The affordable phone space is a veritable battle royale right now, with lots of brands packing in serious specs for comparatively little cash. While the Honor 400 comes out swinging with its clean looks, high pixel count camera and AI-packed software, it can’t quite land its punches in other areas. It’s no performance powerhouse, at a point where rivals like Poco are putting chips from the class above in their cut-price handsets, and battery life is more respectable than revolutionary. Spend a little more and you can get proper endurance. There’s not a whole lot of breathing room between this and the last-gen Honor 200, either. However, if you’re a fan of the looks – or value photography over trips to a power socket – and don’t want to raise your budget to a more mid-range alternative, the Honor 400 still holds a certain appeal.

Considering its photography prowess, the Honor 400 is a well-made little phone. Don’t let the fact that it only has two cameras at the rear put you off. By cropping into the main sensor’s high-resolution images, you have yourself a capable telephoto unit that delivers sharp and detailed results up and AI Super Zoom steps in over 15x zoom to enhance and correct images. The second, ultra-wide camera is a slightly weaker performer but still fares well, whereas the front camera shoots appealing selfies and has a wide enough focus field; autofocus would have been a welcome addition. All that said, the Honor 400 was a joy to use for photography and would make the average user very happy indeed.

Yes, especially if you’re on a budget and don’t care about losing a telephoto lens. You can go for the 400 Pro if you’re willing to spend a little more to cover that gap, but you’ll be fine here if you can accept the imposed limits.

The Honor 400 makes a good first impression with its sharp and vibrant OLED display. It's well-calibrated, bright, and pleasant to use outdoors, giving the phone a premium feel in day-to-day interaction. Though more angular than the Pro model, the design has its distinct charm and feels solidly built. However, beyond the surface, the Honor 400 starts to falter. While performance is adequate for casual use, it lacks the snappiness and power we've come to expect from phones in this price range. Demanding apps and heavier multitasking reveal the limitations of the chipset, and there's noticeable hesitation in some scenarios. The battery life is another weak point. With a below-average endurance score in our testing, the Honor 400 lags behind much of the competition in terms of longevity.

After two hours of gaming, our battery dropped from 100% to 75%. Overall, for a device priced at PHP22,999, the HONOR 400 5G did an impressive job handling both competitive and graphically demanding titles. Despite using an older chip, it still offers a gaming performance that may not be the best but is enough to handle your needs. For those planning to get the HONOR 400 5G, its performance on competitive titles won’t be a problem. And for ARPG fans, yes, it can run most Gacha games with only minor issues. All in all, the HONOR 400 5G can game!

All that said, the Honor 400 isn’t without its imperfections. One key consideration is the presence of pre-installed third-party applications—the phone runs Android with Honor’s Magic OS, and while it offers extensive customization options for themes, icons, and interface aesthetics, it also comes with a sizeable amount of third-party apps. Users who prefer a lean and clean Android experience, might want to go for something like a Pixel phone instead. In the grander scheme of things though, the Honor 400 still manages to shine largely due to its competitive pricing compared to other mid-range smartphones. It’s also more affordable than the Honor 400 Pro, and includes features absent from the more budget-friendly Honor 400 Lite. At £399 for the base version and £450 for expanded storage, the Honor 400 undercuts rivals like the Google Pixel 9a, while delivering a terrific display, a very capable chipset, reliable battery life, and those engaging AI party tricks courtesy of Google’s VEO 2 AI.

As for its price, the HONOR 400 5G is priced at PHP22,999 for the 12GB+512GB configuration, which is lower than its predecessor, making it a better choice. Overall, the HONOR 400 5G is a great all-around device that offers an impressive screen and strong camera performance with some notable AI features. Although they could have retained the dedicated telephoto lens from its predecessor or opted for a better chip, all in all, I would recommend the HONOR 400 5G as it is a premium-looking device with some promising features.

To sum it up, the Honor 400 is a solid phone. It holds its own against competitors – the design and display are great. Performance is standard. I missed the telephoto lens, but the overall camera performance is still good. Battery life is great, and you don’t need to buy a separate charger. If you’re someone who uses a lot of AI features, this phone offers plenty – the deepfake detection feature is especially impressive. That said, the price could’ve offered better value – if it was around Rs. 60,000–62,000, this would’ve been one of the best options out there.

For such an affordable price, I’m surprised by everything the Honor 400 provides, including a truly mesmerizing display, respectable performance, and a sizeable amount of internal storage. However, if you already own last year’s Honor 200, you may want to skip this update and wait another year or two before upgrading.

