Critiques pour le/la Lenovo Ideapad Y700 17ISK 80Q0
Barebone gamer. Lenovo met les bouchés doubles sur le front du jeu avec la gamme Y700. Le successeur du Y70 lancé l'année dernière fait-il mieux ? Les lacunes ont-elles été comblées ?

EN→FR Archive.org versionThe Lenovo IdeaPad Y700-17 is an excellent entry-level gaming laptop with a big screen and fast hardware. It can play demanding games smoothly at moderate to high settings, and you get plenty of storage, good port options, and a killer sound system in the bargain.

EN→FR Archive.org versionLenovo achieves an excellent balance, making just the right sacrifices to hit a reasonable price point. These compromises, including the mushy keyboard, single piece trackpad, and mid-range GPU, will keep the hardcore gaming set away. For more mainstream users, the Y700 blows the doors off of other thin-and-light devices like the Surface Book in terms of functionality and price. A Core i7 Surface Book with a less powerful Nvidia GeForce GPU (940M equivalent) costs about three times as much as the Y700 we reviewed.

EN→FR Archive.org version"Budget" and "gaming laptop" are rarely said in the same sentence. Lenovo is one of the few companies to offer a relatively affordable true powerhouse gaming laptop in this price range. Some call them entry level gamers, but they're really more powerful than that since they can run most recent games at 1920 x 1080 in a mix of medium and high settings with good frame rates.

EN→FR Archive.org versionThe IdeaPad Y700 is an admirable improvement over the well-liked Y70. It has all the bells and whistles to deliver the great multimedia experience that you’d expect from a premium big-screened notebook. We were thoroughly impressed by the Y700’s 17.3-inch FHD display, which is exceptionally bright with excellent contrast. Twin JBL speakers and a subwoofer help complete the pleasant multimedia experience.

EN→FR Archive.org versionWith one of the best displays in this category, great speakers and an affordable price, the Y700 gives you more for your money. The downsides are below-average battery life, no option for a more powerful GPU, and a keyboard that could stand to be better for both typing and gaming.

EN→FR Archive.org versionThe Y700 offers the same sturdy, premium design with slight improvements around the edges, despite the ~200 g increase in weight and the slight thickness bump. They are hardly noticeable, so don’t worry about that. We are still giving it an A+ in the design department. Also, the palm rest area is now slightly bigger and the touchpad has received a small update, which now eliminates the so-called annoying wobbling effect. Much better than before, although the mouse clicks feel a bit stiff. Getting used to it just takes time.On the hardware front, things haven’t changed a lot. We still have the GTX 960M GPU on board, but this time paired with the newer Skylake Core i7-6700HQ CPU, DDR4-2133 RAM and a slightly bigger battery. Speaking of, the latter resulted in a huge battery life increase, but we suspect that the new power saving features of the Skylake CPU are mostly to blame. And finally, Lenovo has added an M.2 SATA SSD slot for extra storage space. A long-awaited upgrade, ever since the first Y50 came out.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M:
