Le Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) offre un design plus élégant que la génération précédente et propose maintenant un lecteur d'empreintes digitales. Dans l'ensemble, il s'agit d'une version améliorée, capable de satisfaire des utilisateurs non exigeants (les joueurs éviteront cet appareil). L'autonomie est également une bonne surprise, tout comme son écran ou la qualité des selfies.

Grâce à cette montée en gamme, Samsung rattrape une partie de son retard pris sur les constructeurs low-cost et chinois, lesquels sont plus agressifs sur les segments compris entre 90 euros et 250 euros. Chez eux, les chipsets octo-core, les lecteurs d’empreinte et les châssis entièrement métalliques étaient déjà présents depuis un an (voir un peu plus pour Meizu). Reste encore à monter un peu plus la définition de l’écran. Mais pour cela, Samsung devra aussi monter la RAM. Voire même changer de chipset. Ce qui reviendrait à entrer en concurrence avec la gamme A. Ce que la firme ne veut évidemment pas...

Malgré sa puissance toujours limitée, le Galaxy J5 progresse dans tous les domaines. Il bénéficie de meilleures finitions, d’un bel écran, d’une qualité photo très honorable et d’une autonomie exceptionnelle. A 279 euros, il devient l’une des valeurs sûres à ce niveau de de prix. Mais il n’est pas pour autant le seul. A 249 euros, le Huawei P8 Lite (2017) pourra séduire par son design en verre, au même titre que le Galaxy A3 (2016), dont le prix est descendu sous la barre des 250 euros. Les amateurs de photo pourront aussi miser sur le Moto G5 Plus, vendu à 279 euros.

En conclusion, le Galaxy J5 dans sa version 2017 demeure un appareil convaincant, ses performances sont honorables, l'interface est plaisante et l'appareil photo s'en sort convenablement (en plein jour). C'est un smartphone équilibré qui offre toujours un bon rapport qualité / prix et qui ne devrait pas décevoir. Un choix raisonnable si vous recherchez un smartphone sous la barre des 300€.

Really quite an impressive low-cost smartphone with a lot of bang for your buck. Arguably one of the best budget handsets on the market thanks to Samsung's mastery of Super AMOLED display technology and some sterling battery performance, both of which put it ahead of rivals such as the Moto G, while in other areas it's quite comparable with that very capable handset. The trade-off, however, is that the Moto G does get stock Android and timely updates, while Samsung's Galaxy J5 has TouchWiz on-top and requires a bit of extra fettling between software versions.

Samsung: Le groupe Samsung est le plus grand conglomérat sud-coréen et a été fondé en 1938. Le groupe Samsung employait 489 000 personnes en 2014 et est l'une des plus grandes entreprises au monde en termes de chiffre d'affaires et de force de marché. Le nom Samsung signifie "Trois étoiles" en coréen et représente les trois fils du fondateur de l'entreprise. L'entreprise a été fondée en 1938 en tant qu'épicerie. Avec sa filiale Samsung Electronics, fondée en 1969, Samsung s'est lancé très tôt dans la production d'articles électrotechniques, en se concentrant sur l'électronique grand public et l'électroménager. Les autres branches dans lesquelles la grande entreprise est active comprennent la construction mécanique, l'automobile (Hyundai), l'assurance, le commerce de gros, l'immobilier et les loisirs. Samsung fabrique une large gamme de produits électroniques, notamment des smartphones, des téléviseurs, des appareils électroménagers et des semi-conducteurs. La gamme de smartphones Galaxy de la société est l'une des plus populaires au monde. Ses cartes graphiques ne sont pas faites pour le jeu. Et même si ils tournent, ce sera avec des erreurs d'affichage et un framerate ignoble. Ce cartes graphique sont totalement incompatible avec les joueurs! les applications de bureau et d'Internet, ne sont pas un problème pour ces cartes graphiques.

Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.