The HONOR 400 is one of those rare midrange phones that feels like it’s overdelivering. From the excellent display to the surprisingly powerful camera and genuinely useful AI tools, this is a device that goes beyond just getting the basics right. It’s not flawless — wireless charging is missing, and some AI features feel a little ahead of their time — but it handles everything I threw at it with ease. After a few weeks of regular use, I’ve come to appreciate just how well-rounded it is. It looks good, runs smoothly, takes great photos and lasts all day. If you’re looking for a solid, smart Android phone that doesn’t cost flagship money, the HONOR 400 is well worth a look.

The HONOR 400 is not the snappiest phone out there, and it’s not meant to be. At its €499 price tag, it’s supposed to be a solid phone with good features, and that’s exactly what it is. Even though I wish HONOR used a better processor here, as it would make a huge difference, the phone works fine, as long as you don’t mind some stuttering. It has a solid camera, good display, and great battery life. Fast charging is also here, along with plenty of features, both AI and others. There’s plenty to like here, and the only thing that I truly didn’t like is that chip on the inside, it simply makes the phone less snappy that it should be.

Time for the million-dollar question! Should you buy the Honor 400 5G? The answer, anticlimactically, is it depends. The phone does some things right and neglects others. For starters, the display is beautiful—thin bezels, bright and colorful, sharp and detailed. The main camera is also pretty decent; not many phones in this price range get the 200MP treatment in this department. Furthermore, the wired charging is pretty fast, and we can't overlook the design (quite literally). Last but not least, the Honor 400 comes with the promise of 6 years of major OS updates, though we're not sure if the hardware will manage to live up to that promise. Now, not everything is roses, though.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is one of the best camera phones I've ever tested, and there's plenty to like about this smartphone beyond the stunning design, camera quality, and AI-infused software. I have tested this phone in extreme weather conditions, including photographing landscapes from the top of a snow-covered mountain, and its performance excelled in all areas. It's an ideal phone for content creators, packed with imaging tools to make shooting and editing a breeze. It might be a little too out-there for Apple users, but if you're looking for a flagship-level Samsung alternative, then the Honor Magic 7 Pro is a perfect choice.

With a score of 149, the Honor 400 delivered solid overall performance, standing out particularly in color accuracy and screen readability. However, its video playback and touch responsiveness left room for improvement. The screen was easy to read in indoor environments, but it struggled outdoors due to limited brightness. Competing devices offer much brighter displays, and the device’s peak brightness was measured at 1278 cd/m²—relatively low for its category. On a positive note, the device handles screen flickering well, using a high-frequency PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) at 3848Hz, which is generally more comfortable for the eyes. Color reproduction was a strong point, with natural and accurate colors in all lighting conditions. In addition, color shift is well controlled when the device is viewed at an angle.

Honor has taken a subtly different tack with its latest mid-ranger, and it’s paid off. By making a few judicious cuts from the Honor 200 – or even just keeping a few elements the same – it has been able to offer a capable phone at a £100 discount. As such, it’s no longer competing with the mighty Pixel 9a or the Samsung Galaxy A56. Smart. The company hasn’t rested on its laurels, however. The Honor 400 is a sharp-looking phone with a truly excellent display and a very good 200MP main camera. Stamina is decent, too, thanks to a large 5300mAh battery, while charging speeds are snappy enough. Throw in six years of software support, and the Honor 400 is a very interesting proposition at around the £400 mark. Regardless of what the spec sheet says, it’s the kind of mid-range phone that doesn’t feel as much of a step down as the price suggests.

The Honor 400 is a solid mid-range phone with a stacked spec sheet and tonnes of great features. The cameras are solid, the battery lasts a long time, and it looks and feels premium. It’s not enough of a powerhouse to satisfy keen gamers, but elsewhere the performance is great.

Honor has arguably put out its most premium-looking mid-range phone yet with the Honor 400. With a screen that matches flagship devices, alongside great cameras and a guaranteed six years of software updates, the Honor 400 is a true bargain in its price range, with the only major reason to seek out a different device behind MagicOS, which just isn’t as intuitive as competing Android overlays.

Fresh off the back of the Honor 400 Lite review, I have another Honor device to unbox and review. This time, it is the midtier of the series, the Honor 400. There have been some changes from the Honor 400 Lite that are worth investigating, particularly the camera and its controls.

On the whole, the Honor 400 is a good update to its predecessor. The new camera at the back does a great job with photos in general, and the phone lasts all day with relative ease even though it's smaller than most of its rivals. The internals aren't quite up to scratch, and if you want a phone predominantly for mobile gaming, there are much better choices available. I like what Honor is doing with the software as well, and its AI suite is better than most other brands in this category. Honor is clearly going after Samsung with the device, and after using both, I can safely say that the Honor 400 is a much better choice than the Galaxy A56 in the areas that actually matter.

The Honor 400 is a great option for a modern AI-enabled phone that will serve the vast majority of mobile phone users well. It has plenty of power for navigating the UI and playing all but the most demanding of games. It has a very capable camera system supported by a wide array of AI goodies, thanks to the close ties that Honor is making with Google. As to where it sits in the smartphone environment as a whole, I would put this up against the likes of the Pixel 9 and the Samsung A56 devices. If you don’t have an enormous budget and you want a phone that ticks a lot of boxes, then go with this. If, however, you need a telephoto lens and wireless charging, then it would be worth looking at the Honor 400 Pro as it will have all the same features s the Honor 400 apart from the Telephoto or Wireless charging.

The Honor 400 is a mid-range phone with a 200-megapixel camera and the ability to turn any still image into a 5-second video clip using Google’s Veo 2 platform! This is the first phone to be able to leverage Veo 2’s prowess and the results are uncanny. The phone also packs a 5,000 mAh battery and a 6.5-inch flat OLED screen. Honor 400 is one of several phones launching today including a higher tier Honor 400 Pro that adds a telephoto zoom lens that’s missing in the standard 400.

The Honor 400 Pro is an almost-flagship phone that offers solid performance, excellent camera quality, a beautiful display, and hides a few AI tricks up its sleeve that you won't find elsewhere on a phone at this price point. It's a great option for those needing a capable handset without the premium price tag that comes with more flagship alternatives, and I found that it's a winner for content creation and editing too - thanks to Honor's AI tools (like the industry-first AI image-to-video). You also get the intuitive MagicRing ecosystem and very reliable hardware. Overall, it’s pretty darn impressive.

Despite its mild shortcomings, the Honor 400 Pro is a viable flagship-lite alternative that measures up well against its closest competitors. It comes with two unique AI features that are rarely found in other alternatives, which can help appeal to budget-conscious flagship aficionados. Will it surpass the S$869 Poco F7 Ultra? Not quite. Poco’s similarly priced phone has a better display resolution, a significantly more powerful chipset, and decent camera performance to help it along. However, the S$899 Honor 400 Pro trades all that out for an upsized battery uptime, which satisfies a group of users who care more about longer hours than anything else. Among its many alternatives, only the S$799 Xiaomi 14T Pro poses a real threat, offering comparable performance in every aspect.

Honor’s great run continues on a solid smartphone performer with an impressive feature-set. Honor 400 Pro can do all the essentials for a reasonable price. You get a speedy chip, stylish design, pleasing camera hardware, flagship-grade AI tools, excellent battery and superfast charging. It’s a direct competitor to similarly priced phones such as Oppo’s Reno 13 Pro (which uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip) and Apple’s iPhone 16e (which only has one camera).

In short, the Honor 400 Pro sees upgrades across the board while managing to retain the same affordability as its predecessor. That’s a clear algorithm for success. The six years of software support makes it one of the best investments in its price range, video finally gets 4K/60fps and improvements to performance and battery life keep it competitive with its biggest rivals. In fact, I’ve struggled to find meaningful areas in which the Honor 400 Pro falls down. Some of the image processing in the cameras isn’t optimal and the lack of official protective glass leaves me questioning if it’s as scratch-resistant as some competitors but otherwise, there’s very little wrong here. The Honor 400 Pro is a jack of all trades that offers near-flagship quality at a much more manageable price.

Prices for high-end smartphones have risen significantly in recent years, and $1,200 to $1,300 is now the norm. With the 400 Pro, Honor is offering a flagship experience at a significantly lower price of $999.99. To achieve this price point, some sacrificed had to be made, such as using last year's flagship processor and using less-than-stellar camera sensors, for instance. However, these measures hardly affected the overall performance. The high-quality workmanship was just as impressive as the MagicOS user interface, which scored points with its numerous customization options and long update support. Of course, the Honor 400 Pro cannot quite keep up with the best of the best on the market. With its price, the Honor 400 Pro is positioned exactly between the Magic7 Pro for $1,399.00 and the Honor Magic7 Lite for $400, and should therefore be an interesting option for many users who want something that straddles the mid-range and premium segments.

