Entre jeux et création graphique, le Galaxy Book3 Ultra arrive à couvrir une large plage d’usages. Il est bien plus qu’un PC portable classique qui tend vers l’ultraportable. C’est une véritable station de travail portable, prometteuse et polyvalente. Elle bénéficie du saut technologique générationnel aussi bien du côté d'Intel que de Nvidia. Néanmoins, il est difficile de ne pas constater rapidement ses quelques limites, en matière de puissance bien sûr, mais aussi d’autonomie. Dès lors, on peut s’interroger sur la pertinence d’opter pour une RTX 4070 et pour un Core i9-13900H, si c’est ensuite pour les brider sévèrement. En définitive, on se retrouve à saluer les performances élevées, mais à regretter que Samsung empêche les composants retenus de donner leur plein potentiel. En naît une sorte de frustration, qui pourrait être apaisée par ce qu'apporte malgré tout le Galaxy Book3 Ultra, mais qui est parallèlement renforcée par le surcoût réel que représentent ces puces. Performances, polyvalence et frustrations vont ainsi main dans la main, preuve peut-être que Samsung a trouvé un point d'équilibre juste… Après tout, le géant coréen a clairement annoncé la couleur : il veut être l’Apple des PC.

On regrettera tout de même une puissance bridée qui ne permet pas au PC de s’exprimer pleinement et une autonomie en retrait. Passé ces écueils, c’est une réussite. L'un des meilleurs ultra-portable avec carte graphique du marché.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is a fine choice for creators. The 3K screen provides excellent colour accuracy, the graphics performance is enough to tackle heavy workloads and it’s portable enough to take on your travels. Is it good enough to thwart the MacBook Pro? Not quite. Apple’s laptop offers superior battery life, a marginally better performance and a more luxurious design. Nevertheless, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra runs it close, and is one of the best attempts I’ve seen from a Windows laptop in the creativity market. The high price is a problem, however, costing upwards of £3000/$3000 if you want the best specs for a high performance. The Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED represents better value and the Razer Blade 16 can be found with similar specs at a cheaper price. Le Galaxy Book 3 Ultra que nous n’avons pas encore vu se veut plus salivant que jamais. Il reprend les mêmes traits que le Galaxy Book 3 Pro, mais intègre un Core i7 H avec une Nvidia RTX 4050 ou, pour aller encore plus loin, un Core i9 H avec une RTX 4070 à bord. Le nom n’a ainsi pas été choisi au hasard. Samsung veut vraiment être identifié en un claquement de doigts sur le terme Ultra pour bien faire comprendre qu’il joue dans la cour des grands et que cela ne vaut pas que pour les smartphones. Toutefois, face aux MacBook Pro M2 Pro d’Apple, tout cela sera-t-il suffisant ?

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro is an excellent laptop, owing to its impressively thin-and-light body, high-quality feel and decent selection of ports. A luxurious display takes this machine to another level, especially against some performance-focused rivals. It hasn’t fallen at the keyboard hurdles either, with the keys offering surprisingly good travel and satisfying feedback. If you’re a Samsung fan, there’s little to turn you away. It’s not perfect though. Those looking for a more complete Windows package should look to the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2022), an all-rounder that hits many of the same notes but lacks some of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro laptop’s luxury. Those wanting performance, strong battery life and high-quality materials, as well as quieter fans, should look to the MacBook Air (2022). This Samsung laptop may not be the best thin-and-light machine around but, amongst strong competition, it’s earned a spot in the conversation.

All of which brings us to what is a rather mixed verdict for the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro, at least the Core i5 model tested here. While the design is lovely and the screen exemplary, the performance levels are middling while the fan is a little noisy. In addition, the battery life is a far cry from the long-lasting M2 MacBook Air. The screen is so good, though, that the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro remains right up there with the best Windows ultraportables you can buy right now. If you’re tempted, my advice is to consider spending the extra on the Core i7 machine, which also comes with more RAM and double the storage – a design of this quality deserves the components to match.

