Le Huawei Pura 80 Pro est un appareil frustrant pour nous autres utilisateurs occidentaux. C’est l’un des smartphones les mieux finis et sans l’ombre d’un doute le plus performant en photo à date. Entre le design original, le superbe écran, la belle autonomie et le bloc photo impressionnant, Huawei montre qu’il est encore au sommet de son art. Les seuls points faibles de l’appareil ne sont pas imputables aux ingénieurs de la marque, mais bien aux restrictions dont elle souffre. La réalité logicielle (pas de Google) et les limitations matérielles (pas de 5G) sont des concessions énormes pour un produit aussi haut de gamme. Si vous vivez en dehors de l’écosystème Google, que la 5G vous importe peu, et que vous cherchez avant tout le meilleur photophone possible avec une batterie qui dure, le Pura 80 Pro est un bijou.

Having a bold, red phone with a giant camera sticking out of it reminds us of the Wild West days of the phone market before Apple standardised everything with the iPhone. While those older devices usually had gimmicks (albeit fun and sometimes useful gimmicks), the camera here really is worth it. HUAWEI has also pulled off another trick here by offering such a great camera that it will entice even those who refuse to leave the iOS and Android ecosystems. We can actually see some people picking up a Pura 80 Pro as a secondary device, as you’d be hard-pressed to get a camera that works this well for the RRP of R24 999, that is, you know, also a phone.

Qu’il est difficile de conclure quand on teste un smartphone Huawei depuis quelque années. En effet, d’un coté, on retrouve un smartphone premium qui impressionne sur bien des aspects et de l’autre côté, on se retrouve avec la frustration d’un appareil qui aurait pu être tellement plus avec les services mobiles Google et la 5G. Comme ce fut le cas avec ses prédécesseurs, les relations houleuses entre Huawei et le gouvernement Américain font qu’il est toujours difficile de vraiment se prononcer sur le Huawei Pura80 Ultra. Le manque des services mobiles Google reste bloquant pour de nombreuses personnes mais plus on avance, plus la vie sans les GAFAM s’avère être possible au final.

I have managed to use it as my primary handset for the past week, but getting it set up is far from trivial, and once you have, there are still daily annoyances.I really missed being able to use Google Wallet for payments, and I missed Circle to Search, which has become second nature to me after using so many phones that offer the feature. Not being able to select 4K or HDR in the YouTube app was a buzzkill, too.That’s a crying shame, as otherwise, this phone is brilliant. The screen is excellent, when you find an app that can take advantage of it, and the speakers are among the best, too.

That's a very tough question. The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is no doubt a very powerful camera phone, but it lags behind in almost every other area. The chipset is built on an old node, the screen is not the brightest out there, and the software support is almost nonexistent. The price is also steep at around 1,200 euros (around $1,400 after direct conversion), and the lack of Google Mobile Services adds salt to the already open wound. For that amount of money most people will probably buy a Galaxy S25 Ultra and be done with it. Which is a shame, really, because the camera system inside the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is a true masterpiece, from the big 1-inch sensor under the main camera lens to the innovative dual-periscope telephoto camera. Let's just hope that the Pura 80 Ultra will raise the bar and push other manufacturers to up their camera game.

Huawei:

Ses cartes graphiques ne sont pas faites pour le jeu. Et même si ils tournent, ce sera avec des erreurs d'affichage et un framerate ignoble. Ce cartes graphique sont totalement incompatible avec les joueurs! les applications de bureau et d'Internet, ne sont pas un problème pour ces cartes graphiques.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
