So, which one is better? Well, both AMD and Intel versions had similar performance, with the Ryzen 7 6800H being better in multi-core intensive tasks, while the i7-12700H being slightly better in jobs where the single-core maximum frequency is more important. It seems that in the end, the price is the deciding factor. As a gamer, get whichever version is cheaper in your region since there is no noticeable gap in performance between the two versions.

Throw in the updated hardware with increased power settings, the updated thermal module, and the addition of a MUX for the un-limited gaming experience, alongside the efficiency of the Ryzen 6000 hardware platform paired with a 90Wh battery inside, and the 2022 A15 is going to be an interesting option in the lower and mid-budget segment of all-purpose computers with a strong gaming pedigree. At the same time, though, I still have some nits with the ergonomics of this series, and with the rather high internal temperatures in demanding loads with the laptop sitting on a desk. Furthermore, the competition has also been updated for this year, and the 2022 Legion 5 or Nitro 5 are now better than ever before, and able to at least match the TUF on most of the important angles. Add in what looks like a higher price tag for the TUF Gaming notebook now, with all the updates, compared to past TUFs, as well as the internal competition from the superior ROG Strix G15 design, and the TUF A15 might not be an obvious recommendation in its class.

The A15 even manages to supply decent battery life in non-gaming situations. It’s an affordable laptop, though, so the A15 isn’t perfect. Its keyboard is fine for gaming but the trackpad is poor, its connectivity and build quality are mediocre, and Intel’s latest processors are faster than the Ryzen 7 6800H if we're going to nitpick. No notebook will be perfect at this price, though, and the A15’s issues aren’t ruinous – there’s still enough quality here to handle everyday life and this won’t be the last gaming laptop with a poor trackpad. The Asus TUF Gaming A15 offers good quality in most key areas, so it’s an excellent choice if you want a versatile gaming laptop without breaking the bank.

L’Asus TUF A15 est un excellent PC. Avec une carte graphique Nvidia RTX, on s’en doutait déjà pour le jeu vidéo. La surprise vient plutôt dans la bureautique. Son ratio poids/puissance en fait le parfait compagnon pour un étudiant ou même un professionnel. D’ailleurs, son esthétique se montre très sobre, le RGB très discret et désactivable pour se fondre dans un environnement de maison ou d’entreprise. Le savoir-faire d’Asus en matière de dissipation thermique est remarquable. On regrettera seulement que la gamme TUF manque de personnalité avec beaucoup de plastique pour un PC costaud. Le son est en outre décevant. Pour ne rien gâcher, le tarif est très correct pour cette qualité.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. est un important fabricant de matériel informatique taïwanais basé à Taipei, fondé en 1989. Sous la marque Asus, la société fabrique une large gamme de produits, notamment des ordinateurs portables, des ordinateurs de bureau, des cartes mères, des cartes graphiques, des moniteurs, des smartphones et des équipements réseau. , des systèmes complets et des composants PC pour les utilisateurs finaux.

R7 6800H:
APU mobile octa-core utilisant des cœurs Zen 3+ cadencés de 3,2 à 4,7 GHz et une carte graphique RDNA2 avec 12 CU cadencées jusqu'à 2 200 MHz.
R7 7735HS: APU mobile avec quatre noyaux à base de Zen 3+, cadencés entre 3,2 et 4,7 GHz, et refresh des Ryzen 7 6800HS (+50 MHz Turbo Takt et TDP jusqu'à 54W).
AMD Phoenix (Zen 4, Ryzen 7040):
R9 7940HS: Processeur haut de gamme mobile à 8 noyaux avec 16 threads. Il est cadencé à un maximum de 5,2 GHz sur un noyau et peut être utilisé dans des applications mono et multithread. Il utilise l'architecture Zen 4 et a un TDP configurable de 35 à 54 watts.
AMD Hawk Point (Zen 4/4c, Ryzen 8040):
R9 8945HS: Un puissant APU de la famille Hawk Point. Il ne s'agit pas d'un tout nouveau processeur pour ordinateur portable, mais d'un R9 7940HS rebadgé (les deux sont identiques à presque tous les égards). Le 8945HS dispose de 8 cœurs Zen 4 compatibles SMT cadencés entre 4,0 GHz et 5,2 GHz pour un total de 16 threads de traitement. Il est également équipé de la technologie Ryzen AI de deuxième génération qui vise à éclipser complètement les technologies DL Boost et GNA d'Intel. En termes de graphisme, le processeur graphique intégré haut de gamme Radeon 780M rendra les sessions de jeu occasionnelles beaucoup plus agréables.
