J’ai une excellente nouvelle pour votre compte en banque : vous ne devez absolument pas l’acheter. Puisqu’Oppo a décidé de ne pas le sortir en France, il faudrait passer par la case import à près de 2000 euros. Alors j’ai décidé de vous faire économiser cette somme. C’est probablement l’un des meilleurs pliants du moment, mais l’impossibilité de l’acheter normalement en Europe en fait un objet de curiosité plutôt qu’une recommandation d’achat. Qu’est-ce qui empêche la marque de tenter le marché occidental ? En attendant, le Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 reste le pliant de référence accessible en France, avec One UI et son écosystème maîtrisé. Le Honor Magic V5 (en attendant le V6), lui aussi disponible en Europe, offre une finesse comparable et un logiciel plus propre. Et le Pixel 10 Pro Fold de Google propose un zoom supérieur et un traitement photo en basse lumière encore devant. On apprécie surtout la sobriété de l’interface Google, mais c’est une histoire de goût.

On ne l’attendait pas et c'est notre vraie surprise de ce début d'année 2026. On pensait que l’univers des smartphones pliants avait sans doute atteint son pic d'innovation l'année dernière et surtout, on pensait quil était impossible de faire disparaitre la pliure des smartphones type “livre”, c'était sans compter sur l’ingéniosité des constructeurs et c'est tant mieux pour les consommateurs. The Oppo Find N6 is a firm, no-question must-buy. The design is durable, ergonomic, and attractive. The Zero-Feel Crease is a genuine improvement and a clever piece of engineering. The software gets multitasking right, the overall performance is excellent, it charges really fast, and the camera takes great photos. I used the Find N6 for 10 days in February, and then for another eight days in March, and each time I’ve only changed because I had to put my SIM in another phone. I’m going to swap again once this review is done, but if I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t. The Find N6 has won me over due to the work done to solve common foldable phone pain points. It means I can more easily concentrate on the things that make a big foldable so desirable, like video, games, and photo editing. Unfortunately, Oppo’s making it rather hard to buy the Find N6 anywhere outside Asia or Australia. Great if you live there, not so good if you don’t.

The Oppo Find N6 is my new favourite foldable. Last year’s model felt like Oppo’s first foldable flagship that was slim and light enough to actually replace my bar phone, and the N6 doubles down on that, as well as improves on a few of last year's weaknesses with enhanced cameras and a nearly invisible (in most lights) crease. Phone performance is excellent, powering through creative tasks, with a battery that lasts all day, and often a little more. I also continue to think Oppo makes some of the nicest smartphone software around. The cameras are also impressive enough that I never felt regret that I was just carrying a foldable. Oppo’s continued Hasselblad partnership and Lumo image engine produce really nice colors with balanced HDR and a good amount of detail, especially from the new 200MP sensor. Still, the Find N6 does not quite rewrite the rules.

If you’re willing to import, the Find N6 is one of the most complete foldable options around – it’s just a shame that, for most people, it’ll remain more aspirational than attainable. The Find N6 has done more to make flexible screens appear seamless than any rival, yet hasn’t made any serious compromises to achieve it. If anything, Oppo has ironed out the few kinks its predecessor (which was still one of my favourite phones from the previous foldable generation) had, by adding an ultrawide camera that can genuinely keep up with the main and telephoto. It remains as skinny as a non-folding flagship, has an even bigger battery, and still sets the benchmark for using multiple apps on an expansive inner screen. Losing a CPU core to keep temperatures in check doesn’t dampen the experience.

After spending time with the Find N6, I came away feeling that Oppo has done more than just refine the formula. This is one of the few foldables that feels designed around everyday use rather than the novelty of unfolding into a larger screen. The ergonomics are better than expected, the crease is remarkably well controlled, battery life is strong, and the software makes the larger display feel genuinely useful. It is still an expensive device, and the camera system does not quite reach the level of the best camera-focused flagships. Even so, the more I used the Find N6, the more complete it felt. There is a level of polish here that remains rare in this category, and it makes a very strong case for itself as one of the best all-around foldables available right now.
