Le Dell XPS 13 s'adresse à ceux qui cherchent un ordinateur au design quasi irréprochable et un écran de haut vol à bordures fines. Difficile de trouver un PC mieux fini à ce prix. Il n'offre cela dit pas les meilleures performances, notamment dans la version Core i5 que nous avons testée, mais elles suffiront à la plupart des utilisateurs. Malheureusement, l'autonomie s'est avérée décevante et entache le tableau général.

Sans défaut rédhibitoire, le Dell XPS 13 2022 est une bonne machine ultraportable qui déroule une partition maîtrisée et taillée au cordeau pour satisfaire vos besoins les plus courants, que ce soit pour de la bureautique avancée ou un peu d’édition photo/vidéo. Néanmoins, quand, comme Dell, on joue la carte de la continuité et de la mise à niveau annuelle, on s’expose à se faire coiffer au poteau par des concurrents inattendus ou plus brillants. C’est le cas du Zenbook S 13 OLED, d’Asus, qui n’a non seulement rien à envier au XPS 13, mais lui en remontre un peu. Enfin, pour parler rapidement de son meilleur ennemi, le MacBook Air M2 avec son nouveau design est certes un peu plus cher - mais il lui est supérieur en tout. Même le M1, sorti en 2020, lui tient toujours la dragée haute. Bref, le XPS 13 est un bon ultraportable, sans trop d’imagination ou de prise de risque, qui vous satisfera sans ébouriffer votre quotidien.

Bon partout mais excellent nulle part, le nouveau Dell XPS 13 « Classique » aurait pu devenir une alternative probante et moins coûteuse au XPS 13 Plus (excellent, mais trop onéreux et doté d’innovations pas toujours bien maîtrisées). Il aurait également pu devenir un rival de choix aux derniers Apple MacBook Air, LG Gram 14 et autres Asus ZenBook S13 OLED. Il s’agit à la place d’un PC ultraportable convaincant, mais qui ne restera pas bien longtemps dans les mémoires. Ses performances correctes, mais limitées, en font une machine à écrire de luxe malheureusement incapable de viser des activités plus demandeuses en puissance que du multimédia léger ou de la bureautique. Cette approche un peu trop minimaliste s’étend aussi à la connectique particulièrement réduite de l’appareil, et à l’autonomie parcimonieuse de ce nouveau XPS. Sans jamais décevoir complètement, Dell assure en fait le service minimum sur bien des points, préférant se consacrer cette année à une refonte esthétique assez bienvenue… mais qui aura du mal à motiver un achat à elle seule.

Le Dell XPS 13 9315 est très clairement une petite mise à jour pour la gamme, qui vient surtout s'équiper de la 12e génération d'Intel. A ce titre, elle n'a pas grand-chose d'existant à offrir, mais reste toujours à l'excellent niveau de fabrication de la marque dont on ne peut se lasser. Reste cependant qu'un bon produit ne fait pas un bon rapport qualité/prix. S'il n'a pas grand défaut, le Dell XPS 13 souffre de la comparaison avec ses rivaux. Un Intel U plutôt qu'un Intel P, une dalle IPS LCD 60Hz sRGB au lieu d'une dalle OLED 90Hz couvrant le DCI-P3, une bonne autonomie qui ne pousse pas au-delà de son habitude... Si vous rêviez depuis longtemps d'avoir un Dell XPS 13, prenez donc ce dernier modèle qui sera exactement ce que vous attendez. Mais si vous cherchez à faire la meilleure affaire... Ce n'est pas exactement l'ordinateur qu'il vous faut.

Une nouvelle fois, Dell nous surprend avec un ordinateur sans grands défauts, si ce n’est son écran brillant qui laisse apparaître quelques reflets, ce n’est rien de vraiment dérangeant non plus. C’est la machine idéale par sa finesse et son poids, pour faire une concurrence efficace et sévère au MacBook Air d’Apple. Le Dell XPS 13 9315 est un ordinateur toujours aussi convaincant, qui change pas mal de la version précédente niveau esthétique, mais dont l'esprit de qualité, tant niveau performances que niveau fabrication ne faillit pas.

