Ce MSI Prestige 13 Evo ne se classe pas tout en haut du panier, mais reste tout de même dans la tête de classe, comme un bon élève qui ne chercherait pas à faire plus que ce qu’on lui demande. On apprécie ses performances, son autonomie et son format, même si on déplore quelques points que l’on aimerait voir plus travaillés. Mais, il répond finalement aux attentes de la très grande majorité des utilisateurs cherchant un laptop compact, puissant et polyvalent et reste un très bon choix.

The MSI Prestige 13 Evo (2023) is one of the most exciting productivity laptops so far this year, but that might be because it shows what MSI is capable of rather than staking its claim as one of the best laptops with a thin-and-light design. If MSI could stick an OLED in this machine and fix the webcam woes, there is nothing standing in its way. It has some of the best productivity performance among its rivals and dodges fan noises better than most. Battery life is impressive too. However, with a starting price in line with higher quality competition, at $1499/£1499, it falls short of being one of the best around. Those looking for a similar lightweight experience without the frustrating flaws on show here should opt for the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro, Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2022) and MacBook Air M2 (2022). The Prestige 13 falters when it comes to sporting a colorful panel, well-rounded speakers, and a competitive SSD. If you’re looking for any of the aforementioned features, we recommend picking up the Acer Swift 14, which impressed the hell out of us. Otherwise, if you want to stick to the lighter and smaller 13-inch form factor, the MSI Prestige 13 Evo is a good choice.

The MSI Prestige 13 EVO is by no means a bad laptop—in fact, its phenomenal trackpad, well-built body, and snappy processor made it a joy to use. Also, this thing weighs about two pounds, making it an excellent device for those who desperately need to get the smallest and lightest gear possible. It’s not at the top of its class, but it’s still a great experience and worth considering if you find it on sale. Its $1,500 price tag is mainly what bumps this laptop from a solid recommendation down to a maybe. Its chassis has the build quality to back up the price, but the 1080p display doesn’t cut it when most laptops over $1,000 have 2K or 4K displays (even OLED). The short battery life also hurts it, considering how much MSI marketed this laptop for travel and portability.

The MSI Prestige 13 Evo is a well-configured, well-performing, and well-weighted ultraportable that's not overpriced at $1,499, but it's not outstanding either. Business execs will be tempted by Lenovo's superlative ThinkPad X1 Carbon, while Apple iPhone and Apple Watch devotees will likely consider a MacBook first. As for consumers, you won't be able to help but eye two Editors' Choice winners from HP with more dazzling OLED displays. First, you have the HP Pavilion Plus 14, priced a couple of hundred bucks below the MSI, and then you'll see the HP Spectre x360 13.5, a convertible that costs a few hundred more but is worth it. The Prestige's lower screen resolution and awkward keyboard keep it from the top rank.

Avec son Prestige 13 AI, MSI propose un ultraportable qui coche presque toutes les cases. La machine est facile à transporter, son autonomie est excellente et ses performances sont largement suffisantes pour de la bureautique, voire un peu de création. MSI: Micro-Star International (MSI) a été fondée en 1986 à Taïwan. MSI est surtout connu comme fabricant de cartes mères et de cartes graphiques pour PC, mais propose également des accessoires informatiques, des systèmes complets, des cartes mères, des cartes graphiques, des ordinateurs portables, des PC de bureau, des moniteurs et d'autres composants. Cependant, la marque Microstar en Allemagne appartient à la société Medion. MSI est connu pour ses produits de jeu et a développé une large gamme d'ordinateurs portables de jeu et d'ordinateurs de bureau. L'entreprise est également active dans les postes de travail, les serveurs et l'automatisation industrielle. MSI possède des bureaux en Amérique du Nord, en Europe, en Asie et en Australie.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:

Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.

Intel Arc 8-Cores: Carte graphique intégrée basée sur l'architecture Xe LPG (similaire aux GPU Arc dédiés, mais axée sur l'efficacité). Fournit les 8 cœurs Xe (128 moteurs vectoriels Xe) et 8 unités de ray tracing.

i7-1360P: L'architecture de l'Alder-Lake est basée sur celle d'un processeur mobile haut de gamme. Il est doté de 4 barres de performance et de 8 barres d'efficacité et peut traiter 16 fils en même temps.

Intel Alder Lake-P:

Le processeur phare Alder Lake-P comporte 6 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Ce i7 est conçu pour être utilisé dans des ordinateurs portables ultra-légers ; ses cœurs de performance sont dotés de la technologie Hyper-Threading qui double les threads pour un total de 20 threads. Le processeur fonctionne de 1,3 GHz à 4,8 GHz et prend en charge les fonctions vPro du niveau "Entreprise". Le Core i7-1280P a un TDP de 28 W et un GPU Iris Xe intégré de 96 UE.

Intel Intel Meteor Lake-H:

Ultra 7 155H: Une puce Meteor Lake haut de gamme qui a fait ses débuts en décembre 2023. Ce processeur Core Ultra de 1ère génération est venu remplacer les puces Core de 13ème génération ; il dispose de 16 cœurs (6 + 8 + 2) et de 22 threads. Ses cœurs Performance, au nombre de 6, tournent jusqu'à 4,8 GHz tandis que ses cœurs Efficient, au nombre de 10 (8 cœurs principaux plus 2 supplémentaires trouvés dans l'îlot basse consommation) tournent jusqu'à 3,8 GHz. Le NPU AI Boost intégré offre deux moteurs Gen 3 pour l'accélération matérielle des charges de travail d'IA. La consommation d'énergie "minimale assurée" de ce processeur pour ordinateur portable est de 28 W, tandis que sa consommation d'énergie Turbo est censée rester inférieure à 115 W.