We were also very impressed with the thermal management, keeping things cool is no mean feat in such a slim chassis, but Samsung has done an admirable job here. The battery life is a bit of a letdown on this model, possibly owing to the massive high-resolution OLED display, but if you don't mind carrying a (thankfully petite) charger with you, it's still serviceable. It's undeniably a pricey machine, finding itself deep in MacBook territory, but its performance and built quality go a long way towards justifying this. If you're the type of person who doesn't mind spending a little extra to get a premium look and feel, we think you'll be very pleased with the Galaxy Book 3 Pro.

Le design du Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 est un modèle du genre et le niveau de finition est remarquable. La qualité de l’écran AMOLED 16 pouces est à l’avenant et la puissance du processeur Intel 1360P renforce encore l’attrait exercé par une conception « convertible » qui permet de l’utiliser à la manière d’un portable classique, à la manière d’une tablette ou comme une outil de présentation. Le stylet et la fréquence de rafraîchissement de 120Hz apportent un surcroît de confort par rapport à la version 2022 du portable laquelle offrait toutefois une autonomie bien supérieure aux 8 heures du modèle de cette année. Samsung paie ici la gourmandise de son écran que l’augmentation de la batterie ne peut compenser, malgré un poids supérieur de 250 grammes environ. Si vous avez le budget, le Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 est un bon choix d’autant qu’il a très peu de concurrents sur le marché. Hélas, Samsung est encore un peu plus élitiste qu’avec la version de l’an dernier et à plus de 2 000 euros, il y aura sans doute beaucoup de candidats pour peu d’élus.

Its refined design makes the laptop look and feel like a regular full-sized laptop, yet the display can rotate through 360-degrees, and the bundled S Pen turns it into an artist’s delight. The key component here is the new 16in AMOLED display. With a 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, it’s as fluid as it is sharp and vibrant. Performance doesn’t let the side down, though the battery will barely get you through a working day. Making full use of that beautiful 120Hz AMOLED display will really take its toll, too. It’s a shame the typing and trackpad experience isn’t quite at the elite level, meaning power users will still benefit from going for a non-convertible option over this one. But Samsung has produced its best 2-in-1 yet, without doubt.

I do not have many complaints about the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, but Samsung has a monumental task of convincing customers to go for this l expensive laptop, especially given the global economy. The highlight of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 is its portable and stylish design as well as the stunning display. Performance-wise, you won't face many issues, though there are notebooks on the market with more powerful GPUs and CPUs for a much more affordable price. As I mentioned earlier, Samsung is not oblivious to these challenges, and the company is positioning its notebook for productivity-focused customers who value a great display, reliable performance, and long battery life. To an extent, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 ticks all these boxes, but the laptop makes more sense to buy if you're already in the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. Otherwise, the M2 MacBook Pro is a great choice if productivity is your priority. If you want a powerhouse at the cost of a good battery and sleek design, the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED can be on your list. In the next generation, Samsung may consider improving the audio system, the placement of the trackpad, and reducing the bezels. Until then, the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 is a good reminder of the things money can buy.

If you're looking for the best convertible Windows notebook for illustration and artwork on the market today, it's still Microsoft's Surface Laptop Studio. If you're just looking for the illustration and artwork features in a tablet, you're going to want to hit up the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, or even a member of the Galaxy Tab S7 family. They're ready to roll.

Yes, the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 performs well (although not as well as expected given its 13th-gen Intel CPU), gets great battery life, and enjoys a gorgeous OLED display. We see a lot of laptops which easily push north of $2,000 just by banking on a few new features. Here, Samsung’s Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 justifies its value with many more, on top of a somewhat reasonable price tag. For what you’re paying, the Book3 Pro 360 offers substantial upgrades over the Book2 Pro 360 as well as some best-of-class features, period. Even if you aren’t as in love with OLEDs as we are, the higher resolution OLED and refresh rate certainly help sell this laptop. Inking, the convertible form factor, its solid audio and webcam experience, and its presence as a 13th-gen Core Evo laptop do too. Buying a Samsung laptop to accompany a Samsung Galaxy phone is an ultimately less compelling need. We do think that the Book3 series offers something unique that maybe only the Asus Vivobook and Zenbook series seem to be consciously addressing: laptops focused on showing off content first and foremost. (Consider the Vivobook Pro 16 OLED as an alternative until we manage to test the latest offerings.) For all it brings to the table, Samsung’s Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 earns one of our first Editor’s Choice awards of 2023.

