Le Galaxy Z Flip 6 n'est pas un smartphone comme un autre. Il faut avoir en tête où l'on met les pieds. S'il est vendu à un tarif premium, il ne propose pas toutes les capacités d'une smartphone haut de gamme. Si son autonomie est en hausse, elle est plus faible qu'un S24 et son module photo ne contient que deux capteurs. Des limitations voulues par le format pliable et que l'on ne répercute pas sur la note finale de ce test. Par rapport au Z Flip 5, on gagne un capteur principal plus imposant, une meilleure batterie et un design retravaillé sur le modèle des S24. Est-ce une suffisant pour passer le pas ? Oui et non. Disons que ce n'est pas un « game changer ». Une évolution douce avec quelques nouveautés bien senties. Si on avait eu un écran externe de 4 pouces comme sur le Motorola Razr 50 Ultra et un téléobjectif en plus, notre avis eût été différent.

Pour beaucoup, le Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 n’est finalement qu’une itération de ce qu’était le Z Flip5 et ils sont loin d’avoir tort. Il est vrai que si le design change légèrement pour être un peu plus d’actualité mais dans la réalité, le tout ne change pas vraiment par rapport à l’année dernière. L’écran externe est le même en terme de taille et de fonctionnalités. En parlant de ces dernières, Samsung n’a pas apporté de changement radical, du moins pas assez pour marquer une différence. Performant et plus autonome en revanche, le Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 perpétue la vision que porte Samsung sur son smartphone pliant à clapet. Le Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 est le smartphone pliant pour le grand-public. L’écran externe, même s’il n’est pas le plus grand sur le marché, permet une expérience au quotidien toujours agréable et ce, sans avoir à ouvrir son smartphone.

Ses écrans sont plus lumineux, il est (très légèrement) plus puissant que le Galaxy Z Flip 5, son volet photo est un peu plus précis, mais c'est avant tout une autonomie convaincante et un volet logiciel particulièrement peaufiné que l'on retient ici. Pour autant, ce smartphone laissera sur leur faim les détenteurs d'un Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Le prix ne baisse donc quasiment pas par rapport aux premières itérations, ni par rapport au Z Flip5, alors que le constructeur réalise des économies d’échelle sur de nombreux composants recyclés. Par ailleurs, les volumes de vente ont bien augmenté ce qui devrait mécaniquement faire baisser les tarifs. Hélas ce n’est pas le cas. De ce fait, le Galaxy Z Flip6 a beau nous séduire sur bien des aspects, il reste selon nous trop cher. Comme souvent, nous conseillons donc d’attendre que le prix baisse un peu et que Samsung bombarde les distributeurs de promotions.

Le Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 est la version la plus aboutie de la formule du pliant à clapet de Samsung. Il s'agit du Z Flip doté de la meilleure puce, du meilleur duo de modules photo, de la meilleure batterie, avec les dernières fonctionnalités Galaxy AI... Bref, c'est un excellent smartphone à clapet pour quiconque est client-e du genre. Mais le peu d'innovations marquantes d'une génération sur l'autre crée immanquablement un effet d'autoconcurrence. À l'heure où ces lignes sont écrites, le Z Flip 5, précédent modèle, se négocie presque 400 euros moins chers et semble être, sur le papier, un choix plus raisonnable. Une fois posée cette comparaison, le Z Flip 6 conserve tout de même tous les acquis de la gamme : de nombreux usages bien pensés comme le mode Flex, ainsi qu'une excellente intégration de l'écran externe.

Si le Galaxy Z Flip 6 n'est pas une révolution par rapport à son prédécesseur, il offre de nombreuses améliorations bienvenues. L'une des plus marquantes au niveau matériel est le changement du module principal de l'appareil photo. Celui-ci permet enfin de créer des images largement au-dessus de la moyenne, y compris en utilisant le zoom 2x « qualité optique », plutôt bon compte tenu de son origine numérique. On apprécie aussi l'évolution subtile, mais bien réelle du design, la finition mate et plus anguleuse se révélant très réussie. Les deux écrans font aussi partie des points forts, et l'on apprécie que Samsung ait progressé dans l'atténuation de la pliure de l'écran, presque imperceptible visuellement et au toucher. Côté puissance de calcul, le SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 dispose de tout ce qu'il faut.

