Nothing needs to show commitment before I can return the favor and label it one of our favorite Android phones. I like the Phone 3a Pro, but unless you’re an overseas buyer, there’s no reason to risk it. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro has all the qualities of an excellent midrange phone in 2025, but it is hard to recommend to US buyers.

Despite its ever-expanding portfolio of devices, Nothing is still a relatively small operation. It is hard to say where its future lies, but the focus seems to be shifting more and more back to midrange and value-driven devices. Granted, we are yet to see what the upcoming proper Phone (3) will offer, but we have our hopes set high for that one if the Nothing phone (3a) Pro is anything to go by. While not a powerhouse in any capacity, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is unquestionably a very well-rounded device. We found a lot to like about the phone and very few faults, if any. Sure, you can probably get better value for money in this price bracket, but nothing quite as unique as the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. You have to admire Nothing's consistency and dedication to the overall design and UX, and we are glad to see it's not going anywhere.

Compared to Nothing’s past offerings, the camera system on the Phone 3A and 3A Pro is a significant improvement—it’s a night-and-day difference. The ultrawide and main cameras produce impressive photos with excellent detail and quality. Images turned out remarkably well in good lighting conditions, even with challenging subjects like trees and grass. What surprised me most was the camera’s performance as the light diminished—typically, mobile phone cameras struggle with noise and loss of detail. However, the Phone 3A Pro held its ground.

I like almost everything about the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. I wish it had a faster chipset. But apart from that, I think it is a perfect phone. More significantly, it is a phone with style and cool factor. At a time when all phones look similar to each other, that counts for something I believe. In other words, if you are looking to get a Rs 30,000 phone, I think you can’t go wrong with the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. It is a capable and versatile phone that is bound to delight you, and more so if you like its tech-minimalistic aesthetics.

So far, we love how the two new phones look and perform. Priced at RM1699 and RM1999, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro offer great value for people who want a solid mid-range device that works. It doesn't have some of the fancy features available on flagship phones, such as wireless charging. However, we think they offer good value considering their asking prices.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro stands out for its excellent value, offering impressive features at its price point. The camera system, particularly the inclusion of a telephoto lens, is a rare find at this price, providing users with more versatility than the competition. I wish it went that extra step further with things like wireless charging, but hopefully, the Phone (4a) Pro will. In fact, for under $500, this is arguably the best phone available, especially for those who value a unique design, a capable camera setup, and a clean software experience. Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro review: Nothing is Essential
Source: Android Central Anglais EN→FR
Nothing is back with a brilliant pair of budget-minded phones, but it's not as big a win for the company this year as it was last year. Competitors like Poco and Honor have improved admirably in this space, and Nothing's choice of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 means gaming performance, in particular, is much worse than last year's phone. But there's something to be said about Nothing's style and impressive software. The company is second only to Google in its software update cadence, offering tons of new features for its phones every few months. I really like what Nothing OS has become in a few short years and love seeing it morph into something that looks and feels truly unique.

Smartphone manufacturers sometimes resort to gimmicks and outlandish designs just to catch attention. More often than not, however, they’re just superficial makeup to cover the flaws that lie deep within. With its Glyph lights and its new camera design, you might think that the Nothing Phone (3a) is one of those. This is one such instance where you’re invited to look a little deeper and not judge a book by its cover. It almost has it all: a memorable design, solid performance across the board, and a juicy price tag. It’s far from perfect, nor will it ever rub shoulders with the upper echelons of the smartphone market.

80% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: giving competitors a run for their money
Source: 91mobiles Anglais EN→FR
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro delivers meaningful upgrades over its predecessor and strong value in its segment. Priced starting at Rs 29,999, it justifies its premium over the Phone (2a) Plus with a more durable design, enhanced performance, and improved cameras. However, while the battery life is decent, a larger capacity would have improved its standing against competitors. The 50MP periscope lens, though a welcome addition, falls short of the telephoto capabilities of the Realme 14 Pro+ (review) and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (review). That said, the Phone (3a) Pro excels in daylight, selfie, and low-light photography, marking a significant improvement. It also offers a clean, bloat-free Android experience and a vibrant AMOLED display, though the lack of HDR support is disappointing.

80% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: a flagship trio of cameras, but without the flagship price

In the highly competitive and over saturated world of mid-level phones, it is hard to stand out. Luckily the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro does exactly that with its unique design freshesing and looking like nothing else out there – although won't be for everyone. The phone also sets itself apart with a triple camera system complete with a periscope telephoto lens which is pretty much unheard of at this price – which brings me to the all-round terrific value of the Phone (3a) Pro with decent processing, long-lasting battery, and a great screen. Unfortunately, the cameras are a little underwhelming, with some processing inconsistencies letting down the overall quality, but the versatility for this price can't be overlooked.

Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro hands-on review: This town ain’t big enough for the both of us
Source: Expert Reviews Anglais EN→FR
My initial feeling about these handsets is that they could have just been one phone. There aren’t many significant differences between them and while I have high hopes for the (3a) Pro’s periscope telephoto camera, I don’t think it will be impressive enough to justify the extra £70 to £120 in price. That’s a question to be settled when I come to the full reviews, however. For now, it’s clear that the Phone (3a) series makes several exciting improvements to last year’s models. The displays are bigger and brighter, both models get a new telephoto camera and the simplified approach to AI looks genuinely useful. I’ll have a lot more to say on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro in the coming weeks – including which of them I feel is most worth your time – but for now, I feel confident that Nothing has at least one more bargain mid-range phone on its hands.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro also sports a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 6x in-sensor zoom. In-sensor zoom uses image crop to provide a closer look at the subject without losing image quality. The 6x zoomed photos look good and offer a similar image quality to the other cameras on the device. Honestly, the Nothing Phone (3a) series cameras take good shots, and I’d even be happy if the Nothing Phone (3) had similar shooters. Except, I hope it doesn’t have that same ugly camera module and looks more similar to the Nothing Phone (2) or the Nothing Phone (3a.) I like the Nothing Phone (3a) series.

Nothing Phone (3A) Pro Review: Just Keeps Getting Better
Source: Slashgear Anglais EN→FR
The big caveat here is that like previous generations of the Nothing phone, the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are not optimized for the U.S. market. T-Mobile even threw an error at me indicating that the phone wasn't totally compatible with its network. Despite that, I had no trouble with any phone calls or data while using the phone in the suburbs of Chicago. However, that also means there's a small hoop to jump through in order to buy the phone — you need to enroll in Nothing's Beta program to qualify. It's not hard and it's free, but it's still an extra step. The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro will be available to purchase in the U.S. in only the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage configuration in the grey and black colorways. The phone will cost $459.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is an interesting phone. It has a very bold look, it's quirky and undisputedly unique. Its performance is OK, it's fine. It's no 4K video-editing monster, or 8K camcorder, nor a heavy gaming smartphone. But as a phone, a regular daily driver that keeps you online and keeps you going, it's pretty solid. Actually kind of fun, with small but meaningful Nothing modifications. For the bad part — its camera is not great. And yeah, you can't really judge a $460 phone's camera too hard, and we are not saying this one's terrible. It's just... not great. There's the Pixel 8a, only $40 more, with the better camera and more updates directly from Google. Not to mention, a newer Pixel 9a should be announced any moment now.

It’s a little ironic that a phone with flashing lights and see-through styling doesn’t do enough to stand out from its baby brother. If you rarely reach for the zoom button, I can’t see why you’d skip the standard Phone 3a for this: it’s on par everywhere else, has less divisive looks, and costs a whole lot less. There’s no denying you’re getting the superior telephoto snapper here, though. Add in the very capable lead lens and the Phone 3a Pro can compete comfortably with the upper echelons of mid-range cameraphones. Personally, that makes it the one I’d pick of the pair. Performance and battery life are also what you’d expect for the cash, while Nothing’s spin on Android remains a joy to use – even if the Essential Space doesn’t truly feel essential just yet.

Nothing has made some thoughtful and innovative additions since last year’s Nothing Phone (2a). In particular, the provision of a dedicated 3x periscope camera isn’t something we see too often south of £500. The aim was straightforward: to provide a one-of-a-kind design and interesting concept to play with, and it worked really well for them. After the odd Nothing Phone 2a Plus release, Nothing is straight back to the top of its game with the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. I used it as my main smartphone the week leading up to MWC 2025, and also while I’ve been in Barcelona for the show, and it hasn’t put a foot wrong. It has been reliable to use and taken some great photos, but most of all it has been fun. The Phone 3a Pro is one of the few smartphones to put a smile on my face, whether it’s through the out-there design, the silly sound effects, the flash of the Glyph Lights, the pedometer widget, or the really cool black and white filter for the camera. Even the filter switcher in the camera app looks unique, and I adore Nothing’s attention to detail throughout the software and the phone’s design. It separates it from other phones at a similar price. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro is superb, and I wholeheartedly recommend you buy it.

Source: GSM Arena Anglais EN→FR
The new Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro don't stray too much from the established Nothing formula, yet they remain quite uniquely positioned on the market, even based on looks alone. Adding a third telephoto camera in this generation is a nice touch. The Pro is clearly the way to go if the telephoto is a big priority for you, but for many, the 2x on the vanilla will suffice just fine. As for the rest of the devices, there is pretty much perfect convergence. Both use the same display, which we found to be excellent in person, and both rely on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which, while not a flagship chip, has plenty of performance to throw around. Though far from industry-leading, the three-year software support promise is also decent enough.

I've been testing Nothing's latest – Is the Phone (3a) Pro a Samsung-beating upgrade?
Source: T3 Anglais EN→FR
After initial stages of testing, I'm generally impressed by the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. It's a savvily positioned product, when you consider it has a massive periscope zoom camera – yet costs less than Samsung's Galaxy A56, far less than Apple's iPhone 16e, and when Google inevitably announces a Pixel 9a I suspect that will cost more too. It's not all roses, though, as the processor and software does show some signs of weakness – in beta there's no Google Wallet payments; there's also some minor stutters when loading some apps – and the price jump from the base Phone (3a) to the Pro is significant.

If you’re looking beyond Android’s mid-range usual suspects like the Pixel 8a, then the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro should certainly be on your short list. It’s not the most powerful option around, but you might not care if you’d make the most of that 3x optical zoom telephoto lens. It’s too early to really consider Essential Space all that essential or useful, but those rear Glyph notifications might really come in handy for some people.

Qualcomm Adreno 810:
