It excels as a gaming laptop, a workstation and a productivity machine thanks to a powerful CPU/GPU combination, excellent display, and a high-quality keyboard. The long-running battery life puts every other laptop with gaming pretensions to shame. That Lenovo has managed to package all that in a machine that’s lighter than a 16in MacBook Pro, and barely any larger, is nothing short of miraculous.

They kind of neglected this niche of premium all-purpose thin-and-lights in recent years, and I’m happy that’s not the case anymore. From what we know so far, the 2022 Legion Slim 7 models are expected in stores around May-June this year, with prices starting at 1500-1600 USD in North America. The Intel + Nvidia models will demand a premium over the same-tier AMD configurations, but future discounts might level the field later in the year. Well, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i (16 Intel, Gen 8) is one of the biggest surprises of 2023. One of the main advantages of this machine is the mix of its dimensions and powerful hardware. The device weighs 2 kg and the profile thickness is 17.6-19.9 mm. This sounds great for a laptop with Raptor Lake-H processor options and NVIDIA Ada Lovelace video cards with hefty TGPs. Our notebook is the maxed-out configuration when it comes to CPU, GPU, and RAM. Ergo, Core i9-13900H, the 140W version of RTX 4070, and 32GB of RAM. The cooling solution is capable enough to handle the powerful internals while gaming, and you can also use the machine for photo and video rendering. The Core i9 can maintain a high P and E cores clock during prolonged periods of stress and the same goes for the GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 140W).

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is impressive as a thinner and smaller gaming laptop than its competitors so far. Though the colors are a little uninspired, the build quality, port selection, size and weight, and specs are all top-notch as we can see so far. The fact that you can adjust the panel for both power gaming and creative work just sweetens the deal. We’re already looking at a powerful gaming laptop with a much lighter form factor than most. And the deal could be even sweeter if it's going for a much more reasonable price point than the competition. It’s exactly the kind of option that gamers have been owed for quite some time now.

Le Lenovo Legion Slim 7i est un excellent ordinateur gaming qui devrait plaire à de nombreux utilisateurs. Son principal atout réside dans sa combinaison de portabilité et de performances. C’est tout simplement un ordinateur gaming que vous pouvez emporter partout sans aucun problème. J’ai également beaucoup apprécié la qualité de l’écran, qui convient parfaitement à toutes sortes de tâches, que ce soit des sessions de jeu intensives ou simplement regarder des séries et des films. De plus, la qualité du clavier est remarquable, et j’ai particulièrement aimé la présence du pavé numérique dédié. Bien sûr, tout n’est pas parfait. Pour obtenir une taille aussi fine pour un ordinateur gaming, il a fallu faire quelques compromis en termes de performances, et les ventilateurs se font entendre assez rapidement lors de charges intenses. De plus, la connectivité de l’ordinateur est seulement acceptable, et vous pourriez trouver des options meilleures ailleurs, même si la présence du Thunderbolt 4 est appréciable.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" de la légende anglaise, novo (latin) pour nouveau) a été fondée en 1984 en tant que société chinoise de commerce d'ordinateurs. En 2004, la société était le plus grand fabricant d'ordinateurs portables en Chine et, après l'acquisition de la division PC d'IBM en 2005, le quatrième au monde. En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.

En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.

En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.

Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.

Intel Raptor Lake-H:

i7-13700H: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent l'hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 20 threads. L'horloge du processeur peut atteindre 5 GHz. Par rapport à l'i9-13900HK, il n'y a pas d'overclocking facile, mais un ensemble complet de fonctions de gestion vPro.

i9-13900H: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent l'hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 20 threads.
