Il dispose d’une confortable puissance de traitement et d’une très bonne autonomie. On apprécie également la qualité de son écran ainsi que la possibilité de le transformer en tablette. La machine s’intègre parfaitement dans l’écosystème Samsung et offre des fonctions de continuité efficace, très proches de ce qu’offre Apple, référence absolue en la matière. Bref, un quasi-sans-faute à peine écorné une dalle au format 16/10ème faisant la part belle aux bordures noires qui l’entourent (notamment la partie basse).

We’ve seen a lot of interesting new ultrabooks released in 2024, and while the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 doesn’t traverse much in the way of new ground, it remains an excellent Windows laptop for those after a Windows-based alternative to a MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen and convertible powers. To all intents and purposes, it looks like a MacBook Pro with an aluminium frame and reasonably similar input selection, while its large 16-inch AMOLED panel comes with deep blacks, a responsive touchscreen and seriously accurate colours. In addition, its Intel Lunar Lake chip is also rather beefy, and its recorded battery life is exceptionally close to Apple’s own claims.

And the keyboard is really disappointing. For those that really like the idea of a large-format laptop that is still easy to pack around, however, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 delivers just enough value to make it worthy of recommendation.

Still, for many people, this machine is exactly what the doctor ordered: A traditional Intel-powered laptop that can run x86 software with no compatibility concerns, incredibly long battery life, and even more graphics horsepower than you might expect.

Switching to Lunar Lake power has also graced the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 with considerably better battery life, while also upping its AI and graphics muscle. However, it doesn’t make any effort to fix the flaws of the previous generation. There’s still nowhere to properly stow the S Pen while on the move, and the keyboard will absolutely divide opinion. Samsung’s software suite might be extensive, but a lot of it will be lost on you if you don’t own a Galaxy smartphone, and desktop performance hasn’t really improved enough to justify an upgrade from the previous generation.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro is a real treat to use, ticking all the boxes you want in a laptop: a pleasing design, plenty of performance power, battery life that'll get you through the day, a quality screen, and a keyboard and trackpad that are responsive and a pleasure to use. Add in plenty of connectivity options and decent sound, and this is clearly one of the best lightweight laptops around at the moment. Unless you're a creative professional or gamer who needs the highest levels of PC performance right now, then Galaxy Book 5 Pro will appeal if you're in the market for a new laptop. The pricing is competitive too: far from the budget end of the spectrum, but also reasonable considering what you get in return. More configuration options in terms of processor, memory and storage options can be tweaked to match how much you've got to spend, and there are two different screen sizes to pick from.

Aside from that, the main concern is the price. This is a fairly premium laptop experience overall, but the retail price of $1,649 is still on the high side for a laptop. More importantly, the 360 model is only $50 more at $1,699 and it includes a 360-degree hinge as a well as a bundled S Pen. For an extra $50, it’s hard to argue with that value.

Le Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360 sait offrir les deux points les plus importants pour la plupart des utilisateurs de PC portables : un écran sublime et une autonomie optimisée. Cette dalle AMOLED parfaitement calibrée est si chatoyante pour les yeux, mais il faut aussi avouer qu'elle manque un peu de luminosité et de services supplémentaires pour être au niveau des concurrents. Son autonomie de plus de 20 heures est exceptionnelle, mais se fait au coût d'une puissance bridée pour tenir une chauffe maîtrisée. Si ces deux points ne sont pas bloquants pour vous, alors le Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360 vous mettra des étoiles dans les yeux par la qualité de sa fabrication, même en transformable. Le Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360 sait offrir les deux points les plus importants pour la plupart des utilisateurs de PC portables : un écran sublime et une autonomie optimisée. Cette dalle AMOLED parfaitement calibrée est si chatoyante pour les yeux, mais il faut aussi avouer qu'elle manque un peu de luminosité et de services supplémentaires pour être au niveau des concurrents. Son autonomie de plus de 20 heures est exceptionnelle, mais se fait au coût d'une puissance bridée pour tenir une chauffe maîtrisée. Si ces deux points ne sont pas bloquants pour vous, alors le Samsung Galaxy Book 5 360 vous mettra des étoiles dans les yeux par la qualité de sa fabrication, même en transformable. Mais si vous cherchez la meilleure polyvalence, il n'est pas le plus impressionnant du marché actuellement.

Le Galaxy Book 4 360 était une franche déception, d'une certaine manière, le Galaxy Book 5 360 l'est aussi. L’appareil s’améliore toutefois par rapport à son prédécesseur en parvenant à développer, malgré tout, un niveau de performances supérieur pour une autonomie pratiquement doublée. Comme par le passé, Samsung nous régale sur la qualité d’assemblage et les finitions de ce nouveau modèle, et s’en tient également à la technologie d’affichage OLED, globalement inégalée en matière de contraste. Sur tout le reste, le Galaxy Book 5 360 est par contre désespérant. Vendu beaucoup trop cher (vraiment), l’appareil s’en tient à un format 16:9 complètement démodé, à une définition Full HD insuffisante en 2025 pour sa diagonale de 15,6 pouces, et ne parvient pas à offrir les performances que nous attendions de sa puce.

Samsung: Le groupe Samsung est le plus grand conglomérat sud-coréen et a été fondé en 1938. Le groupe Samsung employait 489 000 personnes en 2014 et est l'une des plus grandes entreprises au monde en termes de chiffre d'affaires et de force de marché. Le nom Samsung signifie "Trois étoiles" en coréen et représente les trois fils du fondateur de l'entreprise. L'entreprise a été fondée en 1938 en tant qu'épicerie. Avec sa filiale Samsung Electronics, fondée en 1969, Samsung s'est lancé très tôt dans la production d'articles électrotechniques, en se concentrant sur l'électronique grand public et l'électroménager. Les autres branches dans lesquelles la grande entreprise est active comprennent la construction mécanique, l'automobile (Hyundai), l'assurance, le commerce de gros, l'immobilier et les loisirs. Samsung fabrique une large gamme de produits électroniques, notamment des smartphones, des téléviseurs, des appareils électroménagers et des semi-conducteurs. Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.
Intel Arc 140V: Un adaptateur graphique intégré assez rapide que certains processeurs Intel Lunar Lake utiliseraient. La 140V possède 8 cœurs d'architecture Xe² fonctionnant jusqu'à 2 050 MHz et 8 unités de ray tracing ; elle est compatible avec DirectX 12 Ultimate et prend également en charge tous les codecs vidéo modernes. Si l'on en croit les récentes fuites de résultats de tests, ses performances de jeu devraient être légèrement supérieures à celles de la MX570 de GeForce.
Intel Arc 130V: Adaptateur graphique intégré utilisé par les processeurs Intel Lunar Lake bas de gamme. Il s'agit du successeur direct de l'iGPU Arc 7 ; il dispose de 7 cœurs d'architecture Xe² fonctionnant jusqu'à 1 850 MHz et de 7 unités de ray tracing. Nous nous attendons à ce que le 130V soit à peu près aussi rapide que la Radeon 780M pour des taux d'images jouables dans la plupart des jeux 2023 et certains jeux 2024 en 1080p avec des paramètres graphiques bas.