And I think, for Nepal, the Honor 400 Pro is going to be a very important product. Why? Because the Honor 400 Pro has smartly tapped into the market in this price range. First of all, Honor Nepal has set the price well — it’s about NPR 35,000 cheaper than in Europe! The Honor 200 Pro nails the basics with slick design, smooth performance, and a camera that loves portraits—thanks to its Harcourt-style shots. The Honor 400 Pro is a near-perfect all-rounder. The camera system punches above its class, battery life is dependable even if not exceptional, the display checks all the boxes, charging is faster than most, and the loudspeakers sound nice. Honor also promises "six years of software upgrades" (potentially six major OS updates), which is up there with the best. Our only complaint is the chipset and pricing. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 isn't inherently a bad chipset, you could easily get a device with the Snapdragon 8 Elite in this price bracket. With an MSRP of €800, the Honor 400 Pro easily ventures into flagship killer, or even full-fledged flagship, territory, making it tougher to compete. But with Honor's early €150 discount, the handset is extremely easy to recommend. You will make a small compromise with performance and none in other aspects like display, cameras, charging and battery life.

Overall, the HONOR 400 Pro is a solid mid-range phone that's worthwhile. It has a beautiful screen and a near-flagship chipset capable of playing the latest games and delivers good performance. In addition, it has a long battery life, ultra-fast charging, and a charger in the box. However, those expecting useful AI functionalities on the HONOR 400 Pro might be disappointed. HONOR still needs to polish features like AI Image to Video a bit more before they become fully viable. Hopefully, we can see some improvements with future updates. For alternatives, you can consider the HONOR 400 (RM1899). It has the same AI features as its Pro counterpart and is more affordable, in exchange for a slower chipset and charging speed. It also doesn't have a telephoto camera. Another option is the realme GT 7 (RM2599), which performs on par with the HONOR 400 Pro. However, this phone doesn't have any AI features. If you want a phone with an eye-catching design, the OPPO Reno13 (RM2299) could be a better option instead.

The Honor 400 Pro offers up a well-balanced flagship experience, with one or two judicious compromises, for a good chunk of money less than a true flagship. It’s not the first phone to offer such a combination, nor is it the cheapest, but it’s compelling nonetheless. Solid performance, a capable AI-enhanced camera, and a brilliant screen stand out, and there’s little that warrants a flat-out complaint here except for the usual UI gripes.

In short, the Honor 400 Pro sees upgrades across the board while managing to retain the same affordability as its predecessor. That’s a clear algorithm for success. n just a few short years, Honor has transformed its upper-midrange phones into true mainstream flagships. The 400 Pro can comfortably rub shoulders with Google and Samsung’s mass market models, thanks to its capable rear camera trio, high capacity battery, and impressively wide-reaching software smarts. Not everyone wants their photo galleries filled with AI-adjusted images, and Honor still needs to remember customers paying this sort of cash have a lower tolerance for pre-installed bloat. But the colourful screen, modern (yet still unique) styling and slightly more affordable price make it a genuine alternative for those who aren’t obsessed over brand names.

While the smartphone competition is hotting up for 2025, if you pick up an Honor phone, you’re typically guaranteed a solid user experience, a complete feature-set and a reliable camera in most situations, and the Honor 400 Pro is no exception. Honor’s latest upper midranger combines a great screen with fast wired and wireless charging, plenty of power and a versatile, capable camera mix that can take excellent photos and videos. While some aspects of the Honor 400 Pro experience let it down – photo processing inconsistencies across its three cameras and very aggressive power management – it’s still easy to recommend for anyone looking for a do-it-all smartphone without a flagship price tag. So if you don’t need the very best smartphone of 2025 and are happy with one of the best value high-end alternatives, alongside the Poco F7 Ultra and Motorola Edge 60 Pro, the Honor 400 Pro could be a winning choice for photographers and creatives alike.

The Honor 400 Pro can do it all, and it does it at a reasonable price. With a speedy chip inside, serious camera hardware, flagship-level AI features, a long-lasting battery and quick charging, it leaves little to be desired. That said, a plastic frame, divisive software and fairly weak ultrawide camera could be deal breakers for some.