As I noted at the start of this review, if you see a foldable phone on the street, it’s likely a Galaxy Z Flip. I do find it difficult to tell the difference between each model, though, as Samsung's iteration has been slow on this series. I’m also not sure that it will continue to be the default foldable option in the years to come if Samsung refuses to make any big changes to its design in the next few years. This is by far the best Galaxy Z Flip phone the company has released with this year’s tweaks failing to set headlines alight, but the changes are helpful in your everyday phone. That said, if you own a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or 5, you’re going to feel disappointed by these changes, and you may look toward the Motorola Razr+ (2024) with some jealousy.

I think if you like flip phones and you like smartphones, this is a solid buy. There are real benefits to having a smartphone that folds in half like a flip phone. For me, the main benefit is that it’s easier to fit in my pocket. For you, it might just be the utility of it all. The phone is essentially its own kickstand. Just flex the screen so it’s upright and facing you, and set the phone on a flat surface. Now you have an easy way to watch videos or set the phone up for photos or video recording. No kickstand is needed. This is a pretty neat thing and I can see the use cases of it. However, there are some things that need improvement. The charging speed could be an issue for some users. Not to mention, this phone starts at $1,100.

The only thing holding me back from wholeheartedly recommending the Flip to everyone is that you can’t drop it, because folding phones are fragile pieces of engineering wizardry.

Samsung is clearly playing it safe with the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is more evident by Motorola's Razr Plus 2024 launch a week prior, offering upgraded specs, a larger cover screen with a refined experience, and a cheaper price tag. That's not to say this is a bad phone because it's not. I would normally have no problem recommending this phone because it's quite a fine phone, but with a $100 price bump, I'm not sure I can recommend this over last year's just-as-fine Galaxy Z Flip 5. If you can find some deals and you're rocking the older Galaxy Z Flip 4, then I'd say go ahead and buy the Galaxy Z Flip 6. But even then, I would almost recommend the Razr Plus 2024 instead, which has already had some intriguing deals ahead of its official sale date. For now, I'll continue testing the phone to see if Samsung can change my mind. Be sure to check back for an updated review with my full thoughts on the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

In the end, I’ve come away from my time with the Z Flip 6 without the same feeling of enjoyment and excitement as I did with some of the older models. That’s perhaps a good thing though, because instead of introducing new, whimsical or cool features, this time Samsung focused on practical improvements. The durability feels better this time, the powerful processor isn’t as hamstrung by the lack of effective cooling, and even battery life from the relatively low capacity is pretty solid. The camera doesn’t feel like much of a weak point anymore either. Even the display seems better in brighter conditions. In short, it’s a case of the usual compromises that come with folding flip phones being minimised to the point where this is actually a solid all-round phone.

If you want a good Samsung foldable, you can save yourself hundreds of dollars by buying a Galaxy Z Flip 5 and really not miss out on much at all. Alternatively, if you can escape Team Samsung, this year’s Razr Plus kicks the Flip 6’s butt in more ways than one and costs $100 less. It’s not that Samsung made a bad phone with the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It just made a lazy one.

Moreover, the less visible crease means the device can blend in with regular slab phones more easily than ever. Samsung has a bunch of colors for you this year — Yellow, Silver Shadow, Mint, Blue, Black, White, and Peach, the latter three of which are Samsung.com exclusives.

The addition of the vapour chamber should alleviate any heat issues, while the upgraded RAM and battery size will hopefully keep the phone running well for longer. Seven years of software updates is always welcome too. There’s some tough competition in the space now, notably from Motorola with its huge outer-display-toting Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. Samsung has the skills to make the clamshell foldable to beat, and there’s every chance it has done that here.

At face value, even with all the upgrades, I can’t say whether the Z Fold 6 is worth the price increase, but I’m interested in finding out. The Z Flip 6 also increased to $1,462.99 from $1,299. Again, I can’t say if this price increase is worth it without putting the handset through its paces, but considering it mostly received quality-of-life updates, I doubt it. I love foldable smartphones, so I will spend a lot of time with both handsets, especially the Z Fold 6. I’m curious to see whether the wider screen is enough to make it stand out against the OnePlus Open. I would also like to see if the Z Flip 6 can compete against the Moto Razr+.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

SD 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy: Le cryo-CPU est basé sur l'architecture ARM v9.2 et se compose de trois clusters : Le premier comprend un noyau principal rapide(ARM Cortex-X4) pouvant atteindre 3,39 GHz.
