The HP ZBook Fury 16 G10 is the latest in a long line of powerful, richly featured workstation laptops that are ideal for a certain class of users who need superb performance and impeccable display quality. Being a larger mobile workstation than most to make room for its boundary-straining, high-performance components, the Fury is easy to recommend to users who need a laptop that will mostly be used at a desk but has the option to move about. Yes, the design is bulky, and the battery life is disappointingly short, but workstation laptops pushing the boundaries of performance are rarely built for portability, and the ZBook Fury 16 G10 is one of the most powerful we've tested. Since it trounced the Dell Precision 5680 and Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 on everything but battery life, the HP ZBook Fury 16 G10 snatches the Editors' Choice title as our favorite high-end mobile workstation of the moment.

HP ZBook Fury 16 G10 review – near-silent powerful workstation that is built like a tank

The HP ZBook Fury 16 G10 is a capable workstation for serious long workloads. We like the fact that the two fans are nearly-silent even the CPU is doing the heavy lifting. In this scenario, the processor temperatures are in check while the frequencies and the power limits are decent. Yes, some devices can maintain higher clocks with the same 55W chip (the Core i7-13700HX) at the expense of much higher noise levels. The manufacturer has found a good balance between comfort and performance. Interestingly, in GPU-intensive tasks, the fans are slightly more audible. Keep in mind that our machine isn’t maxed out in terms of specs. If you pick a laptop with the NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Generation and the Core i9-13950HX perhaps the noise levels will be higher and the battery life – shorter. However, the 95Wh battery of our notebook lasts for more than 16 hours of Web browsing. The result is just great and it’s achieved with a 1200p IPS display.

Fondée en 1939, la société américaine est un important fabricant de serveurs et d'imprimantes et l'une des principales sociétés informatiques au monde. Jusqu'en 2015, la société s'appelait Hewlett-Packard Company. Après une scission, la division informatique a été renommée HP Inc.

En 2023, HP détenait une part de marché approximative de 22 % des ventes mondiales de PC, ce qui en faisait le numéro 2 après Lenovo.

Ces cartes graphiques devraient être capables de faire tourner tout les jeux récents (avec quelques exceptions) en haute résolution avec un bon niveau de détail.

NVIDIA RTX A5500 Laptop GPU:

Carte graphique professionnelle haut de gamme pour ordinateur portable basée sur la puce Ampere GA103S. Basée sur la GeForce GTX 3080 Ti grand public avec des pilotes certifiés. Disponible en différentes variantes de performance allant de 80 à 165 W TGP (consommation électrique maximale).

NVIDIA NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU:

Carte graphique professionnelle haut de gamme pour ordinateur portable basée sur l'architecture Ada Lovelace. Elle utilise la même puce AD103 que le GPU RTX 4090 pour ordinateur portable avec 9 728 cœurs CUDA et 16 Go de VRAM GDDR6 avec un bus mémoire de 256 bits. Le TDP peut varier de 80 à 175 Watt.

Intel Alder Lake-S:

i9-12950HX: CPU mobile basé sur Alder Lake avec 8 cœurs de performance et 8 cœurs d'efficacité. Les cœurs de performance offrent un hyper threading, ce qui permet de traiter 24 threads. L'horloge du processeur est cadencée entre 1,7 et 5 GHz. L'unité centrale prend en charge la mémoire vPro et ECC.

Intel Raptor Lake-HX:

i9-13950HX: CPU mobile basé sur la série Raptor Lake qui offre 24 cœurs (8 cœurs de performance, 16 cœurs d'efficacité) avec un cœur Boost allant jusqu'à 5,8 GHz pour les cœurs P. Similaire au i9-139000K de bureau, mais avec des vitesses d'horloge et un TDP réduits.
