EN→FRSo, should you buy the iQOO 15R? I’d say, if you’re looking for a phone to play games, then te iQOO 15R is a very good choice for that purpose. It also comes with a massive battery and a great screen, so we can play games at high frame rates for a longer period of time while enjoying great visuals too. However, do keep in mind that the iQOO 15R has to do some cost-cutting to achieve this price point. First, the cameras. They are absolutely terrible. Secondly, it’s USB 2 and also does not have display output capability. Most people won’t care about it but this also means SSDs are going to be very slow when connected to the iQOO 15R.

I've been testing the Vivo IQOO 15R for a few days now so here's my verdict, and check out my round-up of best mid-range smartphones for more ideas! Gamers are one of the main targets for this smartphone, even though the regular 15 phone's Elite chipset has been replaced with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This still proves more than enough grunt for Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact, so the IQOO 15R can keep you gaming for ages on the top graphics settings. That's helped by the OriginOS gamer toolbar and the capable cooling system. Battery life is another highlight of this Vivo phone. You can play games for the best part of an afternoon on a single charge of the 7600mAh battery stuffed in the IQOO 15R. And with general mixed use, you can enjoy a full weekend of action without plugging this smartphone in. 100W fast charging means you should never be left dry.

EN→FRThe iQOO 15R feels like a true resurrection of the "flagship killer" spirit, prioritising raw speed, smoothness, and endurance over trying to do everything at once. It feels consistently quick, the display makes every interaction fluid, and the battery life removes the usual anxiety that comes with performance-heavy smartphones. It isn't flawless, however. The cameras are reliable rather than groundbreaking, and the software experience isn't without any unessential apps. But none of them is major enough to ring alarm bells. If your priority is something that stays fast, lasts long, and handles everything you throw at it without complaint, the iQOO 15R is a top-shelf recommendation. The OnePlus 15R (review) is its main rival, offering a similar experience, while the Vivo V70 will be a better fit for photography enthusiasts, owing to its Zeiss optics.

EN→FRThe iQOO 15R might not have one marquee feature singing for it, but it is a phone that is almost a complete package. It has no real weakness. At least on the basics — display, build quality, design, and main camera — it offers incredibly value to consumers. On battery life it totally excels. I wish it had a slightly sharper set of cameras but even on cameras, it is not shabby at all. Overall, this is a phone that we over here at India Today Tech can recommend if you are looking to buy one around Rs 50,000.

EN→FRThe iQOO 15R remains a strong value-for-money performance phone that gets most fundamentals right and then pushes battery endurance far beyond what most competitors offer. However, if thermal efficiency, camera realism, or a cleaner software experience matter more to you, alternatives such as the OnePlus 15R (review) may be worth considering.

EN→FRAt a starting price of Rs 44,999, the iQOO 15R is a solid smartphone in this price segment. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the phone is capable of running all tasks smoothly. When it comes to gamers, the big display, powerful processor and a long lasting battery, the iQOO 15R is a delight to have. At sub-Rs 45,000, it is surely a great option to go for. But the choice is yours; for the Indian market, it is a moderately expensive phone.

EN→FRStarting at Rs 44,999, the iQOO 15R is the cheapest smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, ensuring speedy performance. In fact, the handset is the most powerful smartphone you can get for its price. That flagship-grade performance is backed by dependable 144Hz gaming support and genuinely excellent endurance that comfortably outlasts most rivals in the segment and beyond. The 7,600mAh battery isn’t just a spec-sheet flex; it translates into two days of use for moderate users and impressive sustained performance for gamers, especially when bypass charging is in play.

EN→FRThe Vivo iQOO 15R was announced on February 24, 2026, and is expected to release on March 1, 2026. At first look, it feels like a proper flagship with a slim 7.9 mm body and a premium build. You get a glass front, an aluminum alloy frame, and either a glass or fiber-reinforced plastic back. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it can handle dust, splashes, and even high-pressure water jets. The 6.59-inch AMOLED display is one of its biggest highlights. It supports 1 billion colors, a super smooth 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and an impressive 5000 nits peak brightness. The resolution of 1260 x 2750 pixels with around 459 ppi makes content look sharp and vibrant.

EN→FRI have been using the iQOO 15R for close to 20 days now, and as I mentioned earlier, this phone doesn’t just exist for the sake of it; it feels deliberate. To count its pros, the iQOO 15R brings flagship-grade performance into a comfortable size. It delivers one of the best displays in its class. Battery life is excellent. The software experience is smooth. Haptics and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor add polish. Yes, the ultra-wide camera could be better. A telephoto lens would have made more sense. USB 3.2 would have been a welcome addition. But when you step back and look at the bigger picture, for someone who wants serious performance around the Rs 50,000 price point, this phone makes a lot of sense. And with the added 8 GB + 256 GB variant at Rs 44,999, it becomes even more accessible.

EN→FRThis concludes my iQOO 15R’s battery analysis, and it’s clear that the smartphone doesn’t just boast the largest battery in its class – it actually makes full use of it. From strong benchmark numbers to efficient real-world drain, dependable two-day endurance, and rapid 100W charging, the handset delivers on all fronts. The smartphone’s full worth will be analysed once we test it on all fronts. However, in the current scenario, the handset is worth buying for anyone who has long gaming sessions and back-to-back binge-watching marathons as part of their routine. The handset packs a promising hardware lineup, including the sub-flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, a 6.5k large VC cooling system, and a relatively compact 6.59-inch AMOLED display that offers 1.5k resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 5,000 nits peak brightness.

EN→FRPriced at Rs 44,999, the iQOO 15R becomes an easy recommendation now that the software experience has been properly refined. It looks premium, delivers strong battery endurance, offers reliable performance, and the cameras are also quite capable for casual photography. To address the question we raised earlier, the iQOO 15R does come across as the stronger overall choice when compared to the OnePlus 15R.