Foregår store dele af dit arbejds-, hverdags- eller studie-liv med afstand til stikkontakten er Dells fine og lækre XPS 13 maskine en oplagt følgesvend. Den er ikke perfekt - det er der ingen maskiner, der er – men der er indgået kompromisser de helt rigtige steder, hvis du skal have en maskine, der trofast kan levere en god brugeroplevelse på farten.

Where the XPS 13 Plus promised portable power, the XPS 13 promises portable… less power, I guess? Our $1,149 unit includes a Core i5-1230U, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. This unit, however, appears to be sold out on Dell’s website currently. What you can buy is a Core i7-1250U, which is currently $1,199 for a 16GB / 512GB / touchscreen model. A similarly configured M2 MacBook Air is currently selling for $1,699, which makes Dell’s pricing attractive — though the performance benefits Apple delivers for that extra price aren’t insignificant, as we’ll soon discuss. The U-series XPS is a significant step down from the P-series XPS 13 Plus (which was already losing badly to the MacBook) when it comes to the raw numbers. Benchmark scores were lower almost across the board. Especially stark was the 30-minute loop of Cinebench, where the XPS 13 got close to 50 percent of the Plus’s score. It’s clear that the XPS 13’s performance changed significantly after the first 10-minute run.

The DEll XPS 13 9315 remains the one to beat. It combines great performance and outstanding battery life into a slim, svelte package that will be as much computer as most people will ever need. This probably won’t cut it for serious photo or video editors, however, who would be better off with the XPS 13 Plus. Likewise, it won’t work for hardcore gamers who want more video processing power than the integrated Xe graphics adapter can provide. But for those who want a good-looking, hard-working and long-living package that can browse the web, play back videos and handle the thousand and one general computing tasks that we do 99% of the time, it’s a great pick.

Overall, the Dell XPS 13 9315 is a pretty impressive ultralight laptop. It's got one of the smallest footprints and weight profiles you can get for a notebook in an all-aluminum chassis. There's also good performance and a nice display at an affordable entry point on tap here. This Umber finish is just gorgeous, while the Sky finish should appeal to folks who want a lighter color. A higher-resolution webcam and a little more expandability would have been nice, but its great mix of performance, features, and price land the Dell XPS 13 9315 HotHardware's coveted Recommended award.

I may be off point here, but some of the negative reviews the 9315 has gotten may be because of the 13 Plus. The new Dell XPS 13 Plus is a fantastic-looking and wonderful laptop, and the Dell XPS 13 9315 is your average joe in comparison. But I think the average buyer will be better served with this laptop over the more expensive version. It has all the average user needs at a more agreeable price. Most of my cons are the same cons the 13 Plus had. It’s not a perfect laptop; what laptop is? But it’s the one most people, if considering 13″ laptops, should look at.

Dell has split the iconic XPS 13 Ultrabook into 2 lines for 2022. We look at both the standard XPS 13 (9315) and XPS 13 Plus (9320) in this review. Both are extremely compact CNC aluminum 13.4” laptops with 16:10 aspect ratio narrow bezel displays, Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4 and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The Plus offers higher end display options including our 3.5K OLED and 4K IPS, and it has a faster CPU. The Plus sports a new keyboard design and an interesting borderless trackpad too. The XPS 13 standard edition fights back with a lower price tag and a more conventional keyboard.

