EN→FROf course, being a business laptop means the average consumer will not be able to purchase the ExpertBook P5 online or even in-store. Interested businesses or business owners will need to connect with Asus directly. The Asus ExpertBook P5 offers excellent value given its target audience. It goes above and beyond to deliver some practical AI features for business users and offers more than enough power for the self-employed crowd at the right price. It's not as snazzy as its consumer counterpart, the Asus Zenbook S14 (Review) (priced from Rs. 1,42,990), but offers a sleek design that still looks and feels premium.

EN→FROverall, the ASUS ExpertBook has definitely leveled up with this latest model. It's still the familiar business laptop we've come to know from ASUS, but now it has a bit more tricks up its sleeve too. It can now combine work and play in one, especially with its 144Hz display. It might not be able to run triple-A titles at max, but lighter games won't be an issue. It's not perfect though. The 14-inch screen still uses an IPS panel, and the hinge does flex a lot, but these are some of my personal nitpicks with this laptop. For the general users, this shouldn't be that big of a deal. Then we have the price. The ASUS ExpertBook P5 starts at PHP 82,995 here in the Philippines, which makes it decently priced for what it's capable of.

EN→FRThe Asus ExpertBook P5 brings solid build quality and performance along with excellent battery life to the table, making it a viable choice for road warriors on the go. While the new Asus AI ExpertMeet app is unique, it still has quite a ways to go before it hits prime time and the lack of a colour accurate display is a missed opportunity here. These quibbles aside, the Asus ExpertBook P5 is well worth a look for independents and organisations alike seeking a midtier AI-capable laptop with long battery life.

EN→FRWhether or not the ExpertBook P series is meant for you – it really depends on you and your company’s usage. I can’t really relate to how you’ll want to use these features because we’re a media company that makes videos. The AI transcription feature is useful for us though. The ExpertBook series is tiered according to how a company’s roles are tiered – so you should check out the catalog before making a purchase.

EN→FRThe ASUS ExpertBook P5 is ideal for business professionals who prioritize portability, long battery life, and a high-quality display. The AI features are particularly useful for executives, managers, and anyone who frequently participates in meetings or video conferences.

EN→FRAccording to ASUS, this particular configuration of the ExpertBook P5 (P5405) will cost RM6,859 apiece – note that this price can change depending on fleet sales. Still, I can confidently say this laptop has raised the bar of what a business laptop should be capable of, and that’s not something that can be easily done when technological breakthroughs in laptops are especially rare these days.

EN→FRThe Asus ExpertBook P5 starts at Rs 101,700 (excluding taxes) for the base variant, making it a good option for business users who value portability, security, and durability. With a sleek yet sturdy design, long battery life, and strong overall performance for everyday business tasks, it checks many boxes. Features like the 144Hz refresh rate and security options, including TPM 2.0 and advanced BIOS protections, help it stand out in the business laptop category. However, some users may find the lack of an Ethernet port and the absence of an OLED display at this price point a bit disappointing. Still, with long-term security updates and an international warranty, the ExpertBook P5 remains a dependable and well-rounded choice for those looking for a reliable business laptop.

EN→FRUnlike the older models in the line, ASUS ExpertBook P5 does not have a super-light aluminum-lithium alloy case. But the rest of the features and characteristics are fully consistent with the high requirements for business laptops. It has a high-quality IPS display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, an up-to-date platform with a good level of performance for its tasks, and, of course, long battery life. To this we should add a comfortable keyboard, touchpad, a good set of connectors, and two SSD slots. Speaking of complaints, I didn't really like the hinge, which creaks and feels unreliable. And the lack of a mobile modem option and RJ-45 network connection, which would be useful in a business laptop.

EN→FRThe Asus ExpertBook P5 (P5405) at $1,299 isn’t the cheapest business laptop by any means, but it’s a strong value in a market where prices closer to $2,000 and beyond are common for similar hardware. I just mentioned it again above, but that three-year warranty with one year of Accidental Damage Protection is an enticing add-on for businesses that don’t want to replace a new laptop due to some mishap after 6 months with it. The display and the mushy touchpad are the biggest complaints I have with the ExpertBook P5 and they are frankly fairly minor for a business laptop. If you are doing work that requires vibrant color and precise color accuracy, this isn’t the laptop for you, but the bright 144Hz panel is outstanding for productivity work.

EN→FRThis ExpertBook P5 is a solid daily laptop for general use, for work and school and regular activities. Unlike the consumer Vivobook and Zenbook Asus models, this comes with a few extras in terms of durability and reliability standards that it has to meet, a few extra software and BIOS tweaks, and a few design and ergonomics particularities. For instance, it implements a clickier keyboard, a 180-hinge with an IPS display, it’s easier to upgrade and service, and depending on your region comes with a few extra warranty and post-sale perks.

EN→FRMaybe. The ExpertBook P5 is frustratingly close to being a great, budget-friendly business laptop, especially in the sub-£1,000 market. You're getting a good design, excellent build quality, a strong keyboard and touchpad, and plenty of connectivity, along with a better screen than those you'll find on many business-grade devices at this price point. Intel's CPU is no multi-threaded powerhouse, but it's a solid all-rounder with AI capabilities and faster GPU performance than Snapdragon X alternatives. Yet you're still taking a sizable step down in performance from higher-end devices, while battery life isn't where we hoped it would be. We'd cautiously recommend it, but it's not quite a must-buy.

EN→FROn the face of it, the Asus ExpertBook P5 delivers all the lovely things that a good ultrabook design needs. It's thin and reasonably lightweight, while the aluminium skin makes it feel robust and substantial. The processor is powerful enough for the power user and has AI trinkets for those who insist on running Stable Diffusion locally or want to develop AI code. The P5 isn't a mobile workstation, but it has enough power for most users, and its power efficiency makes the battery capacity last a remarkably long time. It's also quite affordable for such new technology. That coming from Asus is rather refreshing.

EN→FRWe liked the Zenbook S 14 quite a bit. It’s not as fast as we hoped, but it had strong battery life, a quality build, and a great OLED display. I was hopeful that the ExpertBook P5 would offer the same qualities, only with a slant toward businesses. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. To begin with, the build quality just isn’t what it should be. In particular, the lid feels fragile. The ExpertBook P5 is reasonably affordable, but that’s not acceptable. And battery life was disappointing, and that’s the whole purpose of Intel’s new chipset. I can’t recommend this laptop.

Commentaire