On imagine que le constructeur a cherché à trouver le même ratio de performance et d'autonomie que les MacBook Pro sous M2, mais ça n'est tout simplement pas possible en l'état. Mieux aurait valu chercher une configuration moins gourmande en énergie, mais plus équilibrée, ou assumer d'utiliser ces composants à leur plein potentiel. En l'état ? Le Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra est un PC portable qu'il est impossible de recommander. Pour son prix de 3899 euros, toutes les configurations rivales respectent ses composants et offrent le même niveau de finition. Le Razer Blade 16 est un meilleur rapport qualité/prix que cette machine, c'est dire. C'est bien dommage, car on aimerait voir plus d'acteurs viser les créatifs et jouer des bras avec Apple. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is definitely the finest built laptops with a serious dedicated GPU. It really packs a punch for such a thin and light package. Don't forget to check out the gorgeous OLED display. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra is really solid, however for the price there are better bang-for-buck laptops if you're merely looking for performance and do not care to much about the aesthetic or build quality of your laptop.

I'll be frank. My initial impressions of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra were not great. I ran into software bugs and weird performance problems, not to mention poor battery life and general discomfort while typing. But Samsung has since issued software updates that fixed the few bugs I ran into. I figured out that I needed to switch the display to 60Hz and run in optimized mode to get a good battery-life-to-performance ratio, and gaming performance is now stellar once I realized that Nvidia DLSS works magic on RTX GPUs. While I wish some of these things were a little more obvious out of the box, this sort of tweaking isn't uncommon on Windows machines. On the positive side, all of the unique Samsung Galaxy ecosystem features were as plug-and-play as I could have possibly hoped for. Linking my phone and earbuds was effortless, and I can now use my Tab S7 as a second screen while I'm traveling so I don't have to lose my second monitor productivity. In a nutshell, the things that make the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra unique are the things that work really, really well, and that's a testament to how good of a device Samsung has built. I just wish it worked with an S Pen.

Ultimately, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra starts at $2,200 for the Intel Core i7, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage configuration. That's a big price for a big laptop, but if we're comparing it with its closest Apple alternative, then Samsung is undercutting the 16-inch MacBook Pro (M2) by about $300. And in Samsung's defense, it's giving you a lot for the money, including a dedicated graphics card, one of the best-looking laptop displays on the market, and an uncompromising keyboard experience. The only notable shortcomings are the glossy screen, the obnoxiously large trackpad, and the moderate battery life.

Est-il UN excellent choix de PC portable conçu pour la productivité ? Oui, assurément. Même si vous êtes fâché avec les livres, ce « Book3 Pro » pourrait bien vous réconcilier avec la lecture ! Le superbe écran AMOLED offre un grand confort visuel. Associé à un clavier et à un trackpad des plus larges, il contribue à faire de cet ordinateur une machine agréable, sur laquelle on a envie de travailler longtemps. C’est précisément ce qu’elle nous promet, grâce à sa configuration immuable, mais équilibrée, qui a le mérite de performer dans la durée. Le Galaxy Book3 Pro n’est pas le plus surpuissant des PC portables, mais c’est l’un des plus fidèles : vous pourrez compter sur lui pour être au meilleur de sa forme, tout au long de la journée. Cette dernière pourra se dérouler sur batterie si vous vous contentez de tâches courantes, mais on vous conseillera tout de même de garder à portée de main le chargeur de la bête. Ceci ne devrait pas être difficile, tant ce bloc secteur est petit, compact et léger — à l’image du PC tout entier, en somme.

Performant, il ajoute une bonne autonomie et se fond parfaitement dans l’écosystème Galaxy. On apprécie aussi sa connectique plutôt complète et sa légèreté. Sans véritable défaut majeur, il ne se distingue pourtant pas vraiment sur le plan des performances ou de l’autonomie. Plutôt que de se lancer la course à la surenchère, préfère l’équilibre pour partir à l'assaut des professionnels. La mention « Pro » de ce Galaxy Book3 n'est pas usurpée, mais il n'a pas été pensée pour ceux qui effectuent des travaux lourds au quotidien. Samsung has once again delivered a high-quality ultrabook that doesn’t quite manage to unseat the MacBook Pro but nonetheless offers strong performance in productivity workloads and an absolutely stellar AMOLED screen. I’d have liked to see better specs available for the Intel Core i5 model of the Galaxy Book3 Pro 14-inch, however, and the battery life is just okay.

