The addition of stylus support is a welcome change, and the same applies to cellular connectivity, which is finally an option. Both of these features will definitely attract new budget tablet buyers as Lenovo's Tab K11 (Rs. 15,999 onwards) is the only other tablet to offer stylus support at this price point. However, Lenovo's offering will only receive upgrades until Android 15, and therefore, Xiaomi's Redmi Pad 2 (Rs. 13,999 onwards) is a better choice at an attractive price. But as an upgrade, the Redmi Pad 2 has barely improved over the older Redmi Pad, as it hardly outperforms the previous model. And so, if you already own the previous model, there are very few reasons to upgrade to the new one. Cellular connectivity may convince a few existing owners to upgrade to the new Redmi Pad 2. But given that the core product has barely seen any worthy improvements, and given that a stylus is not a necessity, it's best to avoid doing so.

I think I have really enjoyed using the Redmi Pad 2. It’s very good at what it does and doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a tablet and doesn’t try to replace your laptop. I also feel that tablets should be tablets, and laptops should be laptops. If you are clear about why you need a tablet and your purpose is defined, then, especially with a limited budget, the Redmi Pad 2 won’t disappoint. It will do everything you could want from it.

The Redmi Pad 2 is a cracking budget tablet that delivers exactly what most people need – solid performance, excellent battery life, and a surprisingly premium feel. It won't replace your laptop anytime soon, and if you buy a more expensive tablet, you'll get a better screen, faster processor and better sound. But if you just want something that does the job, at a low price, it's hard to argue with the value here.

In conclusion, the Redmi Pad 2 delivers a more complete package in terms of performance, display quality, audio experience, and connectivity. It’s a well-rounded tablet that offers serious value for power users and students who want a bit more flexibility and horsepower. However, if your needs are more about simplicity, smooth multitasking, and battery life, the OPPO Pad SE stands its ground well. It may lack storage expansion or LTE, but its well-optimized software, fast charging, and premium feel make it an excellent choice for light users or younger students. Ultimately, your ideal pick depends on how you plan to use your tablet, but either way, you’re getting strong value in the sub-11K peso category.

If you’re looking for a basic, low-cost tablet for general use, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 will more than adequately cover your needs. This is especially if you go for the more powerful option with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The screen is great, and although the sound from the quad speakers lacks depth overall, they can handle loud music without distortion and remain clear. So, if you’d like a tablet for entertainment around the house and on the go, the Redmi Pad 2 is good value for money.

Overall, the Redmi Pad 2 has some meaningful upgrades from the previous model and is still one of the best recommendations if you are looking for a budget tablet, you should definitely skip the 4GB RAM+128GB storage model for the 8GB RAM+256GB model despite costing RM300 more, as it is going to be more usable and you won’t regret paying more.

So, should you buy this tablet? Well, I think that if you’re looking for something low in price, then yeah I guess it’s okay for you. However, I personally would recommend you to get something with a better screen because for a tablet, the screen is the most important. So, up your budget more and get – I don’t know, the Xiaomi Pad 7 for a much better screen, better performance, and you’ll be happier with your purchase. At least your eyes wouldn’t hurt by looking at this screen.

The Redmi Pad 2 delivers a balanced tablet experience focused on essentials: a vibrant and smooth display, robust audio performance, long battery life, and reliable day-to-day performance. It doesn’t chase after cutting-edge or ultra-premium features but instead focuses on what matters most for everyday users. The cameras are basic yet functional for communication and productivity, while the software provides a clean and efficient environment enhanced by useful multitasking capabilities. The solid metal construction and premium feel further elevate its appeal, making it a device you’ll feel confident carrying and using regularly. If you’re looking for a dependable Android tablet that excels at media consumption, light gaming, note-taking, and video calls, the Redmi Pad 2 is a smart choice. Its combination of a sharp 2.5K display, immersive quad speakers, and long-lasting battery makes it a versatile companion for a wide range of tasks, all while keeping budget considerations in mind.

After testing the Redmi Pad 2 extensively over the past few weeks, I can confidently say it’s one of the most well-balanced budget tablets currently available under ₹15,000. I used it for everything from document editing and email management to content consumption and benchmark testing. It consistently delivered smooth performance during multitasking, handled basic productivity apps without stutter, and maintained excellent thermal control throughout. The 90Hz display adds a layer of responsiveness rarely seen at this price point, and the inclusion of HyperOS based on Android 15 provides a much cleaner and more optimized experience than older MIUI versions. The battery life is exceptional, and stylus support, even as an optional accessory, is a major win for students or professionals who like quick note-taking or sketching workflows.

Mostly because it nails some of the basics like design, display, software, and battery life. And for casual users looking for a good multimedia tablet or even students, I think this could be a decent pick. Especially since you can also pair it with the “Redmi Smart Pen” which costs NPR 6,500. Its input delay is a bit noticeable, but I’d say it’s still perfectly fine for taking notes and stuff. I really wish Xiaomi had gone with a slightly more powerful chip, although for some NPR 25,000, the Redmi Pad 2 pretty much is the cream of the crop in Nepal.

