Participant. HP saute sur le marché des convertibles Windows, et en a conçu un à un prix abordable pour l'utilisateur basique. Le design brillant des Pavilions actuels nous a-t-il plu ? La diagonale plus grande, la seconde batterie et le Pentium Bay Trail justifient-ils le prix plutôt élevé ?

Plutôt mitigé car quand on teste un produit on doit prendre en compte le prix et pour 399€, on a tout de même une machine qui rendra heureux n’importe quel utilisateur “basique”. De plus, vous aurez la chance d’avoir un Ordinateur HP avec des enceintes et un système audio Beats et donc Apple, puisque Apple a racheté Beats il y a quelques jours. Surement le dernier HP avec la technologie Beats intégrée !

Le bilan est plus que mitigé pour ce Pavilion11 x360 de HP. Son prix de 400 euros est attractif mais l’endurance et la qualité d’affichage ne sont pas au rendez-vous... Et l'écran qui rebondit dès qu’on commence à poser ses doigts dessus, c'est agaçant. Côté performance, cet ordi vient à bout des applis bureautiques les plus usitées sans faillir. En bref, le Pavilion11 est une machine hybride de consultation rapide correcte pour la maison, mais surement pas LE PC du foyer ou à emmener en voyage.

The benchmarks indicate that solid-state storage contributes more to performance than the availability of an additional 2GB of memory (the Atom Z3770 in the Venue 11 Pro can address only 2GB of memory, where the x360’s Pentium N3520 can deal with up to 8GB). My general feeling from using various Atom tablets and then trying both the Yoga 2 11 and the Pavillion x360 are similar: The limited memory in the Atom products impacted my ability to play some games, such as The Sims 3, but the performance slowdowns stemming from mechanical hard drives in the aforementioned hybrids were much more pervasive.

We prefer the Pavilion x360's keyboard, but we'd happily clack away for an extra two hours on the Yoga 2 11, and it's the latter machine that keeps our Editor's Choice honors.

The laptop has 4GB of RAM and a generous 500GB hard disk, which gives you loads of space for all the media you'll want to take around with you. At £349, the x360 is much cheaper than most lightweight laptops and looks great. However, although it looks dull by comparison, the Budget Buy-winning Acer Travelmate B113-M is £50 cheaper and much more powerful; if you're not fussed about a touchscreen, the B113 is a better choice for a low-cost laptop.

But then there’s that performance, with plenty of lag and slowdowns to go around, so much so that unless all you do is write text and check email or surf the web, you’ll find yourself annoyed and a touch concerned.

We actually took a look at the Pavilion x360 last year and came away unimpressed. At the time it was powered by a Celeron processor and equipped with a terrible TN panel. What a difference a year makes. The HP Pavilion x360 11T Touch Select is by no means a perfect laptop—it could use a better trackpad, better keyboard, and ditch the rotating hinges gimmick altogether in favor of a better processor or slightly larger SSD.

The Pavilion x360 11 is HP’s smallest convertible notebook. It quickly converts into a tablet by virtue of its 360 degree display hinge – simply fold the display back until it’s flush against the underside of the notebook. The x360 11 has sturdy build quality, a comfortable full-size keyboard, good speakers, and plenty of ports. Its limited viewing angle display has average image quality at best, however; its performance leaves much to be desired; and it’s relatively thick and heavy for a notebook this size, let alone a tablet. Its biggest worry, however, is its mediocre battery life. It overall didn’t impress enough to warrant a full recommendation at its asking price, but it could be a good second computer provided you can find it for less.

HP:
Fondée en 1939, la société américaine est un important fabricant de serveurs et d'imprimantes et l'une des principales sociétés informatiques au monde. Jusqu'en 2015, la société s'appelait Hewlett-Packard Company. Après une scission, la division informatique a été renommée HP Inc.
En 2023, HP détenait une part de marché approximative de 22 % des ventes mondiales de PC, ce qui en faisait le numéro 2 après Lenovo.
Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): Carte graphique intégrée pour tablette et ordinateur portable intégrant le SoC Bay Trail. Basée sur la carte graphique intégrée de la génération Ivy Bridge avec quatre unités d'exécution et le support de la librairie DirectX 11.
Intel HD Graphics (Haswell): Carte graphique intégrée aux processeurs Haswell Celeron et Pentium. La HD Graphics est la plus lente des HD Graphics. Du nom de code GT1, il s'agit d'une version bridée en Unités d'Exécution EUs.
La plupart des jeux pas trop demandants actuels peuvent tourner de façon fluide. soyez prêts à endurer un rendu graphique assez moche à cause de la basse résolution et des détails au minimum. Par ailleurs ces cartes sont suffisantes pour un travail de bureau et le visionnage de vidéos (pas évident pour la vidéo HD).
Intel HD Graphics 5300:
Carte graphique intégrée (GT2) à certains processeurs Core M (gamme Y) de génération Broadwell (TDP de 4,5 W).
Intel HD Graphics (Braswell):
Carte graphique intégrée aux processeurs Intel Braswell (Celeron et Pentium), basée sur l'architecture Broadwell (Intel Gen8) prenant en charge les instructions DirectX 11.2. En fonction du processeur, la carte offre soit 12 unités de calcul, soit 16. Les fréquences varient aussi en fonction du processeur