Samsung is keen to make the Galaxy Book computers part of its ecosystem of Galaxy mobiles, tablets and accessories. So there’s a bunch of apps and features that enable this. You can quickly share media with other Galaxy devices, expand the screen of a Galaxy tablet, and control different devices from each other. It’s smart and convenient if you have the right gadgets around. I tested several of the features with a Galaxy Z Fold 5 I have in for testing, and they work as promised. I still haven’t figured out how to use them, but perhaps my lack of imagination is the limit. Samsung also has its own suite of programs that are intended to add value to the computer, but I’m more doubtful about what they actually add. Samsung Gallery is an image viewing program where Windows already has two good ones.

Ce Galaxy Book3 Pro est une sorte de MacBook Air façon PC. Élégant, il dispose d’un des meilleurs écrans du moment et ses performances seront largement suffisantes pour se divertir et pour travailler. Pour autant, sa puissance brute ne lui permettra pas d’assouvir les besoins des créatifs pointus. Pour cela, il faudra se tourner vers le modèle Ultra du constructeur. Bien que sa charge soit un peu lente et que son autonomie eusse dû friser l’excellence, et non «juste » le bon, Samsung propose un produit équilibré qui ne possède pas de défauts majeurs. Pour un possesseur de smartphone Galaxy, le Galaxy Book3 Pro prend une saveur encore plus particulière, puisqu’il propose un écosystème complet. Sur ce point, Samsung est à ce jour le seul constructeur à pouvoir proposer une alternative viable et de qualité à Apple. En tout cas, le retour de Samsung dans le monde des ultrabooks n’augure, pour le moment, que du bon pour la suite.

80% Samsung Galaxy Book 3 review: a great laptop if the price is right

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 is less consistent than we'd like in areas, but the lower-end models sure do provide a classy experience on a tighter budget. It has the Samsung style we associate with more expensive laptops, and for many folks the basic spec will do the job just fine. That's where this laptop is a winner. Thanks to higher upgrade costs than you'd usually see from Lenovo or Acer, however, the shortcomings do start to stick out more if you pay for a specced-up model. That's where this laptop loses, as that includes poor colour saturation, a highly flexible keyboard plate, and a plastic touchpad surface. In summary, therefore, if you can find the Galaxy Book 3 in its entry-level spec for a bargain price then it's got the style to punch well above the competition. Just don't pay extra for the step-up models which then fall down in various areas where Samsung's other models in the range would do a better job – as would the competition.

All in all, the Galaxy Book 3 is a bit of a mixed bag. There are things that I love about it, the build quality and styling are top-notch, the speakers are good and the performance is great. The port selection is also above average and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity is nice to have. However, a lot of corners have been cut to hit its more accessible price point. The display is fine, but at 1080p resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate, it's far from impressive. The keyboard has no backlight, and at this price, that's borderline unacceptable. The webcam is also very middle-of-the-road, as is the battery life. On the whole, it's a decent laptop. It performs excellently, it's slim and lightweight, and it feels like a quality piece of kit. But for the model that I tested, with a retail price approaching £900, it doesn't do much to separate itself from the competition.

Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.

Carte graphique haut de gamme pour ordinateurs portables basée sur l'architecture Ada Lovelace. Offre 8 GB GDDR6 (128 Bit) et est configurable avec un TGP de 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost). 

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs:

Ces cartes graphiques de milieu de gamme peuvent faire tourner tout les jeux récents de façon fluide. Les jeux gourmands ne peuvent être joués qu'avec les détails réglés sur moyen.

Intel Raptor Lake-U:

i5-1335U: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 2 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs efficaces. Les cœurs de performance offrent un hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 12 threads. La fréquence du processeur varie de 0,9 à 4,6 GHz. Le TDP est spécifié à 15 watts.

i7-1355U: L'architecture de l'Alder-Lake est basée sur celle d'un processeur automobile haut de gamme. Il est doté de 2 cellules de performance et de 8 cellules d'efficacité et peut supporter 12 threads en même temps. La puissance maximale du moteur P est de 5 GHz.
