La série Blade 15 est vieille d’à peine un an, et s’est déjà vue équipée de deux générations successives de cartes graphiques Nvidia GeForce et de multiples écrans, dont le FHD 144 Hz et l’OLED. Pour ce test, nous nous concentrerons sur la version RTX 2070 Max-Q, pour voir quels gains de performances elle apporte par rapport à la version GTX 1070 Max-Q de l’an dernier.

Razer packed plenty of performance into this small body, the build is just as robust as it's always been, the software has a purpose and works well, the trackpad is huge and works flawlessly, the screen is great, you get punchy front-facing speakers and they’ve even added biometrics into the tiny bezel. It still sits a little higher in cost than the competition, but the premium is worth it.

Razer Blade 15 Advanced review: good gaming machine, bad laptop

Most gamers would not take issue with any of the things I’ve pointed out, but when Razer is charging as much as it is for the Blade 15 lineup, it’s not unreasonable to expect a little more from the machine. After all, if performance was the only thing I was concerned about, there are plenty of other gaming laptops out there that match or exceed the Blade 15’s performance and do it with even lighter designs and much lower price tags. Even Microsoft’s Surface Book 2, which is more of a regular computer that can also play games as opposed to a gaming laptop that can also do work, offers a bit more bang for the buck than Razer.

Pas grand chose n'a changé par rapport au Blade 15 de l'an dernier du point de vue du design, mais le nouveau Core i7-10875H 8 cœurs de 10e génération permettra des gains notables de performances par rapport au Core i7-9750H 6 cœurs de 9e génération. Le passage de l'ancienne GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q à la dernière GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q aura en revanche moins d'impact.
