When it comes to high-end performance, few competitors put together such a compelling package as this new ROG laptop. Throw the best Steam games at this G14 and you’ll be met with stellar performance time after time. This laptop’s screen resolution complements its beefy specs, resulting in gaming experiences that feel as smooth as they look sharp. This is hardly an affordable unit, but in terms of high-performance gaming laptops, it’s as appealing as any similarly-priced alternative I’ve seen this year. As for competitors, the Razer Blade 14 is another outstanding gaming laptop. This powerhouse machine comes with a blistering 240Hz QHD panel, and you can pair it with a RTX 4070 for $2,700, which hits a nice sweet spot between price vs performance. If you don't mind something a little bigger, the excellent Asus ROG Strix G18 is also well worth considering.

If I were in the market for a laptop, my choice would undoubtedly be this one. While the new ASUS laptop isn’t perfect, its high price is indeed a drawback compared to other laptops, despite the presence of RGB backlighting for each key. The laptop’s battery life is also not extensive enough, limiting its appeal for productivity tasks. However, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023) remains the best option if you need the perfect balance of portability and high performance. This laptop, as before, stands out as one of the most powerful and refined in its class.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 doesn’t hold out on aesthetics, graphics performance, portability, or build quality—but it is expensive. The no-holds-barred model with an Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card costs $3,299. If you want something cheaper, there are a couple of laptops that also have great performance and battery life. The sleek Razer Blade 14 has almost eight hours of battery life, the same processor as the Zephyrus G14, and a respectable Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics card for $2,699. If it’s only performance you’re after, and you’re okay with something bulkier, there’s the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17. If you’re having trouble deciding between the various Zephyrus G14 models, the best value among them are the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 models, which retail at $1,599 and $1,849 respectively.

Previously you’d have to settle for a large, cumbersome laptop for ultimate power, and yet the G14 offers industry-leading specs inside an ultra-portable frame that can be picked up comfortably with one hand – that’s pure magic. The G14 impresses in other areas too, with a stunning Mini LED display, loud booming speakers and a design that can be personalised with LED lighting. If I was going to buy myself a laptop, this would be my first choice. It’s by no means perfect though. The price is really steep compared to other laptops, despite lacking per-key RGB lighting. Battery life is poor too, limiting its appeal for productivity tasks, especially when compared to the Razer Blade 14.

Carte graphique haut de gamme pour ordinateur portable basée sur l'architecture Ada Lovelace. Elle offre 16 Go de VRAM GDDR6 avec un bus mémoire de 256 bits et peut être configurée avec un TDP de 80 à 150 (+ Dynamic Boost).
Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.

R9 7940HS: Processeur haut de gamme mobile à 8 noyaux avec 16 threads. Il est cadencé à un maximum de 5,2 GHz sur un noyau et peut être utilisé dans des applications mono et multithread. Il utilise l'architecture Zen 4 et a un TDP configurable de 35 à 54 watts.