Admittedly, I’m a little torn on how to feel on the Honor 400 Pro. Don’t get me wrong, this is a capable mid-range handset that delivers on a sleek, grown-up look, a gorgeous screen and marvellous efficiency that pit it against the very best mid-range phones out there, but there is just something about it. It might be the triple camera array that Honor has made a lot of that’s holding me back. General performance here is good, with great detail and more natural colours than some key rivals, but the meagre low light performance in some settings and reliance on AI trickery at longer focal lengths stop it being an full-blown ‘go buy this now’ recommendation. This is an excellent phone for the most part, and it’ll give you all of what you need/want in a phone in 2025, but you can do better with some rivals for outright potency and camera performance.

With a new, unique design and improved main camera, the 400 Pro confidently builds on the foundation laid by its predecessor. It excels in portrait photography, offering versatile creative options with the Harcourt modes, adjustable bokeh, and a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus — a rare find at this price. Despite some drawbacks like inconsistent colours between the cameras, the 400 Pro delivers a solid performance across the board. The macro performance is really good, and features like the large 5370mAh battery, 5000-nit OLED display, and fast processor add substantial value.

The Honor 400 Pro is equipped with a sizable 6,000mAh battery that recharges at a pacey 100W via USB-C. During my testing, the phone comfortably lasts an entire day for me. I usually end the day with 50% battery left. In PCMark's battery test, the Honor clocked 10hr 10min, which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S25. Given that it's also a value flagship using the same processor, the Poco F7 Pro is a likely competitor to the Honor 400 Pro. At S$899, the Honor is more expensive than the Poco (S$729), but the Honor has better cameras, and more AI tools. On the other hand, the Poco has the advantage for battery life. Both are solid upper mid-range models for those who want a near flagship phone experience without the hefty price tag. Pre-order now to receive freebies worth up to S$436 (valid till May 29) from Honor's official stores on Lazada and Shopee.

If more devices like the Honor 400 Lite came our way at this price tag (or less), we'd probably find ourselves inventing things to complain about to keep the snarky Stuff soul alive. Being one of the few exceptions to the mid-range smartphone rule, the 400 Lite backs it all up with a generous AMOLED display and overachieving battery that'll more than make up for the underperforming innards and camera.

I’m not a fan of Honor doubling down on the Apple cosplay. It feels like a lack of confidence in the product, which is madness because, as far as budget phones go, the Honor 400 Lite is one of the best. Performance and battery life are better than last year, the main camera is still a decent shooter, its IP65 rating means it’s more robust and that new 120Hz display makes everything feel lovely and smooth in use. Plus, of course, the software support is fantastic. I could have done without the superfluous camera button and the backup cameras aren’t up to the same standard as the main one, but otherwise, it’s extremely well-rounded. For £250, it’s a good amount of phone, and delivers the kind of value for money Apple fans can only dream of. It would, however, be nice to see Honor move away from imitation and commit to establishing its own identity with the next generation.

Overall, the Honor 400 Lite is a compelling midrange smartphone that balances innovative AI features with quick access camera features via the AI Button. While it makes a few compromises, particularly with its processor, battery and charging speed, the unique AI Button, comprehensive AI editing suite, and advanced recording capabilities truly set it apart. The trade-offs between the 400 Lite and the more robust X9c highlight Honor's strategic decision to prioritise cutting-edge software and user convenience in this model. For users who value a feature-rich camera experience and smart AI integrations in a manageable form factor, the Honor 400 Lite presents a strong case, offering substantial value for its price. It can be found online starting at R7 500.

The Honor 400 Lite found itself on the cusp of something interesting, where in so blindly copying the design of another, it has somehow found itself travelling around the curve and back again at originality. Perhaps it is due to so many smartphones being designed to feel good and look good, but not necessarily to remain comfortable to use after hours of use. The 400 Lite is, well, light and causes no strain, and as such is a small revelation. On top of that, with a good display, decent performance and strong battery life, it certainly has more than a few arrows to its quiver; however, it is not without weaknesses. The camera, for all of its megapixels, does nothing to impress.

The Honor 400 Lite tries to emulate the iPhone’s premium look at a budget-friendly price of NPR 40,000, and it succeeds in design and display quality. The lightweight build, AMOLED panel, and long-term software support are strong points. However, its average performance, underwhelming cameras, and lackluster video capabilities hold it back. The absence of stereo speakers, Gorilla Glass, and robust haptics further dampens its appeal. At this price, alternatives like the CMF Phone 2 Pro (review) or Redmi Note 14 Pro (review) may offer better performance and camera experience. If you’re drawn to its iPhone-like design and don’t prioritize heavy gaming or photography, the Honor 400 Lite is a decent choice, but it doesn’t fully justify its NPR 40,000 price tag.

