Overall, I am left feeling pretty conflicted and confused about the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. I've always admired the standard XPS 13 as a high bar for great PC notebooks, and I have become a fan of 360-degree hinges through the Lenovo Yoga series.

Dell’s XPS 13 notebook is easily one of the best 13-inch notebooks available now. It has a wonderful display, it is supremely compact and portable, and it offered decent performance and battery life. There is really very little not to like about the XPS 13.

The Dell XPS 13 was already excellent, and it’s a smart move from Dell to release this hybrid edition without compromising the design and functionality of the original vision. The XPS 13 2-in-1 is an ultrabook that will likely fit in to any home or work environment better than many other laptops out there. The thin bezels, excellent keyboard and thoughtful design are marred only by a high asking price.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is a laptop you'll enjoy using, but probably won't like to pay for (in the UK at least). It's very slim and light, avoiding using one of those annoyingly shallow keyboards, which makes day-to-day use ideal. Its 360-degree hinge design is far subtler than most too, in particular the bling watchband hinge of the Lenovo Yoga.

There’s a lot to like about this and I’m really impressed with the specs, performance and the looks of the XPS 13-inch 2 in 1. The review unit is the top of the line i7 with 16GB of RAM and the larger SSD so unsurprisingly there wasn’t any performance issues. For the average user though, the i5 with 8GB is going to fulfil your needs with grunt to spare and save you a significant chunk of coin in the process.

It's so close that I'm going to put it this way: I have a longstanding preference for light laptops. The lighter the better (as long as the functionality isn't compromised too much). In this respect, I favor the MacBook. As I said, there's a big difference between 2.7 pounds (XPS) and 2 pounds (MacBook). That said, the XPS' faster performance, touch display, 360-degree hinge, carbon fiber palm rest, fingerprint scanner, and MicroSD card reader may appeal more to certain consumers and businesses.

Using the XPS 13 2-in-1 as a tablet is a bit odd at first, though. The slate is pretty wide in portrait mode, which makes holding it feel a bit uncomfortable when you’re not resting it on your lap or a table. I did, however, like flipping the display over and using the keyboard as a stand to watch movies while making dinner.

Or, if you're considering the current 13-inch MacBook Air, Dell's standard XPS 13, now with Kaby Lake, eats it for lunch. That may be just our not completely humble opinion, but that's what we do here, offer opinions. It's refreshing to see Windows 10 device OEMs like Dell leading the charge and the XPS 13 2-In-1 is on point.

La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
