From a purely processor to pennies perspective, the Series 7 Gamer is worth the money. Its a gaming machine capable of playing the latest titles at respectable settings. With all its case lights and fancy UI, its a bit like a party guest who arrives overdressed. You're glad they showed up, but the bow tie they're wearing just makes them look silly.

We're thrilled that the Samsung comes with a whopping 1.5TB of storage, but are a bit disappointed that the company chose to include bloatware on the drive. Granted, it's limited to WildTangent games and trial versions of CyberLink Media Show 5 and Norton Internet Security and Online Backup, but most gaming notebooks eschew this sort of software.

Samsung's entry into the gaming specific world of mobile computing with the Series 7 Gamer certainly offers a premium experience with a corresponding $1900 price tag. Performance is excellent thanks to the core i7 processor, 16GB of memory and GeForce GTX 675M graphics. In addition to this, Samsung packs in lots of storage features with 1.5TB of storage space and a Blu-ray drive.

Good thing, then, that the Series 7 Gamer lives up to its handle. Despite our minor gripes, we can't deny its screaming performance.

Overall, the Samsung Series 7 Gamer lives up to its name. Its gorgeous display, adjustable power settings, terrific keyboard/touchpad combination, and WiDi feature all combine to make for a versatile system. And while its raw processing power ultimately falls somewhat short of the Alienware M18X, this fact is tempered considerably by its otherwise strong performance and, more importantly, its reasonable price tag.

With record-breaking speed, a superb display and excellent keyboard, the Samsung Series 7 Gamer is one of the best gaming laptops to hit our labs. Games ran smoothly even at their highest settings and videos and Web pages looked spectacular on the full HD display. And let's not forget the Gamer's impressive audio. The only drawback that prevents this notebook from being an Editors' Choice pick is the heat it generates. But if it's raw power and a gorgeous screen you're after, the Samsung Series 7 Gamer is a compelling choice.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M: Deux GeForce GTX 675M (GF114 Fermi) en mode SLI. A cause de la consommation maximum d'énergie de 2x 100 Watt sur les deux cartes MXM, la GTX675M SLI ne se trouvera que dans des portables imposants.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
