EN→FRPutting high-end gaming hardware into a thin, portable design will always demand some trade-offs. The fact that the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 runs hot, whooshes loud, and offers a mixed bag of performance and battery life is not surprising, just a bit disappointing. A lot of that is due to how well the Zephyrus line has traditionally navigated these challenges, but faced with competition from the likes of Alienware and Razer, the 16-inch Zephyrus merely holds its own. To be sure, there's still a lot to love about this machine, from the elegant chassis to the splendid OLED screen, but it's a capable gaming laptop that falls short of the elite. If you want a big-screen notebook that can play demanding games with buttery-smooth frame rates, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 is a worthy choice. But if you want the best, turn to either the more costly Razer Blade 16 or the more compact ROG Zephyrus G14, which does a better job of delivering gaming on the go.

EN→FRThe RTX 4080 in our evaluation unit supported boosting to about 115 watts (though the driver said 125 watts), with a typical power draw of 95 watts, and you get a substantial boost switching from the default (performance) to turbo mode -- around 10% to 20%, depending upon what you're doing. Turbo doesn't boost processor performance, though. The bottom can get really hot when it's plugged in, even in the default performance mode, a problem I find with all of the air-intake-on-the-bottom designs typical of these thin-but-relatively-powerful Core Ultra systems. It gets a little to hot to use on my lap while wearing shorts, and it seems to get really hot on the bottom when sitting on a big gaming mousepad; I suspect it doesn't sit up high enough for the airflow.

The ROG Zephyrus G16 was supposed to be the best 16" gaming laptop of 2024. That's what I had hoped because of the Zephyrus G16's battery life, claimed performance, size and weight. Especially when it comes to performance versus the Blade 16 from 2024. But this G16 review proves you can have all the specs in the world but still fail.

Carte graphique haut de gamme pour ordinateurs portables basée sur l'architecture Ada Lovelace. Offre 12 GB GDDR6 (192 Bit) et est configurable avec un TGP de 60 - 150W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.

Ultra 9 185H: Une puce Meteor Lake haut de gamme qui a fait ses débuts en décembre 2023. Ce processeur Core Ultra de 1ère génération est venu remplacer les puces Core de 13ème génération ; il dispose de 16 cœurs (6 + 8 + 2) et de 22 threads. Ses cœurs Performance, au nombre de 6, tournent jusqu'à 5,1 GHz tandis que ses cœurs Efficient, au nombre de 10 (8 cœurs principaux plus 2 supplémentaires trouvés dans l'îlot basse consommation) tournent jusqu'à 3,8 GHz. Le GPU Arc à 8 cœurs, tout juste sorti du four, sert d'adaptateur graphique intégré - il fonctionne à une fréquence maximale de 2,35 GHz - et une foule d'autres technologies inédites sont également proposées, comme le NPU AI Boost intégré avec deux moteurs Gen 3 pour l'accélération matérielle des charges de travail d'IA. La consommation d'énergie "de base" de ce processeur pour ordinateur portable est de 45 W, tandis que sa consommation d'énergie Turbo n'est pas censée dépasser 115 W.
