Le roi des PC ultraportables reste sur son trône. Difficile en effet de trouver un défaut à ce Dell XPS 13 (2020). Toujours aussi élégant et performant, il conserve les ingrédients qui ont fait le succès des versions précédentes. Dell va même plus loin en repoussant encore les limites de la compacité. L’écran 4K de notre modèle de test est idéal pour la consommation de contenus multimédias, mais consomme plus d’énergie. Si pour vous l’autonomie est un critère primordial, nous vous conseillons de vous tourner vers un modèle avec écran Full HD, plus endurant et moins cher. D’autant que la différence de qualité entre une définition 4K et Full HD sur une dalle de cette taille ne saute pas aux yeux.

I really love the new XPS 13. There doesn't seem to be any meaningful compromises here, and the improvements that Dell made absolutely are meaningful. My only complaints are that there's no cellular model, something that HP offers from its Spectre lineup, and that you have to scan your fingerprint after the PC boots up. That's it.

Reusing chassis designs is not uncommon in the laptop industry. However, it is really interesting how Dell managed to pull this off with brand new hardware, on a body that is old enough to go to kindergarten. So, is it worth buying this laptop in 2022? Well, the answer to this question depends on a lot of things. If you get a decent deal, it’s definitely not a bad idea to invest in the XPS 13 9305. However, there is a whole ton of new machines ready to hit the market, that is equipped with the latest tech from both Intel and AMD. Prise en main du Dell XPS 13 Plus : tout miser sur le design

Dans les différents communiqués de presse de Dell, on pouvait lire ici et là une sortie au 22 mars 2022 ou plus généralement au printemps. La marque, comme les autres fabricants, doit faire face à la pénurie des composants et chaque lancement de produit est complexe. On l’a encore vu récemment avec le lancement de l’excellent Alienware QD-Oled AW3423DW en rupture de stock jusqu’à la fin de l’été. Interrogé sur la sortie du Dell XPS 13 Plus en France, Dell nous a indiqué un lancement « prochainement » sans plus de détails. Après cette session de prise en main par la presse, on peut tout de même espérer un lancement d’ici à l’été, dans les prochaines semaines.

The sleek Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 impresses with its exquisitely crafted chassis and solid performance though it has a few quibbles that detract from what is otherwise an excellent design. The Zero Lattice keyboard offers a fantastic typing experience but the cramming of the shortcut and function keys into a single haptic touch row leaves something to be desired in terms of practicality. Its high performance envelope and underwhelming battery life means that it is best suited for short power meetings out of the office than a daily-carry workhorse.

Also running Windows 11, the hybrid XPS 13 runs on 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs, up to 16GB of RAM and one TB of internal SSD storage. It also uses the integrated Intel graphics processor, with a 13-inch “3K” 2880 x 1920 Dolby Vision-compatible display. For meetings or taking snaps, the XPS 13 2-in-1 features a 1080p selfie webcam and 4K rear-facing camera. Available in either a blue sky-coloured Wi-Fi 6E model or slate-coloured 5G version, the XPS 13 2-in-1 starts at $1,999 and will launch on 9 July in Australia and New Zealand. I’ve used an older Dell XPS 13 laptop for years now and can attest to its quality. The downsized motherboard in the latest model is a particularly impressive feat, so I’m looking forward to finding out if the performance keeps pace.

Dell:

Dell est un fabricant américain (basé au Texas) de matériel informatique fondé en 1984 et l'un des plus grands fabricants internationaux en termes de parts de marché et de modèles d'ordinateurs portables. Sa gamme de produits comprend des ordinateurs de bureau, des ordinateurs portables, des systèmes de stockage, des moniteurs, des serveurs, des imprimantes, des appareils électroniques grand public et des périphériques. Dell propose des ordinateurs portables adaptés à diverses applications, telles que les ordinateurs portables professionnels, les ordinateurs portables de jeu, les ultra-portables et les postes de travail. Les ordinateurs portables professionnels Dell des séries Latitude et Precision sont une option pour les utilisateurs professionnels et les entreprises.

En 2023, Dell détenait une part de marché d'environ 17 % des ventes mondiales de PC, se classant au troisième rang après Lenovo et HP.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Un processeur de la famille Alder Lake de milieu de gamme supérieur comprenant 4 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Ce SoC de 28 W est conçu pour être utilisé dans des ordinateurs portables ultra-légers. Les cœurs de performance du Core i7-1260P sont compatibles avec l'Hyper-Threading pour un total de 16 threads. Ce processeur de 12e génération fonctionne de 1,5 GHz à 4,7 GHz et prend en charge les fonctions vPro du niveau "Essentials". Enfin, le Core i7-1260P est doté d'un GPU Iris Xe 96 EU intégré, ce qui n'est pas sans rappeler certaines pièces de la 11e génération Tiger Lake-UP3.