Honor 400 Lite does a great job of delivering premium iPhone-style features on a budget-priced phone. In 2025, this is a competitive price point with options from Nothing and Samsung offering plenty of alternatives. But anyone who buys this Honor unit should be pleased by the value-for-money feature set.

At S$339, the Honor 400 Lite is competitively priced. The Vivo V50 Lite, which is quite similar, but has a larger battery, is S$499. While you get several iPhone-like features, and an iPhone-inspired design, the Honor is a budget mainstream model that's not as capable as Apple's. While I wasn't a fan of the cameras, they can do the job, and the overall experience of using the Honor is good. The general performance, especially, is fine, and the screen is nice. It's pretty good value for the price. It's available now from Lazada and Shopee.

Honor looks like they have set the tone for another series with the 400 Lite, and it is for the most part, a very good base from which to build future devices, as they did with the 200 series last year. Yes there are a few compromises that have been made to get the price to where they needed it to be and these may be deal breakers but for a lot of people, they won’t. I know that if I were looking for a second phone (for work use maybe) or a phone for my family members, then this would defiantly be one on my radar. When looking at competition then you are going to be looking at the likes of the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G (£199), OnePlus Nord 4 (£399) Samsung Galaxy A26 5G (£249).

Most can’t justify spending a fortune on an iPhone, but still want the looks and camera handling of one. And that’s where the 400 Lite comes in. You obviously don’t get multiple high-resolution sensors or the speed or image quality of a flagship iPhone. But the Honor’s main camera performs well in most scenarios, sufficient for a beginner taking casual photos. On the whole, the Honor 400 Lite looks good, has a bright screen and a snappy camera button and most importantly, doesn’t break the bank.

The Honor 400 Lite is a fascinating budget Android phone that seems way more enamored with the Apple way of doing things. Its similarity to the iPhone results in a solid handset with some appealing features, including a dedicated camera button and a handy notch widget system. However, the Honor 400 Lite takes its eye off the ball in some key areas, including performance and camera quality.

Having used the Honour 400 Lite for a few days now, I can say that it falls firmly into the lower end of the current smartphone market. This is perfectly acceptable, as it aligns with the intended market. However, there are a couple of shortcomings that I’ve noticed. The most significant ones are the single loudspeaker setup and the lack of wireless charging. While these features are not uncommon in high-end or high-priced devices, they are still a downside for this phone. The performance can also be a bit slow at times. However, this may be due to the fact that the phone is currently running on pre-release software, as it is not officially launching until the end of the month. Despite these minor flaws, if you’re looking for a low-cost entry-level smartphone with good battery life and reasonable charging speeds, then the Honour 400 Lite might be worth considering. I’ll provide a more detailed review in the future, after I’ve had a chance to use the phone for a bit longer.

If the Honor 400 Lite looked any different, it’d be lost in the shuffle. As affordable phones go it’s an alright performer, takes a decent enough photo, and can go all day on a charge – but the same can be said for most of its rivals. The top contenders also excel in one or more areas. The Poco X7 Pro lasts even longer and has more power; the Nothing Phone 3a has unique looks and streamlined software; the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is way tougher. Honor’s own Magic 7 Lite remains the longevity champ, and you won’t mistake it for an iPhone. But maybe that’s exactly what you want? None of the cheap competition do such a convincing impression of a premium handset. If you don’t mind paying for that design, you’ll be happy enough with what the 400 Lite offers for the cash. A very affordable all-rounder that’s rather shameless in its iPhone inspirations. The Honor 400 Lite appeals to those who like the Apple look, but budget rivals arguably have more unique personalities.

Reviewing the Honor 400 Lite, a budget Android smartphone which beats the iPhone 16 Pro phones for AI smarts and in many other departments! You've even got a more customisable camera button. So is the Honor 400 Lite one of the best affordable Androids in 2025? I've been testing it as my full-time mobile these past few days, and besides the quite basic performance, it's been a decent everyday experience. The DImensity chipset is fine for gaming on Call of Duty, PubG etc, but more intensive titles like Wuthering Waves struggle.
