And that’s kind of the heart of it. The display on the new Aero 15 OLED isn’t just gorgeous. In many ways, it’s kinda the only thing really worth talking about. Even by the standards of laptop refreshes, this is a pretty minor revision. There are plenty of other content creation laptops out there that run the same 9th-Gen Intel Core processors or Nvidia RTX graphics. There aren’t that many out there with OLED screens. If having that OLED screen actually matters to you, you’ll probably want to put some serious consideration into whether it’s worth paying the premium. What you’re getting here is good but, at the same time, most of the differences and evolution that the Aero 15 OLED offers are only skin deep.

Microsoft's Azure AI, while a welcome inclusion, isn't a killer selling point. But the Aero 15's strong performance, 240-Hz display, deep-travel keyboard and long battery life stuffed into a slim, aluminum chassis make its $2,499 price tag worth considering. However, it's hard to ignore the glaring bottom-bezel webcam, the ridiculously high temperatures and dimmer-than-average screen.

The Gigabyte Aero 15 Classic XA reeks of unfulfilled promise. It's got an attractive, tasteful design, gorgeous 240Hz display, and a compact and slim aluminum chassis. The hardware is top-notch as well, with the latest 9th-generation hexa-core Core i7 chip, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, and internal components from reputable vendors. What's more, battery life is truly excellent, and there are few laptops that even come close.
