My tests involved my typical daily tasks, from writing and editing scores of text documents to compiling a multi-layered Excel spreadsheet to the aforementioned photo editing to everyday media consumption. My only performance complaint — the ThinkPad Z16 seemed to be a bit slow to start up from sleep.  Of course, I am too — maybe if I'd scraped a bit more of the packaging into my coffee I'd wake faster. Otherwise, the ThinkPad Z16 never faltered. I never found myself grasping for additional performance from the processor, the 16GB of RAM, or the SSD. My usual machine is powered by a current-generation Intel I9 processor — the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro found here is nominally a downgrade, but I'm wondering if I could have managed to spend a bit less and would have been just as happy. I'm sure those looking for a desktop replacement to do heavy video editing will be shopping the available AMD Ryzen 9 Pro at 4.9GHz, but for most users, this will be more than enough machine. As tested, this Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 is available through CDW for $2249 — but a wide variety of configurations can move that price around a bit. I'm genuinely impressed with the value here — this can be the only device needed for a number of users, as it has the specs and performance to do nearly any task you throw at it. That it is built responsibly and sustainability doesn't affect how it performs, either — perhaps it needs to be painted green, however, to properly shout to others that you're doing your part to save the planet while you work.

If Lenovo hadn't branded the lid with its specs and created a dedicated "Communications Bar" to house it, I might have shrugged at its mediocre performance. But, if you're going to make something a showpiece of a $2,000ish laptop, it had better be a highlight. It wasn't. If you want a do-it-all, desktop replacement notebook that will last just about all day, look no further. There are systems that perform just as well for hundreds of dollars less, but none that offer the same level of wow-inducing build quality or the attention to detail that's made Lenovo's ThinkPad line a favorite of business travelers for 30 years.

If you’re in the market for a new laptop that is both powerful and sustainable, Lenovo’s ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 are great options. With a sleek design, fast performance, and up to 32GB of RAM, these laptops can handle anything you throw at them. Plus, they’re made with recycled materials, so you can feel good about your purchase. The ThinkPad has been around for 30 years now, and it’s clear that it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. If you need a reliable machine that will last you for years to come, look no further than the ThinkPad Z13 or Z16. I enjoyed testing these units out and I’m sure that they’ll do well, no matter what challenge you have for them. Depending on the exact build, you can get the Z16 and the Z13 starting at around $1.500.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 had me at “15-hour battery life.” Its power-efficient AMD chip may be, in part, the reason for its impressive runtime performance. The ThinkPad Z16 also outpaced its other 16-inch rivals — the LG Gram 16 and the Acer Swift Edge 16 — in graphics and performance. From the great speakers and military-tested durability, to the biometric authentication and decent display, this laptop has it all (and more). However, I’m not a fan of that mushy keyboard, though I suspect that’s to ensure a quiet typing experience. I’m also not thrilled that the power button is on the edge of the laptop, but hey, you can’t always have your way, right? Overall, the ThinkPad Z16 is a top-notch business laptop that meets all of your security needs while lasting long on a charge. What’s not to love?

En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.

En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.

En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.

APU mobile octa-core utilisant des cœurs Zen 3+ cadencés de 3,3 à 4,9 GHz et une carte graphique RDNA2 avec 12 CU cadencées jusqu'à 2 400 MHz. Il s'agit d'une version professionnelle du R9 6900HX grand public, sans fonctions d'overclocking mais avec des fonctions de gestion supplémentaires et le processeur Microsoft Pluton Security.

R5 PRO 6650H:

APU mobile Hexa-Core utilisant six cœurs Zen 3+ cadencés de 3,3 à 4,5 GHz et une carte graphique RDNA2 avec 6 CU cadencées jusqu'à 1 900 MHz. Il s'agit de la version professionnelle du R5 6600H grand public avec des fonctions de gestion supplémentaires et le processeur Microsoft Pluton Security.

AMD Phoenix (Zen 4, Ryzen 7040):

R9 PRO 7940HS: Processeur mobile haut de gamme à 8 cœurs basé sur l'architecture Zen 4. Les cœurs du processeur cadencent jusqu'à 5,2 GHz et exécutent 16 threads simultanément. Intègre un moteur Ai-Engine XDNA. Le TDP est configurable entre 35 et 54 Watt.
