Le Predator 17 X est une bonne alternative au Predator 17 "classique", même si Acer n'a pas corrigé tous les défauts du modèle. Les performances ne méritent clairement aucun critique : l'Intel Core i7-7820HK est un compagnon parfait pour la Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. Des records ont été battus dans le benchmarks, et on peut dire sans hésiter qu'il s'agit ici d'une machine de gaming puissante. La conception est inchangée par rapport aux itérations précédentes de la série

Acer fait entrer un nouveau challenger sur le ring du gaming mobile haut de gamme. Le Predator 17 X est une machine puissante pour le jeu, et un concurrent sérieux aux modèles reconnus sur le marché.

Nous apprécions la qualité des périphériques d’entrée, ainsi que la conception du châssis, mais la dalle nous laisse quelque peu plus mitigés. La luminosité est satisfaisante, mais les temps de latence trop longs. Un autre aspect positif tient dans la possibilité d'overclocker le système. Les limites thermiques du processeur semblent être atteintes un peu trop rapidement, mais le gain en performances reste appréciable.