If you’re looking for a very cheap Android tablet with a nice design and mostly decent specs and performance, then the Redmi Pad 2 certainly fits the bill. For starters, it looks and feels like a much more expensive tablet thanks to its clean metal unibody design. It then offers similar or better specs than its pricier key rival, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. Everything is sufficient for the kind of usage a budget tablet offers, even if nothing is particularly exciting.Optional accessories, particularly the stylus, make it an interesting option, especially when Xiaomi bundles these in or offers them at a sizable discount. Overall, the Redmi Pad 2 is an excellent all-round value tablet, and the downsides are mostly to be expected at this price anyway. Just carefully consider what you want it for if opting for the cheaper model with only 4GB of RAM.

Its pricing and feature set make the Redmi Pad 2 the perfect first tab for most users on a tight budget. The only real corner that it cuts is in terms of charging speed and RAM in the base model (we are not too sure how well AI will work with 4GB RAM). Some might frown at the bloatware on the device, but these are very minor quibbles in comparison to what it delivers – a very good display, super battery life, and multimedia that is excellent for its price point. The fact that you can get the Redmi Pad 2 with cellular support with a Redmi Smart Pen for under Rs 20,000 makes this easily the best option for those who want a budget tablet with some productivity features without breaking the bank. It would be super nice if Xiaomi also released a smart keyboard cover for it, although most Bluetooth and wired keyboards will work with it just fine.

For PHP 10,499, the REDMI Pad 2 did an impressive job with competitive games and gave a bearable performance on graphically demanding titles. If you’re into ARPGs, I wouldn’t recommend this device. But if you’re just planning to do dailies while relaxing in bed, this could be a decent pick.

If you want a cheap, dependable tablet for media consumption, like watching Netflix, reading the news, or for handing off to your kid for some YouTube time, it’s a very solid pick. It nails the essentials: great screen (with some caveats), booming battery life, decent speakers, and an attractive price. Awarded to products with an average rating of 3.75 stars or higher, the AndroidGuys Smart Pick recognizes a balance of quality, performance, and value. It stands out in design, innovation, and user experience, delivering great functionality at a competitive price. Early on I likened this experience to a Fire tablet alternative with fully integrated Google suite and Play Store access.

The Redmi Pad 2 is a solid pick for users looking for a dependable, budget-friendly tablet mainly for media consumption, casual browsing, note-taking, and online classes. With its 11-inch display, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, and a capable processor for everyday use, it handles most non-intensive tasks smoothly. The support for AI features like Circle to Search and Gemini adds a nice touch for productivity. If paired with the separately sold Redmi Smart Pen, it also becomes a decent option for students or professionals who want basic sketching or handwriting capabilities without spending too much. However, those expecting strong gaming performance or high-end camera output will find the Pad 2 lacking. The performance dips during graphically intensive games, and both the front and rear cameras are serviceable at best.

Xiaomi surely seems to have provided some interesting upgrades over the previous Redmi Pad model. But given that its processor remains the same, we are a bit skeptical about its performance, which we will test for our detailed review. Xiaomi has definitely managed to capture everyone's attention with the Redmi Pad 2, and this is mainly due to its price. With the tablet retailing from Rs. 13,999 for the base 4GB RAM variant, it sure makes for an attractive option as a basic and budget media consumption device. But how does it perform with day-to-day usage? And are there better budget tablet options available at this price point? Find out more in our detailed review, which will be out soon.

Finally, the price. The REDMI Pad 2 4G has a price of PHP10,499 SRP.. Overall, the REDMI Pad 2 4G is a tablet that you can rely on when it comes to your daily consumption. You also get a huge high-resolution display that is paired with a huge battery for longer battery life. Although they could have opted for faster charging. If you are eyeing a new affordable tablet, then I would recommend adding the REDMI Pad 2 4G to your list.

The Redmi Pad 2 costs €199 for the 4GB/128GB version and €249 for the 8GB/256GB model. Early birds can claim it for €170 and €200, respectively. And those are incredibly good prices for a tablet that has such a rounded specs sheet. The Redmi Pad 2 offers a solid build and likable design, good performance, loud speakers and long battery life. You can even improve your experience with a bunch of accessories. The Redmi Pad 2 boots the most current Android 15 version with HyperSO 2.0, which is much appreciated. And it runs nicely fast on the Pad 2.The two shortcomings we found are related to the slow charging speed and the budget nature of the display, which has uneven backlighting, rudimentary auto-brightness control and exhibits a contrast shift at an angle.

First up, yes, this budget tab does have some issues. Not everyone will enjoy HyperOS 2, which can be a little obtuse at times, while the update support isn't a match for Samsung etc. However, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 4G also boasts enough grunt to run games like Call of Duty and PubG. Battery life is solid, offering over ten hours of mixed use comfortably. Plus that screen is a serious highlight, pumping out sharp, good looking visuals - certainly for an LCD panel.

Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources).
