You’ll be able to customise your build to either fit mid-tier creative and gaming needs up to something that will accommodate professional creators on the go and higher-end gaming. The full package is backed up by a keyboard that offers a good first impression and a wondrous display. It’s not the most portable device and other features that I didn’t have the opportunity to test out, like the speakers and webcam, will also play a part in determining if this is up there with the best of them.

S'il n'avait pas autant chauffé en utilisation intensive, et si son autonomie s'était avérée (un chouia) plus généreuse, le Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i aurait sûrement été l'un de nos coups de cœur sur le terrain des produits destinés aux utilisations avancées et créatives. En l'état, l'appareil reste néanmoins très bien positionné sur le marché, notamment face au Dell XPS 17 ou au Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, qu'il vient concurrencer directement… et percuter de plein fouet avec de meilleures performances et un placement tarifaire compétitif. Face aux MacBook Pro d'Apple, le constat est en revanche moins favorable, principalement du fait de l'insolente efficacité énergétique de ces modèles.

Is the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i better than the MacBook Pro? Tough question. The Lenovo has a faster screen with a touch interface, an Nvidia GPU that makes it better suited to gaming and, in my view, a superior keyboard. The Apple laptop counters with far longer battery life, better HDR performance (but that’s a MacOS vs Windows issue) and better connectivity. Like-for-like, the MacBook Pro is considerably more expensive. My review system has the Mini LED display, Core i9 CPU and RTX 4070 graphics, but I can’t find that exact model on sale in the UK. The otherwise identical RTX 4060 model is, however, readily available for £2,299, and since the performance drop-off between the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 is not that dramatic, I’ve based my value-for-money conclusions on that. What can be said though is that the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 is one of the very best MacBook Pro rivals yet, topping the HP Omen Transcend 16 and Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra in terms of graphical and audio performance, even if it similarly falls foul in battery life.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" de la légende anglaise, novo (latin) pour nouveau) a été fondée en 1984 en tant que société chinoise de commerce d'ordinateurs. En 2004, la société était le plus grand fabricant d'ordinateurs portables en Chine et, après l'acquisition de la division PC d'IBM en 2005, le quatrième au monde. En plus des ordinateurs de bureau et des ordinateurs portables, la société fabrique des moniteurs, des projecteurs, des serveurs, etc., et se spécialise dans le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation d'électronique grand public, d'ordinateurs personnels, de logiciels, de solutions d'entreprise et de services connexes.
En 2016, l'entreprise s'est classée au premier rang mondial des ventes d'ordinateurs. Il le détenait encore en 2023 avec environ 23% de part de marché mondiale. Les gammes de produits importantes sont Thinkpad, Legion et Ideapad.
En 2011, elle a acquis une participation majoritaire dans Medion AG, un fabricant européen de matériel informatique. En 2014, Motorola Mobility a été racheté, ce qui a donné un coup de pouce à Lenovo sur le marché des smartphones.
Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU:
Carte graphique de milieu de gamme pour ordinateurs portables basée sur l'architecture Ada Lovelace. Offre 6 GB GDDR6 (96 Bit) et est configurable avec un TGP de 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU:
Carte graphique haut de gamme pour ordinateurs portables basée sur l'architecture Ada Lovelace. Offre 8 GB GDDR6 (128 Bit) et est configurable avec un TGP de 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop: Une prochaine carte graphique de la famille Blackwell pour ordinateurs portables, que la Team Green présentera très probablement au CES 2025. Si l'on considère que l'ordinateur portable 4070 possède 4 608 shaders unifiés (cœurs CUDA), la 5070 aura très probablement plus de 5 000 shaders.

Intel Raptor Lake-H:
i7-13705H: Un processeur mobile basé sur Alder-Lake avec 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs d'efficacité. Les cœurs de performance offrent un hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 20 threads. L'horloge du processeur peut atteindre 5 GHz. Par rapport au i9-13900HK, l'overclocking n'est pas facile à réaliser.
i9-13905H: Un processeur mobile basé sur Alder-Lake avec 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs d'efficacité. Les cœurs de performance offrent un hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 20 threads. L'horloge du processeur tourne à 5,4 GHz. Similaire au i9-13900H mais sans support vPro, le 13905H utilise un boîtier et un socket différents.
Intel Meteor Lake-H:
Ultra 9 185H: Une puce Meteor Lake haut de gamme qui a fait ses débuts en décembre 2023. Ce processeur Core Ultra de 1ère génération est venu remplacer les puces Core de 13ème génération ; il dispose de 16 cœurs (6 + 8 + 2) et de 22 threads. Ses cœurs Performance, au nombre de 6, tournent jusqu'à 5,1 GHz tandis que ses cœurs Efficient, au nombre de 10 (8 cœurs principaux plus 2 supplémentaires trouvés dans l'îlot basse consommation) tournent jusqu'à 3,8 GHz. Le GPU Arc à 8 cœurs, tout juste sorti du four, sert d'adaptateur graphique intégré - il fonctionne à une fréquence maximale de 2,35 GHz - et une foule d'autres technologies inédites sont également proposées, comme le NPU AI Boost intégré avec deux moteurs Gen 3 pour l'accélération matérielle des charges de travail d'IA. La consommation d'énergie "de base" de ce processeur pour ordinateur portable est de 45 W, tandis que sa consommation d'énergie Turbo n'est pas censée dépasser 115 W.
Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 9 285H: Processeur mobile haut de gamme basé sur l'architecture Arrow Lake avec 16 cœurs répartis en 3 clusters. Les 6 cœurs P rapides cadencent jusqu'à 5,4 GHz. Il y a également 8 petits cœurs E pouvant atteindre 4,5 GHz et 2 petits cœurs à faible consommation (même architecture) pouvant atteindre 2,5 GHz. Le SoC intègre un petit NPU avec une performance de pointe de 13 TOPS et prend en charge vPro Enterprise.
