It has a beautiful Tandem OLED display option, and its haptic touchpad is well-made. The laptop's zero-lattice keyboard takes some getting used to, however, and its display tops out at a disappointing 60Hz refresh rate. Still, this Pro Max model is fast enough for the demanding creative and professional apps that workstations generally run, and that's impressive for its size. If you need speedy workstation-grade performance and don’t mind carrying around a larger laptop, then you can find faster options. But if portability is key, then the Pro Max 14 Premium is a smart choice for IT buyers who can score it at a healthy discount. (Independent contractors will need to save up or budget accordingly.) For people who want more screen space and more power, the Dell Pro Max 18 Plus is our top-tier workstation right now and an Editors' Choice award winner.

EN→FRStability quibbles aside, the hardware is spectacular: the Pro Max 14 Premium feels like one of the dependable old-school Precision class workhorses brought bang up to date. Needless to say, that brings it very close to being our perfect everyday Windows laptop. The only laptop that makes it feel a tad underpowered is the latest M5-powered MacBook Pro, and that may not be an option for every business. By far our biggest concern with the Pro Max 14 Premium is that once you take advantage of all the upgrades, there are still inevitable compromises. The smaller 14-inch chassis drastically curtails its performance potential as a workstation – there's a hard limit to how much power you can pack into this kind of thermal envelope – and the discrete Nvidia GPU and tandem OLED display slash battery life.

Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.

Ultra 9 285H: Processeur mobile haut de gamme basé sur l'architecture Arrow Lake avec 16 cœurs répartis en 3 clusters. Les 6 cœurs P rapides cadencent jusqu'à 5,4 GHz. Il y a également 8 petits cœurs E pouvant atteindre 4,5 GHz et 2 petits cœurs à faible consommation (même architecture) pouvant atteindre 2,5 GHz. Le SoC intègre un petit NPU avec une performance de pointe de 13 TOPS et prend en charge vPro Enterprise.
