L'Oppo Find X8 Ultra est aussi agréable que frustrant et son absence sur le marché français est un véritable crève-cœur. Même si la concurrence est rude sur le segment du très haut de gamme, il n'y a aucun doute sur le fait que le fleuron d'Oppo aurait eu des choses à dire et à proposer pour bousculer ses rivaux. Outre sa puissance et sa belle qualité de fabrication, il dispose d'un bloc photo particulièrement performant de jour comme de nuit. Le module principal est tout bonnement excellent et ce discours vaut aussi pour les capteurs secondaires, que ce soit l'ultra grand-angle ou les deux téléobjectifs. Au rayon des petits défauts, on note une tendance à chauffer lorsqu'il est poussé dans ses retranchements... mais son plus gros problème reste qu'il ne soit pas officiellement disponible dans l'Hexagone. Pour se consoler, on se dira que le partenariat fructueux avec Hasselblad se poursuit, laissant espérer que le futur Find X9 Ultra marquera le grand retour du fleuron d'Oppo en France.

Had Oppo launched the Find X8 Ultra worldwide, it would surely have scored a full five stars here. This is an exceptional smartphone, with some of the best rear cameras you’ll find anywhere. Regardless of zoom level and lighting conditions, this is a photography powerhouse that shows what can be achieved when you go all out on top-tier sensor hardware. The silicon-carbon battery also has outstanding staying power, even when tasked with powering Qualcomm’s fastest silicon and an impressively bright display. Sadly, though, it’s only on sale in China. Even if you went to the trouble of importing one, the software won’t play nicely with some things Western devices take for granted, like pairing with Wear OS watches, Gemini voice commands, and Circle to Search. You’ll never truly be able to strip out all the region-specific apps and settings, either. As the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is more readily available in Europe and beyond, it’s simply easier to recommend to keen phone photographers.

Performance is powerful, and while the phone isn't conservative with the 6,100mAh battery, it does keep plugging away all day. But cameras are where this Ultra phone really shines, and Oppo's four (five, including the True Chroma camera) are something spectacular.

It improves on an already excellent camera system, adding refinement and polish at both ends of the zoom range, while also taking much needed strides towards camera hump compactness (it's obviously all relative, of course). Perfectionists would always find grounds for complaint, but they'd need to look long and hard here. Oppo's push for bringing size down is manifested in other areas too, and the handset is reasonably thin, but is still premium as ever, and dust and water-tight as much as the best in the business. Battery life didn't suffer in the process and neither did fast charging, so that's a couple more wins.

Yes, it isn’t launching globally, so you’ll need to import it rather than buy it from an established local retailer, but it’s the first time I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend doing so. It’s the best Oppo phone ever made and one of the best phones you can buy now.

The only negative with the Find X8 Ultra has to do with the software; the Chinese version of ColorOS has too many inconsistencies to be usable outside the country — particularly if you want to use Google services. That's why it's annoying that the device won't be debuting in global markets; OPPO has to do better in this area, and launch its best products to a wider audience. Other than that, there isn't anything to fault with the device. It has a great AMOLED panel, the best hardware currently available, standout battery life with the best charging tech in the industry, and the best cameras. The main 1-inch camera continues to be a delight to use in 2025, and the auxiliary lenses are among the best of any phone I used this year. The Find X8 Ultra does a fantastic job with videos as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed using the phone.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