At first blush, the Dell XPS 13 is an attractive ultraportable for its compact design, thin profile, and unique tinted aluminum material. As soon as you attempt to raise the lid, however, the bloom is off the rose. It’s frustratingly difficult to perform the simple act of opening the laptop. In addition, competing ultrabooks offer better performance and longer battery life than the XPS 13 and its 12th-gen Core i5 chip. Further, the 720p webcam is behind the times and, with only two ports, you are forced to keep track of two tiny adapters. For roughly the same price, the slightly larger but still highly portable HP Pavilion 14 Plus offers better performance along with an OLED display and 1080p webcam.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Dell XPS 13. For 2022, Dell split the XPS 13 into two distinctly different models: the more affordable XPS 13 and the expensive XPS 13 Plus. I feared the base XPS 13 would become a shadow of its former self, but the opposite is true. The base XPS 13 better represents the original mission of the laptop; it’s a premium ultraportable with excellent battery life, a durable design, and a great user experience. Performance is modest but remains fine for day-to-day use and light creative workloads. The result is a laptop that’s great for travel yet enjoyable to use for hours on end. There are a few flaws to note. The lack of physical connectivity, including an absent headphone jack, will turn off those who prefer wired peripherals. The laptop’s webcam, microphone, and display are underwhelming; some competitors in this space offer a 1080p webcam, OLED display, or both. These problems are excused by Dell’s modest pricing, however. It undercuts most premium Windows alternatives, and often by a couple hundred dollars.

Dell's XPS 13 line does one big thing really well -- it's a slim, well-made Windows laptop that kinda gives you the look and feel of a MacBook Air, but running Windows rather than MacOS. And for the past several years, it's filled exactly that niche. That's why it remains one of my favorite Windows laptops. Even better, it starts at $829, well less than even the older M1 MacBook Air, which is still a great laptop but is also two years old at this point. The newer M2 MacBook Air starts at $1,199 and goes up from there. MacBook comparisons aside (although they are inevitable), the latest XPS 13 stands on its own as a great minimalist Windows laptop. It's reasonably thin (around 14mm), light (2.6 pounds) and has a good 13.4-inch full HD display. My spouse, no stranger to these things, saw the new XPS 13 and said, unsolicited, "That's very Apple-y. Good job, Dell."

The Dell XPS 13 (2022) has huge shoes to fill, but while it does what it sets out to do very well, there are going to be those who are going to be sorely disappointed by some of the changes Dell makes to the XPS 13 (2022), and some of these are going to be absolute deal breakers. But the XPS 13 (2022) deserves to be judged on its own merits, rather than solely in comparison to the Dell XPS 13 (Late 2020), this model's immediate predecessor. This is especially the case since that model is arguably the best laptop in its class. Still, while we'll get around to weighing the XPS 13 (2022) objectively a bit later, it is important to acknowledge that the new Dell XPS 13 comes with a pedigree and that can't be ignored. In this regard, the XPS 13 (2022) outperforms the model it's replacing in some key areas, but it falls short in others. How you're going to feel about the new XPS 13 is going to depend entirely on where your concerns fall between the two, whether or not some of these are entirely in Dell's control.

80% Dell XPS 13 (2022) review: a true answer to the MacBook Air

In a lot of ways, the new XPS 13 feels like a response to the overwhelming success of the M1 MacBook Air. While the rest of the Windows ecosystem has continued on, almost pretending as if the MacBook Air didn’t exist, the XPS 13 feels like it’s actually been designed around beating Apple at its own game. It’s still not as powerful or long-lasting as the MacBook Air, but at $829, it’s a killer deal. I love that Dell wasn’t afraid of using the price as an attack against Apple, even if it meant making a few compromises along the way. If I could find a way to add back in a headphone jack, I’d have few qualms recommending this laptop to most people shopping for a Windows laptop. But even as it is, you won’t find another premium laptop under $1,000 quite this good.

Ces cartes devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux d'aujourd'hui, mais la plupart d'entre eux uniquement en détails moyens ou faibles et avec des résolution basses. Les plus vieux jeux ou les jeux moins gourmands restent jouables avec de beaux graphismes.

13.40": Cette diagonale d’écran est surtout utilisée dans les ultraportables, ultrabooks et convertibles. Quoiqu’un peu large, il s’agit de la taille d’écran la plus commune parmi les ultraportables.

Un écran de plus grandes dimensions permettent des résolutions plus élevées, les détails comme la finesse des lettres seront meilleurs. Néanmoins, un écran de plus petite taille est synonyme de consommation énergétique moindre et souvent d’un ordinateur plus compact, plus léger et plus abordable.
