While it's pretty expensive, and by no means perfect, this is a great choice for business people of all kinds, particularly those who travel.

And if you can abide a slightly smaller screen, the 13-inch Elite Dragonfly is an even better choice as both a status symbol and a workhorse laptop for large corporations. Even though the Elite Dragonfly still uses Intel’s older processor generation, its performance doesn’t suffer compared with that of the Latitude 9410, and it still offers excellent battery life. It remains our Editors’ Choice for best high-end business 2-in-1 laptop.

The Dell Latitude 9410 2-in-1 is a great business PC, but here's the problem. I have a hard time saying why you should buy it instead of a ThinkPad X1 Yoga or Elite Dragonfly. Dell also sent me the Latitude 7310, and honestly, unless you want that phenomenal battery life, I really can't think of why you'd buy the 9000 series instead of the 7000 series.

If you need a long-lasting business notebook, the Latitude 9410 is an excellent candidate. However, lightweight competitors, like the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Elite Dragonfly, are a lot more portable, so road warriors and frequent fliers should consider those instead.

Lisa Gade reviews the Dell Latitude 9410 2-in-1 14” high end business convertible Ultrabook. The laptop runs Windows 10 on Intel 10th gen Comet Lake CPUs with optional vPro and it has a CNC aluminum casing with diamond cut edges. The PC has 360-degree convertible hinges and a Gorilla Glass 5 clad touch screen with Dell Pen (Wacom AES) support. Usually, we are harsher on devices that come at a premium price. Especially when their manufacturers are promising so much, that it seems unreal. Unfortunately, the Latitude 14 9420 (2-in-1) isn’t perfect. Well, nobody expected it to be, but the major caveat in our view is the lack of memory upgrades. On the bright side, you get three possible configurations – one with 8, 16, and 32GB of RAM, all working at dual-channel mode. However, if you pick the lowest one, you have to keep in mind that first – the integrated GPU is going to eat up 1/8th of your memory, and two – you won’t be able to expand it in the future.

As you can figure, this is an exceptional laptop meant for exceptional people. The cost is high, but the benefits you get from it are really big. All of the privacy, security, and ease-of-use features like the touchless log-in and sleep functions are simply fantastic to have. I mean, you don’t think you need these functions until you try them in real life. Yes, its memory is soldered to the motherboard, but at least the two available configurations are more than adequate. You can pick between 16 and 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, working at 5200MHz. On the other hand, the storage situation is a bit finicky. The laptop only supports 30mm drives, which are around 50 to 100% more expensive than conventional 80mm SSDs. Dell Latitude 14 9430’s IPS panel has a WUXGA resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio. Its colors are pretty vibrant with 96% of sRGB coverage (and 81% of DCI-P3). The backlight doesn’t use PWM, while the color accuracy is great with our Gaming and Web design profile. There is only one thing though – the pixel response time is a bit slow. Not only that but there is some ghosting visible in day-to-day use. On the bright side, the battery life on this thing is phenomenal. It got us through 15 hours and 30 minutes of Web browsing, or 12 hours and 30 minutes of video playback on a single charge. We still have to mention that we got the larger 59.6Wh package. The port selection is also awesome for a laptop of this size. It offers two Thunderbolt 4 connectors, a MicroSD card slot, an HDMI 2.0 connector, a Full-size USB slot, and an optional SIM card tray. There are two options here – the Snapdragon X20 (LTE), and the Snapdragon X55 (5G). How about performance? Well, it is fantastic for this type of device. Dell was right for its “CEO-level experience” claims. They were right, and the Latitude 14 9430 is worth every penny. It would be awesome if someone has a long-term observation about the device, and is willing to tell us more in the comments below.

Either way, this laptop starts at the price of RM10,449. The price is obviously very high – but it’s made for enterprises and for those who need security and the best support they can get because downtime means revenue is not generated. There are a bunch of customization that you can choose on Dell’s website, and one of them adds a 4G modem inside so you can pop in a SIM card and work anywhere. You can also add the duration of ProSupport and Next Business Day Onsite Service to the exact number of months you want. It caps off at 5 years, though. So that’s all we have to share with you about this laptop. It’s an interesting laptop for sure, but again – it’s a Latitude. It’s mostly for enterprises. Even though we can just order one from Dell.com, it comes with a lot of features that the average consumers don’t need.
