Le Mate X3 a d'excellents atouts dans sa besace. Les photos avec le capteur principal. Les portraits. Les selfies. La personnalisation de l'interface. Les bonnes performances. La maitrise de la chaleur. L'autonomie. Les deux écrans. Sans oublier le design incroyable, très fin et très léger pour ce form factor. Tous ces avantages auraient pu justifier un achat à 2200 euros. Si seulement le produit n'avait aucun défaut. Or, ce n'est pas le cas. La publicité dans l'interface. Les applications commerciales préinstallées, les photos de nuit avec le téléobjectif ou l'ultra grand-angle. La lenteur de la charge rapide. La gestion archaïque du taux de rafraichissement des écrans. Sans même aborder l'absence des services Google, le Mate X3 est trop onéreux. Et le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas en sa faveur face à la concurrence.

Encore une fois, Huawei parvient à séduire avec un smartphone pliant. Le Mate X3 sait convaincre notamment grâce à ses deux excellents afficheurs, son design très réussi ou encore ses capacités photographiques de haute volée par rapport à la concurrence. Il est toutefois loin d'être parfait. Son autonomie décevante lui permet à peine de tenir une journée complète. Un problème qui faisait déjà mal au précédent Mate Xs 2 et que Huawei ne semble pas avoir su corriger. Il n'empêche que ce Mate X3 reste très désirable, si on sait faire abstraction de ce défaut.

Le Huawei Mate X3 est confronté en Europe aux mêmes problèmes que ses homologues et c'est vraiment dommage. Car à part cela, le fabricant a réellement réussi à créer un pliable agréable au toucher, à l'œil et à la technique, qui ne sera pas perçu comme tel dans votre poche ou votre main en raison de sa finesse et de sa légèreté. Associé à ce qui semble être un excellent objectif principal, le Huawei Mate X3 n'a vraiment pas à rougir face à la concurrence sur le marché des pliables. Le Huawei Mate X3 est vendu prix délirant de près de 2200 euros. Huawei peut-il vraiment se permettre de pratiquer de tels prix? Je pense qu'en matière de prix et de politique de mise à jour, le groupe a un besoin urgent de remaniement et de réflexion en interne.

Unboxing the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone with a full tour of the camera tech, gaming abilities, split-screen features and beyond. As far as hardware goes, the Huawei Mate X3 certainly looks like a solid Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 rival. Of course, with EMUI on board rather than Android, there's the usual software caveats. I'm absolutely in love with the design here, which is skinny and light compared with many foldables. The Huawei Mate X3 weighs less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with a 6.4-inch outer screen and near 8-inch internal display. Both panels are OLED, with LTPO tech for the external screen. You've also got a stereo speaker setup. Huawei has shoved several cameras on the Mate X3, with a 50MP Ultravision shooter headlining the back lot.

Almost no one should consider buying the Huawei Mate X3. It’s very expensive, there’s no 5G, its processor isn’t the very latest standard, and the lack of Google support will make it borderline unusable for the vast majority of app-using people. That’s a real tragedy, because if you’re talking about pure premium foldable hardware, the Huawei Mate X3 is the best in the business. It’s sleek enough to use as a normal phone whilst closed, but it unfurls confidently into a slim and capable mini-tablet. Its cameras, too, are very good as foldables go, with the particularly notable provision of a strong 5x telephoto. Battery life is also solid, while the charging provision is the best we’ve seen in a foldable. There’s so much to like here. Even so, we can’t in all good conscience recommend the Huawei Mate X3 above the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, the Google Pixel Fold, or any other book-style foldable from a manufacturer that has its house in order.

From a hardware standpoint, the Huawei Mate X3 cannot be beaten by other book-style foldables. Both the rear body and OLED displays are a treat to look at, and its light and slim body is truly remarkable. It also functions just as well as a normal smartphone when closed. Unfortunately, it’s extremely hard to use without Google-supported apps. Side-loading can only get you so far, and Huawei’s own apps just aren’t as intuitive and clean. The battery life isn’t impressive either. If it didn’t have these software issues, it would almost certainly be one of the best foldables you can get right now. If Huawei can manage to one day get back in the Google game, then it might stand a chance at competing in the Western foldable market.

If you have not been able to get used to a full-size foldable for size reasons, you should definitely take a look at the Mate X3. The last weak spot is the insane price of just under 2,200 Euros (approx. $2360). Is the technology really still that expensive after almost five years in the market—and above all: Can Huawei really afford these prices? I think the company urgently needs to catch up in terms of price and update policy. However, in my opinion, the biggest issues are unfortunately outside Huawei's control...

Plus points for managing to seal it enough to be water resistant and tougher than all other foldables in the market today. But, if you can look past the inconvenience, then the Huawei Mate X3 is an excellent foldable smartphone that showcases Huawei’s engineering ingenuity and photography expertise. Overall, the Huawei Mate X3 is a very good take on a modern foldable phone. From a design standpoint, it's easily the best foldable device I've used so far. It's thin, it's lightweight, and it's pretty much as good as it gets in the design department. Huawei has achieved what others can only strive for, and it genuinely feels that if the software situation was better, the Mate X3 would have been the pinnacle of foldable phone design. Yes, the software experience lacks polish. The interface hasn't seen any major changes in a while and things are starting to look slightly outdated. Albeit things have improved, Huawei is still struggling to cope with the US-imposed sanctions that prevent it from officially embracing Google's service framework. While most of your apps will work as intended, you will be wise to expect hurdles here or there.

The Mate X3 is an exquisite device through and through. The hardware up on offer here represents some of the most advanced foldable design there is. Huawei has crafted an incredibly thin device that folds perfectly closed with no air gap and unfolds to a very flat state with a minimal crease. Despite its thin and light body, the Mate X3 still manages to fit in a lot of high-end hardware, including two big displays, a pretty large 4,800 mAh battery with wireless charging and a pair of excellent stereo speakers. There is even an IR blaster on board, so you know that Huawei is not holding back any punches in the hardware department. This attention to detail extends to the excellent camera setup as well. The main 50MP camera on the Mate X3 is quite versatile and produces all-around great photos and videos. We found ourselves particularly impressed by the telephoto camera on the Mate X3.

The Huawei Mate X3 is a fabulous looking device. It's lovely and slender for a foldable, supremely premium and it delivers huge - and great - screens within its footprint. We still need to spend some time with it to determine how it performs, as well as what the camera and battery performance is like, but from a design element, we love it. The problem of course - which is the same for the Huawei P60 Pro too - is that without 5G and access to Google's apps and the Play Store, there are some compromises. Are they ones you're willing to make for the sake of a fabulous design?

The Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone launched in March 2023, with a price tag of $1911 (Rs 1,56,499 in India) approx. Let’s start with the display, the Huawei Mate X3 smartphone has a dual-screen, the foldable screen is 7.85 inches OLED with 1B colors, while the cover screen size is 6.4 inches OLED display. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is protected by Kunlun glass protection. The smartphone has 5G connectivity and also a waterproof body. The performance aspect is one of the key selling points for the Huawei Mate X3 as you are getting the 4nm Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G chipset. Also, the company added HarmonyOS 3.1 for China variants and EMUI for Europe variants with no google play services. Anyway, it’s good to see that the company offers a 256GB/512GB/1TB internal space based on the UFS that will be accompanied by 8GB RAM support. The smartphone is available in multiple color variants like White, Black, Dark Green, Purple, and Gold. As for the camera’s performance, the Mate X3 phone offers a triple camera setup featuring a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, an 8MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 13MP ultrawide lens. As for selfies, you get an 8MP camera on the front camera. As for video recording, you will able to record 4K videos with gyro-EIS support from the main camera setup. As for battery capacity, the Huawei company added a Li-Po 4800 mAh battery for Global and a silicon-carbon 5060 mAh battery for China variants. Also, the battery has a 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging support.

Qualcomm Adreno 730:

Puce graphique pour smartphones et tablettes intégrée au SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Qualcomm affirme qu'elle est 30 % plus rapide que l'Adreno 660 du SoC Snapdragon 888. Pour Android, elle devrait être l'une des cartes graphiques les plus rapides fin 2021.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

SD 8+ Gen 1:

SoC haut de gamme pour smartphones, introduit fin 2021 et fabriqué en 4 nm chez TSMC. Il intègre un "Prime Core" basé sur une architecture ARM Cortex-X2 cadencée jusqu'à 3,2 GHz. Trois autres cœurs de performance sont basés sur l'A710 mais cadencés jusqu'à 2,5 GHz. En outre, quatre cœurs d'économie d'énergie sont intégrés, basés sur l'architecture ARM Cortex-A510 et cadencés jusqu'à 1,8 GHz. En plus des cœurs de processeur, le SoC intègre un modem WiFi 6e, un DSP Hexagon (pour l'accélération de l'IA) et un ISP Spectra. Le contrôleur de mémoire intégré prend en charge la mémoire rapide LPDDR5 jusqu'à 3 200 MHz. La 5G est désormais incluse dans la puce avec le modem Snapdragon X65. Par rapport à la version non plus, le 8+ Gen 1 offre un Prime Core cadencé à 200 MHz de plus et un GPU cadencé à 10% de plus. De plus, elle est désormais produite par TSMC et non plus par Samsung.

7.85": Cette diagonale d’écran fait office d’entre deux entre les tablettes et les smartphones. La grande majorité des tablettes possèdent un écran plus grand, mais de plus en plus de smartphones proposent cette diagonale d’écran.

Un écran de plus grandes dimensions permettent des résolutions plus élevées, les détails comme la finesse des lettres seront meilleurs. Néanmoins, un écran de plus petite taille est synonyme de consommation énergétique moindre et souvent d’un appareil plus compact, plus léger et plus abordable.

78.24%: La note n'est pas convaincante. On doit considérer qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'ordinateurs portables qui reçoivent une note en dessous de 60%. Ce portable est en dessous de la moyenne, Nous ne conseillons pas vraiment son achat.
